I mean most of maldivians originate from india it isnt suprising that it looks indian. the oldest dance from dhandi jehun is directly related to gujrathi dandiya
I'm Maldivian, you living here for 11 years doesn't mean you know my culture better than me. Its not a traditional dance whilst it may have cultural aspect. So GTFO
Jummi, You are a Maldivian and will definitely know more about Malfives. I mentioned that I was there for eleven years was just to prove that on what ground I said that the dance was related to Maldives and not to prove that I know more of Maldives that any Maldivian. Culture and tradition are often interlinked in most of the situation as one hasv no place without the other. (You yourself have said it in the last part of your post!)We can even say that ones culture is based on one’s tradition whether it is a faith or superstition. In the same manner a belief or practice observed by a people after sometime form part of their tradition. For example one art presentation connected with a religious ceremony can not be called a ’cinematic’ dance but a performance connected with that regions tradition/culture. My final word: ”O have been brought up under a tradition that has conditioned me to respect all nations and never even say or do anything to slander the good practices of any other country”.
This new resort was opened 2015. Or did you mean the locals island Maamigili? Since there is no general phone number, but each participant has its own landline phone, mobile phone or fax number.
+MaledivenGerhard thanks man bu i meant local maamigly island , and there were two telephone booths that time . i lived there for few weeks with maldivian family.
