@lulu8lala8haha Fractal North and Lian Li Lancool 207 are the big ones right now. Montech King 95 is a well reviewed dual chamber case if that's your preference, though the Lian Li O11 models and the new Antec C8 are also quite good in that category. If your heart is set on Corsair for some reason, the 4000D and 5000D are older but pretty good.
@@lulu8lala8hahaIf you're going for absolute max performance you might have a look at the Antec Flux Pro, Fractal Torrent/North XL or the Lian Li Lancool 216 and pick the best one for your budget and preferred parts selection.
Corsair thesedays are charging premium prices for non premium products. The rot set in when they became a public company and from that moment on they had to worry more about keeping shareholders happy than they did about their customers. No corners are left uncut in their products to boost profits. It's a company I no longer consider when buying parts.
iCUE is pretty good - its well developed software that really has no match. People dont like it because its not their thing, but if you want a global control system for your PC its hard to beat. I would agree with their pricing in recent years - its getting harder to afford some of the high end corsair hardware- its often 30-50 bucks more expensive that equally good products from competitors. So I feel you often pay that extra for iCUE development from their teams.
@@iamahappybunny7640 icue is good if you want that, but it still hogs some resources in windows. which i dont like seeing. especially not for rotating colors and fan support etc. PWM is fine for me
It’s ok. It’s expensive but they have that name that carries to the mass audience who think they are better than everyone else. I think some of their products are good but always overpriced.
James, that was a thorough indepth review thank you, very good coverage on all the panels, and problems - seems overall still to be a winner, even if it is expensive.
Icue3 used to be decent but the last time I used icue4 (and that was probably 2 years ago now) it was garbage. I don’t know if the situation has improved. And on some motherboards icue didn’t out of the box detect / control Corsair’s own ddr5 ram. You first had to know that you had to go into the bios and enable the SPD Write option. Whereas Gskill and Kingston on the other hand never had any such issues.
Why would you want it to be compatible with any other manufacturer? Surely you would just use Corsair fans in a Corsair case (personally I would as I like my setups looking clean with one fan manufacture and aoi all round)
I am surprised people are complaining the hub only supports Corsair fans - its cause they use sensors and have unique design to support the hub. could run other fans without the hub I guess
I am a bit in love with Corsair iCUE and how to set up all the products in RGB perfectly and some of the fan options are class leading, would make for some great builds in this case
I noticed some issues with this and James seemed to spot most of them - I dont agree the white color clashing is an issue,. its barely noticeable, even if its a little bit ‘greener’
It’s a pretty good case for cooling and looks well. There are cheaper versions without fans and link controller. Seems ok tbh. People seem to just hate on Corsair all the time now. For little reason.
Bought the Black version of this case as well as a 4060 TI. PROS: modern day front panel I/O, lots and lots of space in the case, very good airflow, neatly designed parts of the case that make cable management more convenient. CONS: I would say the biggest problem with this case is not having a PC Speaker on the FPANEL connector. POST issues? You won't hear a thing.
Great looking build when it was finished, surprised at the chassis core flex and some missing parts, but the cooling performance is well thought out and there is a decent hardware support throughout
There isn't loads to choose from with white graphics cards, MSI has a couple Gaming X Slim etc. The Palit Gaming Pro is quite a nice looking white card too.
Great airflow case with full support for EATX cases, really recommend it to people, love mine - really impressed. the thinner panels are fine when the system is built
I went from my Corsair 600T White to this. I looked everywhere for something half as nice as a 600T and found nothing and I'm not paying 400-500 dollars for something that doesn't even look as good as a 600T so I'm joining the "aquarium" looking generation of cases. Even considered a used 780T.. but these things are 12 - 14 years old. Bring sexy back!
Loads of mesh and airflow, some good fans, looks great - shame the white colors are a little off but its not a massive eyesore, just noticeable if you point it out (I didnt until you did tbh)
is it a good idea instead or RX fans that comes with add QX fans instead? The idea is buy the case model without any fans and install the QX ones which has better rgb (on the other side, the air flow is a little weaker)
Why are Corsair letting their material quality slide so much in the last 2 years? ive noticed it. They used to make some great quality cases with thicker metals and were rigid
Its a pretty good case, I like how they give you 3 options (its 3 isnt it?) - This one is ideal for someone new to the corsair ecosystem as you get some good fans with it, but the other versions dont hurt quite so much.
Thanks for the comprehensive review James. You mentioned features you would expect to see at this price point - can you please recommend alternative cases that are better at the same price point? Thanks
The Y pattern holes is actually very useful to keep big insects from getting inside the case. Although I do love the case. And my only criticism about it is only having 2 slots for storage.
What would I be missing out on with getting the case with the fans but not with iCue controller? It looks like the colour of the fans can be controlled from ARGB port on motherboards.
Great case, I have one, I used my own fans so didnt get the icue link version or the second option, there is a bit of flex I noticed it, but once its built it is perfectly fine, dont notice it at all
Cooling support and motherboard support is good - good results in the thermal tests with this too, its a good case overall, not perfect, but good - is perfect possible anyway? people find issues
I dont know why there seems so much hate for this, the icue link hub version is the best one, you save a bit of money buying it and the fans with the case than you do with the others.
Core frame is good, its well made, the panels will always flex a bit, they would be too heavy otherwise. its more a design choice not a problem . bit hard on the product James IMO
Great and enjoyable review. I am baffled why this product exists as it is. What does it bring to the table? The hub is sold separately and will fit any other fish tank case. Most will have better quality.
I dont know why this case is getting so much hate, its actually really really good.
That's because it's probably been a while since you've seen a quality case... this is not that.

Generally i would agree, but some of the corsair range is pretty good too, you just need to be selective and not buy into the whole portfolio.
It’s ok. It’s expensive but they have that name that carries to the mass audience who think they are better than everyone else. I think some of their products are good but always overpriced.
James, that was a thorough indepth review thank you, very good coverage on all the panels, and problems - seems overall still to be a winner, even if it is expensive.
The iCue ecosystem continues to baffle me - overpriced fans which need an overpriced hub that's not compatible with any other manufacturer..

You can buy the case without the fans etc, the version James has comes with a lot of extras, but you can save money
The cheaper option of this case makes more sense to me, too much expensive addons with this version James reviewed
I appreciate the work that goes into your content James, you are always very level headed with your analysis and thoughts, like Leo is too
James was good exploring all the pros and cons. Trust his views a lot based on previous reviews. Helped me buy a great pc
Glad to be of help. 😀
Always had a reasonably good experience with Corsair over the years. Don’t have a strong opinion either way.
I like the fact it is supporting Project Zero and BTF etc.

Good mobo support with EATX support, but I dont think its enough

Thermal performance is good, I quite like the looks of. this chassis overall, looks really well made
Thats a lovely looking PC build guys - love white cases with matching components - more companies need to make white graphics cards however
Corsair really do know how to charge for things no doubt about that!
yeah next time we give u a 100$ case and u just get a 12 pack of pwm fans included right? is that good for u?
Do you want a 4090 included for less than a hundred bucks?
I like the rotating brackets, but its a shame they missed some brackets i would use myself
It should come with QX fans not RX, cause the AIOs cuelinke are QX, so then you have different fan lighting all over
I like this in white, it looks lovely when you build into it - love the support for riser GPU setup
The cable routing and eyelets are good

Some good design choices and some weird omissions which I wouldnt expect on a case this price.

I do like this case, seen some other videos on it, but the lack of removable brackets to support radiators seems insane to me in 2024
Plenty of airflow, gets my thumbs up for that alone - the mistakes arent that big a deal to me, anyway
At least they are including Link Hub and some decent RGB fans, with good hardware support for EATX

some good ideas, and it looks well, like the rotatable panels etc. but weird how they seem to omit really easy to spot stuff at times.
