    Super cool! My daughter introduced me to the Netflix specials in the last few weeks (just awesome) and now this. I have suddenly become a big Middleditch fan. Thanks for doing this.

    Amazing seeing how both their faces light up. Flying is a really special privilege.

    Whoa! I didn't even think of those downdrafts in Monument Valley!! I was drooling over that airport when I saw it, then watched planes try to land & took it off my bucket list. I appreciate the IFR training comments, that's what I'm trying to do now during this COVID lockdown. Was able to fly from here (Bay Area, out of Concord) to my 83 yr old mom's (Manhattan Beach, so Torrance) door to door without a bathroom break & was so glad I had my license for that!! I did check to make sure the FBO's would let you even use a bathroom. I considered it an essential flight, she'd been isolated for months.
    I'll have to watch the show! In between my poor studying skills :) Stay safe!!

    My story.....I wanted to fly from a very early age....like 4. My uncle was chief pilot for Textron....eventually fixed and rotor ATP. In my 30's, I hada work comp back injury....my settlement gave me the money to pay for flight training, eventually earning my license. My advice is also....NEVER give up on your dream.....there's nothing better in the world when you achieve it....👍😊

    Pied Piper was a terrible name for a company, but loved the show. That Thomas is also a pilot is fantastic.

      That’s part of the joke. I mean...it’s Mike Judge.

    OMG I know that airplane. That used to spend a bunch of time on the ramp next to mine at KOSU.

    One last comment...if you're not making mistakes, you're not learning. The key is knowing your personal limits/limitations..."A mans gotta know his limitations"

    I find aviation too expensive. It's for reach people or for people who are OK with struggling financially throughout their lives to maintain the hobby. Hence why I stay on flight simulator. It's fun, convenient, and relatively inexpensive.

      I think that's unfair, being part of a flying club or a partnership makes it much more affordable.

      If you make 50k per year, which is nowhere near rich, you could easily budget to fly once a week.

    • @dylconnaway9976
      @dylconnaway9976 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @S J Well, you have to have a 4 year degree if you want to fly for the majors. But, you will eventually get paid as well as a doctor without the extra 6 years of school.

      @@BobbyGeneric145 That completely depends upon a person’s situation... If you’re living with mom, sure. If you have a mortgage, car payments, and children... no.
