I was going to comment on her hair too! It's just lovely in this video
I was going to comment this too! She looks beaut in this vid

The big colorful painting would be worth trying in an entryway I think. It would be a statement for sure! Bathroom-moisture is an issue for art in the bath. That should be taken into consideration esp if a bundle was spent on it. I am assuming its a large painting but cant tell really
An acrylic frame would be the best for this colorful artwork! Lighten it up 😊
I think it is nice for a hallway with a light over it, looks like a gallery.
@@robyncrandall7025 That's an interesting idea, like a neon yellow for example. That could actually work. And then display it somewhere where it stands out in a good way, where everything else is fairly classical.
Yes I think so too! Go all in with a crazy light, maybe some kind of mid century modern pendulum out of glass or a little sculptural
For the painting, I would hang it above something that has the same color in the painting but desaturated. The colors are super saturated so echoing the color but desaturating it could help work with it instead of against. Like, hanging above a soft yellow cabinet with black hardware.
For the big art piece: get a way bigger frame than the art piece so there’s multiple inches of framing matting between the frame and art, instead of a frame where the edges are right up against the edges of the art. When you hang it, I think this will soften the boldness of the art!
Ok. You’ve told me before that you don’t do anything to your hair but again, it’s fabulous! I had to start the video again because I didn’t hear a word of it for the first few minutes. I was too busy admiring your hair 😂
I also have the dreaded big tv wall. I found putting a big (7ft) plant next to it really helped bring dimension to the space
8:50 I think I just would put it in the wallway, alone in a wall with a light on top as you said OR if it was in the living room for example, bring a lot of wood tones and neutrals and pull that deep blue of the painting in to pillows and other small accents. If you’re leaning into a moody living room, maybe even a blue velvet curtain? 😉 From Portugal too 🇵🇹
Girl, I tried to tell you about that brown Nordic Knots rug! They got me too! 😆I love the brown rug look but every speck of dust shows up. Lesson learned.
Hm, maybe a controversial opinion, but if the couple with the bright painting have some cozy little nook they could paint a bold color pulled from the art itself (or only slightly less saturated), the painting would stop looking so daring and disjointed. Just be very precise with the color match. Then the surrounding furnishings should be rather paired down - it would look really intentional. Add a little knick-knack somewhere in the vicinity corresponding with the blues in the art and you're done ❤️
i imagined it in my head and it gave interactive museum 🥹 but i think i might have misunderstood
Paige´s hair looks amazinggg
Paige I LIVE for these videos! Thank you for actually showing the rendering- it helps articulate your vision so well
Hair looking so healthy, dang girl.
also, yes pls with the before/after compilation vid.
Love these! And so glad I signed up for your newsletter a while ago. An email I actually look forward to 🧡🌿
Talking about TV walls… my grandma had hers in a shelf. The doors were closed when the TV wasn’t used and I actually really like this. It takes away from the living room being a TV room :)
Looooove this! So many good ideas! Please make a video on Christmas decorations, I'd love to see your ideas on that!
i like the coloful painting a lot. signature art piece
Put the picture in a hallway. Its a lot of color and can energize a walk theough space, but then you arent ever just looking at it, youre always moving past it when you see it. I like paige's idea about leaning in by getting a colorful picture light and a frame.
Paige is my Sunday Night Football
Another little suggestion for the big painting...yes love the idea of a wooden frame, I would mount it on the wall and have books stacks horizontally, below with spines of similar colours from the painting mixed with natural colours - on the floor or a wooden console. I would add a light neutral fabric lamp to help it blend a bit better.
@14:49: I agree. The border definitely doesn’t matter. Get a rug immediately. 😊
15:29 Here's something I did when I was REALLY poor and about 23 years old. I had tall windows in an old apartment. I bought the blinds that people put on their deck or porch--no hardware to raise or lower them, they were from the thrift store, and they were super cheap because the end was actually dirty and discolored. I sawed the bamboo at the top and cut the dirty part off the end w garden snips. Then I cut the whole thing down the center again to make 2 narrow blinds. And finally I spray painted them black (the walls were off white). They looked pretty good for less than 10 bucks.
Thanks for this video, I don’t think this suggestion about a big painting has been made before so here you go: if you have a couch, put it on top of it, perfect if it’s across the tv this way you don’t have to look at it when you are relaxing, if that makes sense? Hallway idea I like too: quick glance and off you go;)
Loved the video and your hair looks stunning! Shiny and healthy. Kate looked beautiful. Both of you girls are pretty and so much fun! I want the best life for you both 🙏
That art piece is so cool! Would not hide it.
i always love these, they're so practical / relatable
For large art I think hanging tapestries, quilts, and blankies are good option to add texture and warmth too
Loooove the renders on this one
Your tips are so on point you really transform these spaces!
About introducing second hand furniture to someone who is scared of it: I agree with sticking to solid materials. I also suggest starting with either something really small, or something that is a really good deal, like something that costs a lot as new but can be found really affordably second hand. At least I would be easier convinced with a good deal. x)
Love these videos! Keep them coming 😊
Getting those adorable baby Bombas for my nieces baby boy. I have these socks and they are so comfortable. Thank you for the idea.
I love these types of videos so much!
YEA! watching Paige !..better than football
I feel like that painting could work in a bright space like it needs a white wall behind it and light airy feel/ more costal/surfer chic (for lack of a better term lol). I think it looked out of place next to warmer/darker colors in the background. Maybe a bright bathroom or hallway as you mentioned if that isn't their overall style preference
Love your little chats at the end of your vids! 😊
Space 1 needs a ROUND rug in tones of burgundy/amethyst w/black/gray. Paige, don't let your preconceived ideas override the logical solution - ROUND rugs are appropriate with round tables. Worst case scenario, use a SQUARE rug but not a rectangle. The rectangle cuts off the space on the right side of the table while extending the space to the left. BUT, there's nothing to the left that's part of the dining area... Keep that beautiful black table. Maybe put some amethyst/eggplant/burgundy cushions on the chair seats or replace the chairs. Definitely put art on the wall. I would opt for a large piece on the right wall because that wall isn't part of another space and would give the dining area a focal point, but smaller art on both walls would also be great.
Agreed. Round would look so good.
For a TV wall: I've put an interesting floor lamp right beside my console and hung a branch of dried eucalyptus above the TV itself! I thought the branch was an interesting way to bring in texture and to have something artistic that isn't just a piece of art that mimics the exact shape of the TV. I also have a vintage velvet armchair right beside the floor lamp again to bring in some texture, warmth, and color. Hope this helps anyone who's stuck on what to do and doesn't want a full wall unit!
Your hair looks great!
starting off strong twinning w you & sipping on a revel berry yerba mate. excited for this oneeee
This is amazing! Thank you!!!!
lovely video! giving me a lot of food for thought on a room I'm working on at the moment!
If that’s a loft space, the fridge can go just about anywhere. If they can, they should replace it with a pretty retro-style refrigerator or an actual vintage fridge. Otherwise, if they must keep the refrigerator in the kitchen, they should get a much smaller one.
Agree. Just plug it in somewhere else.
that painting? DIVORCE
Great video! And your hair looks great ❤
At this too-big-fridge-kitchen i would sugest a realy bif piece of MDF - build a wall at the side of the fridge, this is not exoensive and the kitchen is closed (i would not do a eating space there- bc the toulet ist very clse - not nice to sit and eat with friends .. hmmm ..no
I also had a beautiful chocolate brown rug. What a mistake! I got rid of it. Thanks for the puppy fix🩶🖤🤍🐾
About the tv wall units - we will be moving into a new apartment, and I have ordered almost full wall cabinets where tv fully blends inside its own rectangle and has cabinets all around it. Hopefully it helps to make the wall less “empty”.
TV wall: years ago, my husband found a dark wood hand-carved screen. Very South-east Asian, very dark, very heavy, very big. It got moved around to almost every spot in the house before finally coming to rest behind the tv. The tv itself is on a dark wood tone 2x3 cube storage unit from Target (the ones that say don’t use for a tv!), so the bottom of the screen fills in the back of the cube storage, and the top, carved part of the screen creates dark visual interest that the tv sort of vanishes against when it’s off. It’s nice. Either side of the screen we have a mismatched pair of antique barrister boxes and a ton of tchotchkes, a dark wicker armchair and an antique shoe salesman stool.
These are great! More of these!
Loved this video! Go you, Paige❤
I generally don’t like round area rugs either. In a kitchen or bathroom (and maybe a bedroom) they’re fine. 👍🏾
Can you make a video about design advice for basements? Really struggling with how to approach this in my home
Love the video and also you are literally so funny
great to agree with you in each of your advice
you mentioned one photo looked like it was in chicago. i would be curious to see a video ranking cities based on which cities has the coolest apartments or places to rent!
What have you done to your hair? Have you used curlers? It looks positively beautiful!
@5:19: The paper lantern 🏮 under the ceiling medallion looks crazy. Don’t do that. Maybe if it were hanging a couple of feet down from a rod or wire but flush with the medallion is a ‘no’. Also, it’s too small.
Just finished binge watching to death all of your videos 😍 love, love, love your style, I recently started watching Lindsay Mcdaniel's & Noah Daniel's uploads on TH-cam also who is like you having a major influence on the choices i am making in my home, who influences & inspires you currently on TH-cam, instagram & tiktok? Can you do another video on this subject please?
lol@that painting
Great, absolutely great video. Keep them coming. Can I still submit?
Will you post a link or two for the bamboo blinds you like. I keep wanting to order them but stall out. I just love your style…I’m a thrifter and live in a 90’s Mc mansion, your styling inspiration has helped a ton. ❤
Love this style of video
Side note, your hair looks really great
@8:29: If you have to ask what to do with a piece of art without providing any options as to where it might go, maybe you hate it. If you hate it, sell it or give it away. If it was a gift and you simply can’t, hang it in a closet or the garage. If it absolutely must be on display, put it in the laundry room or a guest room.
The colorful art looks like a paint-by-number.
not the horses shoutout 😩
Ok so I need thoses knot earring where are they from? :) you've had them in a few videos and I love them!
100% agreed I love em!!
hair looks gorg btw
Can you treat the tv wall like a fireplace? Book cases on both sides, a shelf above instead of a mantlepiece...it could work
❤Bobby and Santino and tigerbelly💋 bobby is the best story teller💕
yaaa whole video of afters! Also your hair looks great in this video did you switch products....
Ugly art goes in the entry way near muddy boots and messy jackets, or in the garage or a covered outdoor space that to incorporate nature with the theme...looks like the bro surfs so put it next to his "gear"
for the window treatment question: Ikea has really cheap roman blinds
Real ones miss goo 😭
7:10 say hello to your friends, honey
I love this video. How long does it take you to come up with the ideas and design?
Paige! Can u leave link and/or info for that paper lamp you keep mentioning??! The one in your office
Would you mind sharing what wood you used for your desk? My wife and I are looking to create a desk similar to yours.
This is wonderful, thank you Paige! What company on Amazon do you recommend for the bamboo blinds?
Put the art behind the front door or at the end of the hall ❤
I can't believe you're getting rid of your rug again!
ikr?? my husband would killl meeee lmao
@@blueoystercolt97the perks of being single lol
21:43 For the amount of money it cost every month in rent. It's not worth it. You spend alot of money when the unit (apartment) is not equivalent to the cost of building the unit. A 2X4 only cost no more than $5.00 in the USA. I can build a room (cabin) this size under $1,000.00. And be rent free in a remote area.
But do you own the land where you'll build your cabin? In the US you can't just plonk a cabin in the middle of nowhere. Owning is always better, but a lot more goes into a functioning home than 2 x 4's.
Why not a round rug?
where do you always find such amazing art for the mockups? are they from etsy? and if so, what do you type in? :)
I need to know if Kate does her own matting or if she has a professional do it. Idk if it’s worth it to pay someone to do it or if I can diy it without it looking like shit?
There are quite expensive matting cutters on amazon. I might give these ones a try. If it sucks, I can still return it.
I had some white mats that had gone discoloured with age. I just got a paint sample pot in a really dark matte green and painted them, and they came out great! Just use the brush flat near the mitred edge ( the bit immediately next to the picture) so that stays white,as it would be if your mat was made from dark green mountboard.
stop I miss the goon-
Could anyone help me identify the large painting suggested for the wall in the first room?
18:13 what is this pendant light? I love it!
found it using google lens, it's vintage 50's "vinyl shade on brass wire frame" designed by bruno munari
On my stream!
This might sound like a crazy idea, but hear me out: rotate the fridge 90 degrees so it opens out into the living space. Put a little worksurface behind the fridge (possibly cover up the behind with a perforated grate so you don't see the fridge workings but still lets the heat out). Then a kitchen island or round table in the entrance of the kitchen to close off the area and to make it less weird that the fridge opens into the living space. Voila, you've just made the kitchen larger and more open. Could still apply art to the front of the fridge and perhaps an IVAR shelving system to create storage above it and bringing warmth from the pine
I like to cook so this makes sense for me personally - I'd sacrifice a little living space for a better functioning kitchen 😅😋
I agree. I was even thinking to pull the fridge into the room and so make the kitchen bigger.
Can you share where is your rice paper lamp shade from?
Paigee, what do yiu think of exposed brick? Hot or not?
Anyone have the link for Paige's lantern?
PAIGE The black table in your first submission is so nice, I don't understand why you recommended styling this area with a wood table, brown rug, the warm chairs, and the brown mirror? Adding warmth is a great idea, but your suggestions overall seem like an overcompensation to me... Also the mauve light is nice and warm, and obviously the woman who submitted likes that colour. Alternatively, she could tie the light in with a patterned rug that includes a bit of that mauve colour (move the table to be under the light), then add art and some other warm elements in the form of wall decor like live edge wood shelves, a wood framed mirror, or something that brings out another colour in the rug. Your first redesign is a complete miss IMO (love you though and the rest of your suggestions lol)
Nice dog
0:03 Phoebe Buffay?
Embiggen the TV until the empty tv wall isn't empty.
LA Friends disclaimer: There was a pretty big scandal surrounding the chef of horses, so maybe look into that before supporting them in the future.
❤
