I don’t know one thing about logging (I’m a row crop farmer in the flatlands of the Midwest) but I love these videos. Love the shot on the outside of the cab and we can hear the hydraulics noise… very interesting to see how many things you have to control all at once.
Been watching your videos for awhile now. I have learned a few tricks from you for running my lh845d processor, in the driftless region of south western Wisconsin. We don’t got mountains but we get some decent hills around here cutting high dollar hardwood. I shovel log form time to time to get the tree to a flatter spot for my forwarder. Keep um coming. Makes me want to get a go pro myself and start filming too.
Get one! It’s fun making movies! And trying to get better shots and more creative! I wouldn’t mind seeing how you guys log over there also, it’s amazing how everyone has different ideas and ways to do it, I like watching videos of different people logging just to maybe pick up on some new tricks myself!
I've seen a lot of guys run bunchers, and ran one myself , both dangle head and hotsaw ,I can tell you've spent a lot of time in the seat, pretty smooth 👍, that tether would be nice.
Thank you I appreciate that! Think I started full time in a buncher was 2014, I had a Timbco that I could switch from hotsaw to a 622b Waratah for our summer time thinning jobs!
I have not had that happen, hope I never do too lol this line is 1in power pack rated for 165k lbs before it comes apart if I remember correctly, but we only pull to about 44k lbs if needed but most of the time im running 18-24k lbs on my tension monitor!
So my foot pedals in the Tigercat sends a signal to my base/ anchor machine at the top of the hill, so forward on my pedals pulls me in and backwards on my pedals releases my winch, I can manually control it on my touch screen monitor that also show me how much tension is on my line! I also have a camera by my drum on my winch that I can watch from my cab of the cutter on a iPad which is also communicated by antenna signal, I think I have video on the channel how it works if I remember correctly!

Doesn’t the tracking alarm annoy you, surely you’re not needing it in that steep terrain.
