I love bossa nova and while it isn’t their first song within that genre, I was so surprised to hear it in one of their title tracks. I was honestly a little scared that the song wasn’t gonna hit hard enough but I’m so glad that it did.
I´ve read comments wishing this song was a bside. I feel like even if this was a bside it wouldnt receive the amount of attention that a standard uplifting title track tend to get (seen it all the other title tracks from twice). With this song it can show people how versatile twice are and how they are capable of embodying different genres and styles. I also think it is good to see twice going for a more chill vibe and although I havent seen the full choreo, I like that the pace is a lot more toned down. Last year with the hate that some of the members recieved for their singing this one feels more align with their range capabilities which I think is great.

I would give a 6/10 to the vocals, but in a song like this we need 10/10. I am thrilled they went this direction. Between every "harder" bop we've gotten in recent months (First, Butter, Mafia, Bicycle, Tail, etc.) I personally love that Twice took a more relaxed tone and still delivered on vocals, visuals and choreography.
By taking the risk of making a chill song a title track, it could have been boring but I think the song is just perfect the way it is, it's chill but still makes you dance a little and the bossa nova rhythm gives energy to the song ☀️🌊
