I was fortunate enough just see this gentle giant back in the early 90s, I even got a CD autograph by him, link the title track was "working is the curse of the drinking classes" I was surprised by how big Mike Griffin was, he was a huge man, he kind of dwarfed the size of his guitar, until he started playing it, the sounds he pulled out of that guitar was as big he was, awesome, friendly, man, he was more than happy to stop and chat with his fans, he seemed genuinely thankful and somewhat overwhelmed by the crowd who entered a room backstage just to meet him, Mike Griffin gained a fan for life that night in Nashville Tennessee, 🎼🎵🎶🎸🎙💯

Really appreciate all the background info on Big Mike Giffin, I had never heard of him and did not have high expectations, how wrong could I be. Superb guitar playing, a bit like Albert Lee. The song builds up to a superb finish. 11 minutes of superb listening

Fantastic song and the piano accompl. is one of the finest. Blues takes you down for the night and some tunes bring energy for the day but this one is good anytime for the jazzy essence. 💙 RGM
