Boba, I have a theory that a major theme of The Batman Part II is going to be justice. We've already seen how organized crime has a hold on the city, but I believe this time, it’s even darker. The government isn’t just corrupted by the mob; it’s been infiltrated by an elite secret society-the Court of Owls. These powerful figures are pulling the strings from the shadows, keeping true justice out of reach. And I’m betting Harvey Dent, who’s leading Bella Reál’s new anti-corruption unit, is going to be the key player trying to bring them down while Oz tries to waddle his way into power through the Court even though he will just end up as a pawn like with Falcone. P.S. did you see how the drapes in the court room behind Oz formed the silhouette of an OWL?! Can’t wait to see how it all unfolds!
Thought I’d paste my comment here: WHAT. A. SHOW! I haven't commented on this channel in a while (have been following your channel for a long time now and gratefully so) but I have INDEED been joining you on this thrilling journey of Oz and Sophia. TRULY... a masterpiece! 9/10. Had Julian’s character been given more substance (not critiquing his one dimensional character work because that’s not necessarily bad, and it’d be unfair to do considering more could be done with him in The Batman 2 for instance or another project), I would've given it a 10/10. He kind of just came across as simpish (as a simp). At the start he was interesting, as we could tell there was more to him, but then he just felt like he was there just to help Sophia. Felt like a downgrade, but I still enjoyed his role nonetheless.
He legitimately looked like a demon spawn at the end when he strangled Vik. He looked like the demons in The Passion of The Christ. Pure evil, like his mom said he’s the devil
God damn. I knew Oz would be a villain but i didnt think he could get worse than last episode. Putting Sophia back in Arkham, forcing his mother to stay with him and his disillusion, and killing Vic! He is such a monster and i really hope batman gives him what he deserves in the future. This was such a great show, thank you so much for covering it Boba!
There's been many but no doubt this is the best villain TV show we've seen in DC and Marvel. Joker deserves a TV show too. I think one season is a perfect ending. Do too many seasons and it goes downhill like in Joker 2.
May the long wait for The Batman 2 and the endless theories continue. It'll be worth it. In regards to The Batman 2, Colin Farrell did say that he's got 5 or 6 scenes in the movie and also said that he's signed on for a third movie. Given that Oz is getting into City Hall and Bella Real has set up an anti-corruption task force (hopefully lead by Harvey Dent), I think the villains of the sequel could be either Hush with the Edward Elliot scandal, the Court of Owls or perhaps a mixture of both with Hush leading into the Court of Owls. Between The Batman, The Penguin and The Batman 2, they all take place relatively close to each other and are still dealing with the very few corrupt figures of Gotham. Without making the audience feeling tired of another corruption storyline, this one could just as if not more exciting. I don't know, but its just something very interesting to think about.
Last night I watched the finale and just I’m lost for words. This show has to be the best show that I’ve seen by far of a villain. Collin Farrell has done an amazing role as the penguin, and now that he’s the kingpin of Gotham, I can’t wait to see the Batman go up against the penguin in the Batman part 2. Thank you Matt Reeves for making this show happen 👏🏾
This show has elevated 🐧 from a B list villain to A list. Oz was never a great foil for Batman as he's not physically imposing and carries an ☔ so hardly intimidating material. But this show really dove into the psychology and cunning of Oz.
@@jonfreeman9682right. I feel like after seeing his dark hidden backstory and what a backstabbing prick he really is, it finally feels like he has risen to his Batman villian rogues gallery potential.
In all seriousness, yeah, it was a tough scene to watch. Victor did so much for Oz, saving him from potential death and caring for his mother. I will be interested to see if Victor's death will be mentioned in some capacity in The Batman 2. Perhaps Batman has one interaction with Penguin when he's eventually locked up, going over the list of people he's killed, including Vic. When Vic's name is uttered by Batman, a faint sliver of sadness is seen on his face.
Could y'all IMAGINE the opening of The Batman Part 2?!?!?!? Batman crashes a party at Penguin's new penthouse, fight action sequence, maybe upgrades to the new suit? GAWWLEEEEEE I'd lose my mind. What a show man.
I can not give this show the credit it deserves! This, this was Gotham in its best adaptation. I genuinely can't fathom people not falling in live with Reeve's vision. I've been getting so sick of sympathetic villains. Let a villain be a villain!!! This was perfect. It reminds us all why the Penguin holds a candle (or an umbrella) to the other Rogues Gallery members. I'm so happy at the end of the day, he was evil, he was thriving, and the king of Gothams crime. Just in time for Batman to bring his empire crumbling down!!! I'm so thankful to Matt Reeves for bringing this to life!

Gutted! The moment he gave Victor that drink .... gd I knew it ...the visceral heartache of his mom with the then disgust of eve and him dancing . What a finale what a character piece. 👏 ❤
This show did put on a clinic. No doubt about it. But on the personal I can't keep watching these shows feeling gutted at the end seeing the worst that society has to offer always winning in the end.
It’s like we’re living a dream honestly. The quality of the Batman content we have gotten and will surely continue to get for a few more years is just nuts man. What an incredible show. What an incredible villain origin story in this world of the bat
The moment he started choking Vic, all of the empathy or sympathy towards Oz was gone. He was no longer the underdog you begrudgingly rooted for. It was so perfectly executed as a character moment.
They've got plans for a Joker TV show but I'm not too keen on that as they've already done two movies. Batman has alot of villains they should explore like two face, man bat 🦇 and killer Croc. There's so many villains worth exploring besides the usual Joker. Clay face, black mask, Deadshot, mad Hatter are not well known but they all have interesting stories.
I actually laughed for most of the ending. I was just so happy they acutally went there with Oz' final villain transformation. Killing vic, giving his mom an empty, cold penthouse apartment she cant enjoy and Oz dancing with Eve cosplaying as Francis. It was delightfully twisted and evil and i loved it. Thank you to the showrunners for finally giving us a true villain who isnt redeemable or misunderstood. Jist a straight up monster who will do anything to get what he wants. That face he made after killing Vic is probably one of the best pieces of acting i have ever seen out of Colin Farrell. That was truly the single most evil and chilling expression i have seen. It almost reminded me of the devil in The Wailing as he takes pictures and becomes more and more inhuman to look at. It gave me that same emotion in my gut. Fantastic acting, prostetics, lighting and directing. Bravo.
It looked like he was fighting back tears, too. You could see his watery eyes. That's all the justification he needed to kill Victor. Can't have any weaknesses.
Although I saw the episode last night, watching this review really made me reflect on Vic's last scene. His companionship with Oz started with them sitting down, having a heart to heart in the morning. It ended with them having a heart to heart while sitting together at night. Vic died like his family. Slowly gasping for air painfully...
The song that plays in the car while Penguin drives with Sofia is the same song from Gotham which Carmine Falcones says his mother used to sing to him as a child, when he meets the woman planted by Fish Mooney to get Carmine to care about her.
Just finished the season and just wow! Here are some things that I like about the show. 1. World building of Gotham: when I watched The Batman I was a little unsure of how I felt about this version of Gotham. It wasn’t my favorite. But now that we got some backstory about the crime families and gangs I really like this version of Gotham city. And Arkham asylum was just how I wanted it to be. 2. Oz finally becoming the king of Gotham. So as you know we were rooting for oz for most of the series. But I loved that we got some backstory about him and his mother’s relationship. And when the secret was revealed about oz killing his brother totally changed my opinion on him. And him killing victor too. The made me almost forget he was the bad guy until I realized he was a total prick all along. The final scene where he was in his classic penguin outfit also reminded me of the Arkham series penguin. And I feel like this is the vibe where this world is going. 3: No Batman: I’m actually really glad there was no Batman in this series. I was a little unsure about watching the show because Batman wasn’t in it. But I realize that was a smart decision by the people behind the scenes. The story felt real focused on the villian and made me like it even more for it.
That finale was twisted af. Oz is an absolute irredeemable POS, from childhood on. The scene of Sofia torching the Falcone home to "Where Did You Sleep Last Night" was phenomenal. Even though it was a cover too, it made me think of Nirvana's Unplugged performance. All the gang underlings killing the Dons was another "OMG" moment. I also caught the drapes in the City Hall courthouse, shaped like Owls. And finally, Victor... Fuck you, Oz. As soon as he said, "You're family to me", I knew that was it for him. I hope the tone of the show is continued into the next film. It *must* be.
Finding out his mom - knew wtf!? Finding out all gang leaders were killed by 2nd in charge - WTF!!? Killing VIC - WTF!? Eve dressed as his Mom - WT ACTUAL F!!!!??? Great Finale 🎉
What's the deal with second killing his boss? They didn't explain that. Also killing Vic is serious bad assery. Vic is the guy who saved him twice and carried him thru so many tight spots so makes no sense. Now Oz has no ally.
@@jonfreeman9682the gangs that were shown in the penguin finale have now all been taken over by the deputy’s who are loyal to the penguin; they are his allies.
Me and The Devil by Gil Scott-Heron tried to warn us at the end of episode 3. The song explores themes of companionship and temptation with evil, and the consequences of one's actions. It portrays a conflicted character seeking gratification and experiencing the repercussions of dealing with a sinister force. Need Part 2 to open with Batman beating up Penguin.
When you realize Oz, the Penguin suffered from severe Oedipus complex…which drove his every move in life. Now his mother is forever suffering from the love of her son. An ironical prison 😢🐧🎩
Nah this finale was crazy HE REALLY DID MY BOY VIC LIKE THAT?!? AFTER THE 2 SITUATIONS (technically 3 if think about the guy Vic shot and how that would have escalated if he actually led the guy back to base) WHERE VIC SAVED HIS ASS Situations where he was mere moments away from being put in a pack😭😭😭
Agree with you whole heart. Man this ending was all kinds of wrong. Great writing, but wrong decisions. I don't even want to see a Penguin 2 after this. Matter of fact I want Penguin to meet Mephisto.
The women's wing and the men's wing are separated in this version of arkham. During the flashback there were no men so sofia wont be interacting with the riddler or joker.
I have so much to say. But boba pretty much summed it up. What a episode. What a series. I was actually pulling for oz right up until that gut punching moment with vic…. Holy shit….
Brother i hope Matt Revees gives you the props you deserve. You been loyal to this universe since they announced Matt Reeves will be directing a new batman movies. 💯
His face when he strangled Vic at the end of a Oni. Vic sealed his fate when he said “family”. I don’t think Oz was going to kill him if he wouldn’t have said that
Did anyone else notice how when Oz was in the courtroom, the drapes on the wall formed silhouettes of OWLS....I really think that The Court of Owls might be where we are heading!
Not to get political, but a thought worth noting...I could totally see Matt Reeves taking inspiration from recent US events with the stacked and corrupt Supreme Court.
@@TonyTKN8 I bet you one of the main themes of The Batman Part II will be justice...or the lack there of. Harvey Dent will play a big roll as well as Oz.
I think it was pretty much obvious for me that Vic would die. I mean Oz manipulated him from the very beginning and treated all the people who could possible care about him (like his mom and his girlfriend) pretty badly. He is totally incapable of love. So Vic's death is not that surprising.
@@sillylittlesheepjax6009 , well Oz is the reason why Vic got involved in the criminal activity; he made him sell drugs and abandon his girlfriend; he made him think that it is okay to kill a person, that being with him is the only way for Vic to survive in this world and get a chance. Perhaps he felt something towards him, yeah, but in my opinion most of the time he just used him for his own purposes and could have abandoned or killed him at any time. After it was revealed that Oz killed his brothers, I had no doubt that he only cares about himself and that the Penguin doesn't feel loyal towards anyone. About Eve...he didn't tell her the truth about Falcone. And about his mom...well, he killed her sons and pretended that everything is okay, and persuaded her into this mindset. She also asked him to kill her, but he decided to keep her in this vegetative state - perhaps because he wants to torture her or just doesn't really care about her. He didn't even want to tell her the truth about his brothers when she was in danger and ready to lose her finger, and in my opinion he always wanted to look good in her eyes, to feel that she is proud of him, but never really loved her the way a normal person would do.
@ljpanther23 I actually love the ending. Yhea it sucks that Vic died, I really liked the character. But Oz is a villain and doesn't need a good side to him. This ending made him really unlikeable and thats good. That's the Penguin
I really went into it hoping it wouldn’t happen….after seeing it go down, we couldn’t of had something so scary, so shocking, something that shows off so much about Oswald, without it happening. This ending is the best possible ending because Oswald comes off as a Batman villain more akin to characters like Mad Hatter with his psyche, but with the power he now has.
I saw someone suggest that maybe Penguin’s meeting with the councilman and him being warned about Bella real’s anti corruption task force could result in HIM forming the court of owls, since if they existed in the first film wouldn’t riddler have uncovered it? A way to avoid treading similar ground would be to have penguin form the court of owls to enable the city’s freaks and criminals to thrive. It would also mirror Falcone from the first film while being a more theatrical escalation, showing the city has been replaced by someone worse.
I took the scene where his mom shed a tear and he said it was everything she ever wanted, as cruel punishment for her after she told him she hated him and I think she is mentally aware but physically incapacitated. He knows that she doesn’t want to live, and he also knows that she said she used him all these years to get what she wanted. Now she can live with those consequences. Man, it’s super dark and cruel. I was afraid I would like Iz and want to root for him after this series, but, there is no risk of that happening now. What a great, twisted show.
27:00 Aren't there 2 seperate messhalls and stuff so the men and women dont cross? Like seperate sections, we saw that in the flashback too if I'm not mistaken
To answer a few things for you. 1. The keys. Simply the detective was the get away driver and as we have seen multiple times in this show and others they often leave the keys in the car to allow for a quick escape. 2. The crime groups not causing a riot. In a case like that the people would have no idea who is on which side. So it could very likely lead to instant death if you try to fight it, so instead everyone just goes along with it. 3. Francis. Yes she can be conscious during a vegetative state. It happens, although rare.
i absolutely LOVED this series from start to finish! i knew i would because i trust matt reeves with this world. my jaw was on the floor at that ending.. oz’s face as he ended vic’s life will be haunting me tonight 🫣 colin farrell brought everything he could to this role, he masterfully played penguin as the deluded psychopath that he is and snuffed all sympathy anyone could have for him out and i can’t wait for the bat to take him down 🦇 🦇🦇
Another gross thing about his face after killing Vic was how he was saying it's not for nothing. As in, your life was here to serve me and my ambitions.
Francis was definitely aware of what was happening, she couldn’t communicate but she was aware… and I think Oz keeping her in that penthouse was, whether conscious or subconsciously, taking a form of revenge on her for hating him.
I love how at the end of the episode Oz says how no one is no longer in his way and as the camera pans out we see the bat signal light up. Batman will protect Gotham!! 🦇
Episode 6: Vic people are going to tell stories about us! Our names will be remembered! Episode 8: strangled and ID is thrown in the river to die as a John Doe in Crown Point 😭 The same river water that took both of their families btw, Oz's brothers and Vic's parents.
What a damn good finale for a damn good show... I would love for Harvey to be introduced in The Batman part 2 and maybe have a Two-face show after about Harvey taking down The Penguin and at the end Penguin might throw acid in Harvey's face while on trial for the things he did here in the Penguin show.
And maybe going into the Batman part 3 Two-face would be one of the villains (assuming there will only be three movies). After what we learn in The Penguin finale I think it'd be silly to not introduce Harvey Dent
I personally like Oz better than riddler so far. Feel like that kinda Riddler look weaker at the end of the movie with the whole “incel” angle. 80% of the movie though.. he’s a beast but i feel like toward the end they made him look less threatening. Still a great villain nonetheless
Its like in the beggining he had the facade of a piece of shit while being a pretty decent kinda psychopath By the end hes fully a monster while looking clean
I thought he was going to pick up an umbrella, mention something about a storm coming, reveal a lever that projects a knife out of the tip, and stab her...in my head it was BADASS!!!
I like how it was basically vic that actually united the gangs and when Oz did it everything seemingly just broke down, because vic actually ment what he said, I think vic is or would have become in a way the type of "gangster " who actually is liked and respect because even tho he's not doing good shit he'd know when to actually try to help people
I think it would be awesome if killer croc is in one of the upcoming movies from the Arkham games not the weird looking version from suicide squad movie.
They had to kill him because he's not in the batman sequel. So it was not an artistic decision. They just had to do it which makes it worse. Terrible writing for most of the episodes.
La Couronne. The illuminated letters are LA CRON. In Linux a cron is a daemon, which is an unattended program that runs continuously in the background and the Linux logo is a penguin.
Boba and Fam, My biggest apologies for missing your video and Lives. I've been very busy and hustling LOL. But, all in all I'd try to keep my eyes out as much as I can and Glad the watch this video as well as finishing the "The Penguin" which an "Art House" is of a show. :)
Something we could factor into The Batman 2 discussion series is that Colin Farrell said he has 5 or 6 scenes in the movie, and he's signed on for a third movie. Provided that the sequel does really well, which I'm sure it will, Oz could is the kingpin of the underworld and is probably going to be like Carmine Falcone in the first movie where he was hidden behind the scenes. Given that Bella Real has started up the task force to weed out corruption, I would love for Harvey Dent to be the head of that and perhaps most likely, Oz is the one who throws the acid into Harvey's face. Oz had a role in the first movie that tied into the Riddler and Falcone, so Penguin's role, regardless of how big or small it is, will undoubtedly have some sort of tie into the main story/villains(s) given his recent status in power and the connections he'll have.
Man what a show! Couple things to note as it’s over now. The curtains in the court room look like a little Easter egg to the court of owls who can see on the future. That isn’t done for no reason. Also that bat symbol at the end was used to show that Batman is still out there to stop the penguin if needed but more importantly Batman could already be dealing with the new villain for the next movie and could’ve been doing so throughout the whole show hence his absence. Finally the actor for Vic when talking about the scene where Oz strangled him, he said “Being on set that day, everyone felt sullen. There was a darkness in the air, there was a hush." Another mention of Hush…

Notice how it takes 2 years between each project that’s what happens when you take your time
Such a good finale
The moment he started choking Vic, all of the empathy or sympathy towards Oz was gone. He was no longer the underdog you begrudgingly rooted for. It was so perfectly executed as a character moment.

1. The Batman (2022)
2. The Penguin (2024)
I'm kinda hoping another spinoff show comes out before the batman part 2
@@ultron_sigmame too
They've got plans for a Joker TV show but I'm not too keen on that as they've already done two movies. Batman has alot of villains they should explore like two face, man bat 🦇 and killer Croc. There's so many villains worth exploring besides the usual Joker. Clay face, black mask, Deadshot, mad Hatter are not well known but they all have interesting stories.
This show was a 10/10. Glad they kept Penguin a monster of a villain.
Vic could've been chilling with his girl on a beach somewhere right now if he just got on the DAMN BUS
@@pianist150 😭😭
@@pianist150 I hope she comes looking for Vic in the Batman sequel and be the reason for Oz’s demise
@@MattyCamachioItd be better if Batman catches him from his prints on Vic’s wallet.

“Councilman Oz.” 🐧
Bravo.
CF said that he hated filming the scene.
Yea Calvin got it easy, then they jacked his apartment
I defended Oz playfully but I was absolutely disgusted by him watching this episode.
No way!!! there’s owls. I’m even more excited for Batman 2
Why does everyone keep saying that? Like Batman knew what Oz was doing and what he did to everyone.
When you realize Oz, the Penguin suffered from severe Oedipus complex…which drove his every move in life.
Now his mother is forever suffering from the love of her son. An ironical prison 😢🐧🎩
Masterpiece! 10/10! The BEST TV series I've ever seen. We're definitely getting a "Mayor Oz" storyline in The Batman 2.
I booted up Arkham Knight and went to work after this episode
Man I really hope Matt Reeves version of the joker is similar to the Arkham knight joker. That’s my favorite version
Nah this finale was crazy
HE REALLY DID MY BOY VIC LIKE THAT?!?
AFTER THE 2 SITUATIONS (technically 3 if think about the guy Vic shot and how that would have escalated if he actually led the guy back to base) WHERE VIC SAVED HIS ASS
Situations where he was mere moments away from being put in a pack😭😭😭
Agree with you whole heart. Man this ending was all kinds of wrong. Great writing, but wrong decisions. I don't even want to see a Penguin 2 after this. Matter of fact I want Penguin to meet Mephisto.
Calvin was big foreshadowing tho
The women's wing and the men's wing are separated in this version of arkham. During the flashback there were no men so sofia wont be interacting with the riddler or joker.
I have so much to say. But boba pretty much summed it up.
What a episode. What a series.
I was actually pulling for oz right up until that gut punching moment with vic…. Holy shit….
Same I think it was brilliant for the show to make him a true villain. By the end of that episode I think everyone has pretty much turned on Oz

As much as I loved the Penguin series. The moment I saw the Bat signal, I was so fired up for The Batman 2. 🦇🦇🦇
Colin Farrell said he have five or six scene in the batman 2
Im still laughing hysterically at everyone going “Zic omg hes victor Zsasz”
Now those same people are going "Vic could actually still be alive"
I do hope they wait and let Robin be the key to taking Penguin down. That would be poetic justice for Vic. RIP Vic, you were a good soldier. 😢
Im baffled, overwhelemed, amazed, terrified, excited and angry that finale was insanely good, so meticulous and im so hyped for bats 2
Did anyone else notice how when Oz was in the courtroom, the drapes on the wall formed silhouettes of OWLS....I really think that The Court of Owls might be where we are heading!
Yep!
I had a feeling court of owls will play a major part in the next movie, and I hope we finally get to see that 🤞
Not to get political, but a thought worth noting...I could totally see Matt Reeves taking inspiration from recent US events with the stacked and corrupt Supreme Court.
@@TonyTKN8 I bet you one of the main themes of The Batman Part II will be justice...or the lack there of. Harvey Dent will play a big roll as well as Oz.
@filmbyobryan Plus we're getting a snowy Gotham. Next movie is gonna be PEAK
@@TonyTKN8ABSOLUTE CINEMA. Not even Scorsese himself could deny it.
I cried like a baby through this finale epically the scenes with oz and the mom awesome show!
I think it was pretty much obvious for me that Vic would die. I mean Oz manipulated him from the very beginning and treated all the people who could possible care about him (like his mom and his girlfriend) pretty badly. He is totally incapable of love. So Vic's death is not that surprising.
he didnt treat vic badly at all same with eve or his mom
I absolutely love your analysis!! The details you bring out are great!! Thank you!!!
Thanks for this series Boba! Looked forward to your reviews over the last 8 weeks after each episode
I just finished the episode and was not expecting that at all.. Ive never been so pissed at a dude that doesnt exist
Me either. Best comic book live action I've ever seen. That had the most disappointing ending I've ever seen.
@ljpanther23 I actually love the ending. Yhea it sucks that Vic died, I really liked the character. But Oz is a villain and doesn't need a good side to him. This ending made him really unlikeable and thats good. That's the Penguin
@@diogobarao9992it’ll make it even better when Batman kicks the shit out of him too
I really went into it hoping it wouldn’t happen….after seeing it go down, we couldn’t of had something so scary, so shocking, something that shows off so much about Oswald, without it happening. This ending is the best possible ending because Oswald comes off as a Batman villain more akin to characters like Mad Hatter with his psyche, but with the power he now has.
Oz and Eve in this episode reminded me of Homelander and the shapeshifter guy from the boys…
Great episode, but sad to see Vic get killed 😯
Calvin got it easy , then they jacked apartment too
@@Avatard101I dont remember this, who is Calvin, what happened
27:00 Aren't there 2 seperate messhalls and stuff so the men and women dont cross? Like seperate sections, we saw that in the flashback too if I'm not mistaken
This is true - totally forgot!
8 whole episodes and not a single person outside of Sofia directly addresses Julian
The other doctor did
i absolutely LOVED this series from start to finish! i knew i would because i trust matt reeves with this world. my jaw was on the floor at that ending.. oz’s face as he ended vic’s life will be haunting me tonight 🫣 colin farrell brought everything he could to this role, he masterfully played penguin as the deluded psychopath that he is and snuffed all sympathy anyone could have for him out and i can’t wait for the bat to take him down 🦇 🦇🦇
Everything that was built up for Oz disappeared instantly in one episode.
@@ljpanther23all the times we felt for him just vanished and turned into anger
The face Oz made when he killed Vic reminded me of Jack from the shining. Which is fitting because they were both beyond saving at that point.
Oz is miserable right now, he did all that dirt for his mom, just for her to hate him
Another gross thing about his face after killing Vic was how he was saying it's not for nothing. As in, your life was here to serve me and my ambitions.
One thing. I’m convinced Julian going back to Arkham is him taking advantage of the power he once again holds over her.
10:38 boba I think that car was the detectives who probably left it running or something
Selina returns is confirmed for the Batman 2. And another Riddler shown. Oz made Sofia life a living hell.
Well duh. As if we didn't know that Selena was gonna be in part 2 😂😂😂😂
My jaw dropped along with my heart when oz did what he did 😔but I’m with you I felt like it was about to get bad when vik said you are like family
24:15 Gives me Scarecrow vibes for several reasons, but many say Mad Hatter. I quite enjoy trying to guess if he will be more relevant.
Francis was definitely aware of what was happening, she couldn’t communicate but she was aware… and I think Oz keeping her in that penthouse was, whether conscious or subconsciously, taking a form of revenge on her for hating him.
That ending was messed up dark wow
I love how at the end of the episode Oz says how no one is no longer in his way and as the camera pans out we see the bat signal light up. Batman will protect Gotham!! 🦇
The fact "The Cure" "A Forest" appeared in this show made it even 50 times better what a moment...
I was low key so mad when he killed victor but I’m excited to see what happens next with the penguin
Loved the touch of the top hat, tuxedo and long black coat....base penguin.
I legit thought that I was the only one that saw a physical difference in how he looked at the end of this episode
Episode 6: Vic people are going to tell stories about us! Our names will be remembered!
Episode 8: strangled and ID is thrown in the river to die as a John Doe in Crown Point 😭
The same river water that took both of their families btw, Oz's brothers and Vic's parents.
This was a really good show. I am absolutely grateful they kept oz as an evil and psychopathic monster
the borderline inc3$t was crazy! like i watched the episode 3 hours ago and my mouth is still open...
what incest?
What a damn good finale for a damn good show...
I would love for Harvey to be introduced in The Batman part 2 and maybe have a Two-face show after about Harvey taking down The Penguin and at the end Penguin might throw acid in Harvey's face while on trial for the things he did here in the Penguin show.
And maybe going into the Batman part 3 Two-face would be one of the villains (assuming there will only be three movies). After what we learn in The Penguin finale I think it'd be silly to not introduce Harvey Dent
Great show

I personally like Oz better than riddler so far. Feel like that kinda Riddler look weaker at the end of the movie with the whole “incel” angle. 80% of the movie though.. he’s a beast but i feel like toward the end they made him look less threatening. Still a great villain nonetheless
Oz is 10x more interesting than the riddler lmfao.
To each their own but the Riddler is at the bottom of the list for me. Maybe better than Carmine but way below the two villains from this show.
Its like in the beggining he had the facade of a piece of shit while being a pretty decent kinda psychopath
By the end hes fully a monster while looking clean
Btw. I really thought OZ was gunna kill eve here. I thought he would find out she ratted him out to sofia….
🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️
I did too. I thought he was dancing her toward the window to throw her threw it😮
I thought he was going to pick up an umbrella, mention something about a storm coming, reveal a lever that projects a knife out of the tip, and stab her...in my head it was BADASS!!!
Loved this series.
This episode was awesome. I was really hoping that Vic would have made it
They had to kill him because he's not in the batman sequel.

when Francis said something like. "i had enough to give all 3 of you boys" was wild
Colin has said he's in 5-6 scenes in B2, there's a good few interviews that mention it
Vic’s stutter… the way he would freeze mid sentence… I halfway expected him to become “Victor Freeze”
This was such a layered finale! One thing I noticed was the way Oz is keeping his mother on life support is kind of dark take on Mr. Freeze and Nora.
WHAT. A.
He kind of just came across simpish (a simp). At the start he was interesting, as we could tell there was more to him, but then he just felt like he was there just to help Sophia. Felt like a downgrade, but I still enjoyed his role nonetheless.
Batman needs to reconsider his no kill no gun rule......
