Not at all. Kensou is one of my favourites, actually. But again, you're missing my main point, which is that only a handful of KoF characters rely on projectiles. By contrast, Street Fighter is infamous for projectile spam, even in high level play.

I think it's sad that player 1 is constantly using nothing but the same trio of top-tier characters and player 2 is using nothing but roulette, and player 2 is schooling player 1. That 5th match where Dakou used Benimaru to just DESTROY his opponent in an effortless straight struck me as Dakou saying "I'm sick of your shit, here's what I think of one-trick ponies". It was like he was just playing around with him up to then and got tired of it.
