Just sold my first piece of furniture today, your original design for the entryway bench! Took 3 weeks and sold for $130. I'm 15 years old, really anyone can do this!
Well worth the wait. Thanks for another fantastic video. Every time you post one it’s helping me to “get out of my own way” and get to building. Additionally, I’m glad you mentioned you’re working on plans. Although you do an excellent job explaining the steps, I’m one of those “plans in the hand” kind of guys. Thanks for all your efforts.
I realize this video is older. Hope you see it. QUESTION? 1st I'm not criticizing. I'm curious. I need to understand. For that screw that is 3 1/4 long and barely bites into the last board. Unless you countersink it deeper. Why not use a smaller screw and screw the 1st piece to the board then screw the 2nd piece to the 1st piece. I know it's a few extra screws. But wouldn't it be a bit better? Less risk of countersinking to deep?
Hi, if you are referring to screwing in the X bracing, yes, I now drill about an inch down with a forstner bit just bigger than the screw head and then insert the screw.

Just added to my shopping cart. Are you considering adding plans for your previous designs? I'm definitely interested.
@@eltee9547 Anything in particular?
@@RonniesWorkshop The 6 drawer console table for starters and if I'm being honest, any of the previous entryway benches you've posted.
@@eltee9547 thanks for the feedback! I will see what I can do.

Looks good Ronnie!
Thanks!
Looks great. Looks like you're stepping it up on the video editing as well.
Thanks!
Great Video! Just curious - Which piece of lumber did you create the bottom slats from and how?
Slats are 3-1/2" wide Pine. A 1x4 Pine board is 3-1/2" wide. I then beveled each end about halfway at a 45 degree angle.
@@RonniesWorkshop Thanks!
