It wasn't that Depp was a great person, but that Amber was such a terrible person, and her irrational behavior on the stand, the looking at the jury obsessively, the fake crying, the overacting of obvious lies, and the absolutely bizarre personality disorder she exhibited would be her downfall. Thus making johnny get so much empathy for this, that completely backfired on her

Meh... Dayne Wennison is the best of the 5 statistically speaking. As assistant DA she put the last of the remaining administration of 4 of 5 Mafia families away, and the lowest sentence years wise was 28 years for John "handyman" makaviti. He then joined bruger, barris, and baron and immediately defended Bruno "bagel burger" Amburgi in a crazy Mafia, wall street, prison gang Trifecta in which elements who worked within each organization were able to basically run a massive fraud involving certain items for sale in prisons and jails around the US. She gained an acquittal for Amburgi and he was only 1 of 58 co conspirators who beat his case. He went on to win several "un winnable" civil and criminal cases.

@@Martin-sp4zf Committing a crime doesn't have automatic consequences. A prosecutor has to choose to pursue it, and perjury is more often not worth the time and effort when it's not independently relevant. The trial already proved lies were told as libel can already be considered related. To pursue it here, would require the state's attorneys office to open a new case, which would rightly be a waste of resources, when there are more important cases to pursue. Remember this was a civil trial not a criminal prosecution. The legal system is real, and while we'd like every crime to be fully prosecuted, time is a finite resource and I'm sure the public would not be happy if the state's attorneys office was pursuing Amber Heard instead of more important matters with public relevance. Especially, since justice was already served here.

I said she was a liar years ago when this happen when I knew she got a TRO 6 days later and Johnny wasn’t even in the country and the next day she was smiling with rocky and no marks on her face. She already started dating Elon musk. What abused woman, has another millionaire man waiting for them the minute the marriage is over. It didn’t make sense and I saw all the elevator videos and the texts about James Franco, she was banging him too. Then the cabinet video, when he doesn’t even touch her once in that video and again what abused woman would run downstairs to video tape their abuser mad in the kitchen, they would have been scared and we would have seen Johnny go after her. He didn’t even talk to her at first, even when she tried to use that fake baby voice. That video didn’t seem right. Then I said watch she doesn’t donate that 7 million and people were like no she will and I said ok let’s see because I knew all she wanted was the money.

Johnny definitely has the “dream team” of lawyers. He did it by telling the truth. The truth you don’t forget when such horrible things happen but the lies told to such an enormous extent are very hard to keep up with. The stair case story told by 3 of the 3 people involved were all different stories including the 2 who were on the same team but couldn’t get the same events anywhere near the the same. Lies eventually catch up to those who tell them on this magnitude. So happy Johnny won this because he (nor anyone else) deserves to have their life and character destroyed by so many horrendous falsities. Especially someone like Johnny who has done so many wonderful things for so many others and never made a big deal about them nor sought recognition for them.

I can empathize with your childhood. I, too, had such a mother. In our family, she would nag, berate, belittle, and abuse my father until he broke resulting in him beating her. She would then run through the neighborhood crying abuse. She loved the "fight," and resulting chaos and drama. She found destroying those around her a form of entertainment. I, too, had to get away and never contact her again. I had to, I did not enjoy the fight.

The difference between the Simpson case and Depp's is that the public agrees with the verdict. I only recently came across the Depp case and was rooting for the ex wife. I knew nothing about this case until I watched the trial and reviewed the evidence. It invoked strong empathy for Johnny Depp and disgust toward the narcissistic, pathological liar.
Throughout the trial, I found myself laughing, too. Johnny himself couldn't help laughing. *The situation was so ludicrous, it should never have seen the inside of a courtroom.* When Doc Brown testified for the defense, I nearly coughed up a lung laughing. People like him were the only "professionals" the actual abuser could dig up to testify on her behalf, whereas everyone came to Johnny's defense. After reviewing the evidence and seeing what the manipulative sadist was like in person, competent professionals avoided her like the plague. As a result, hilarity ensued.
When Johnny promised "worldwide humiliation," it wasn't a threat; it was a warning his ex-wife should have heeded. She still doesn't get it and continues to sabotage her own life.

"A comedian, an artist, very talented, and a true wordsmith".
Ya know, sometimes when a sibling reaches the level of professional success that Ben Chew has, it can create friction between siblings, especially if the other sibling goes in the creative arts direction. It's a bit more abstract to measure success.
I am in the arts. Successful to me is keeping the lights on and food on the table, while doing something that fills my soul.

I still really really really want to know why the Australia audio recording was not allowed and not played in the VA trial. Was it because the main voice on the recording was Jerry Judge and he was deceased so there were additional rules or was it because it was (perhaps illegally) recorded by Heard in another country's jurisdiction? I have asked so many people including trial attorneys and no one can tell me why that recording wasn't heard by the jury. You hear that recording and you know 100% that Heard cut Depp's finger off and yet the recording was tossed and they then had expert witnesses arguing about the finger injury when the answer was clear on tape that she threw the bottle. Does anyone know why?

It wasn’t permitted because it contained the voices of people who have since died, therefore it is hearsay because that person couldn’t be deposed and couldn’t come in to sit on the witness stand and testify to what they saw themselves. Typically, the recordings you do hear in the trial are just Johnny and Amber because they can testify as to what they said.

Issac (Johnny's witness) stated that he saw Whitney punch Amber in the face and Whitney and Amber laughed about it, sounded like a set up to me.
