    when you implement NAT on all appropriate devices, why do you only do G0/0.15 and .30 and not the others?

    hi, Pls can you explain how you got the wildcard for "access-list 1 permit 10.0.0.0

    • @SquatzMcAllister
      @SquatzMcAllister 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      The wildcard mask tells the access list what it should permit.
      The network we want to allow through is 10.0.0.0 /8, or 255.0.0.0. We want to allow any hosts on the network 10.X.X.X, but not anyone on 11.X.X.X or anything other than 10. whatever.
      So, we tell the router's access list to permit 10.0.0.0 0(because we need the 10 to be an exact match).255.255.255 (as we're letting anything though no matter what comes after the 10).
      Does that make sense? I'd suggest checking for videos on calculating the wildcard mask on here as well. It's really confusing at first but once you get it, it seems really simple.

      prob to late but it's cause it's 10.0.0.0/8 which means the subnetmask is 255.0.0.0 and wildcard masks are pretty much flipping all the bits so it turns into 0.255.255.255
