- How to install window trim studs in a classic American muscle car, fast and easy!
If you did any body work on your classic Pontiac Firebird or Chevy Camaro first-generation f body car and need to replace or reinstall the little studs around the window frame of the front and rear glass, then this video is for you. I'll show you how far apart each clip should be, how deep into the window channel the stud should go, and where to buy them.

Great instructor .all the best to yous and your loved ones
Thank you Donald, doing my best to help others out.
Good info. My front is gtg but I'm going to have to do this to the rear.
Awesome work. I Gave all of those little things for my body shop to install, hopefully they remembered. Are you going to do a video on installing the window and trim?
You proboply did the better thing lol and yes will be doing a video on the window install and trim when she is ready.
Looks good, getting there.
Thank you sir, hope you're doing well.
It's looking good
hoping to have it road worthy in the next month of so
I am thinking i would place a little fresh (wet) epoxy primer on the threads just before they bottom out. That would reduce the chances of corrosion setting in there.
that is not a bad idea at all!!! thanks for that tip
Nice job brother are you going to video the rear glass also I think you should
Doing the rear today and should have a video ready by next week on that one luis! thank you for always watching and dropping a comment my Firebird Brother
I ended up welding mine in.
That idea did pop into my head!!!

Post up a part number or where you got em from... nothing in the description states where. Not even in the video or comments
Do you have part# are they stainless? Oh and post a pic of your stud map around window for measurements if you can ty i`m sure all nova camaro firebird are the same for those guys.
Ill see if I can get that scanned and posted!
When you taped the tooungue depressions you change the height of your studs
You're right, but thank god GM isn't perfect! lol
My 69 is a vinyl top car and there are more studs than hard top. 3.5” to 4” apart
You might be right!
