This is your most well put together video yet. The transitions were seamless, everything was placed right, great visuals too. I'm happy to see how far you've come.
I spend so much time focused on my studies, on my extracurriculars, on my research, on my thousand ideas all day. I feel like I have like 30 minutes a day where I can feel relaxed, and that's the 30 minutes I take to fall asleep. All because I'm afraid of not living up to what I always thought I could be as a child. Sometimes I think I'm not even that passionate about the things I do, but they're just the only path I've been taught leads to success. I feel like I live a fake life. But it's the only thing I've ever been good at, this whole "thinking" schtick. I don't want to grow up in a hurry. I want to spend all day hugging my mom, and my dad, and my sister who I barely speak to these days. But it's so hard for me. This fucking song man. I want to go back. Make so many things different. I want to start all over and spend days hugging my mother. I want to go back to when I wasn't in a hurry, when I could spend nights fucking around with my dumbass friends in a discord call, back to when they asked me to look after them when they got high and when we had to leave parties in a rush because that one friend always started trouble and made someone want to beat us up. I feel like I live a fake life every time I listen to this song. I wasn't meant to live like this. But I chose my path, no one forced it onto me. All I have left is the picture in my desk of a little kid coming up with a mother's day card at 6 years old. All I have is my box of memories with all the letters, the plushies, the keychains, the necklaces and rings, the photos and the napkins with lipstick from when I used to feel free. Now it's my turn to live with that. And I'll look back to a few years ago, thinking "Simpler times". And I hope I'll be ok.

I was friends with a girl for like six years. She wasn’t the greatest friend, she would often lash out and ghost me over small things, but I stuck with her and kept trying to keep the friendship alive. I did it partly because she had likable qualities that kept me around, but also because she’d been through hell and I knew she was just trying to keep her head above water. She had been abused her whole life by men, boyfriends of her addict mother, boyfriends, assaulted by classmates, even by people in her foster families. She’s the type of person who has a thousand layers of armor on at all times, and the only times I ever saw the walls come down was when we did shrooms together and she’d be forced to be vulnerable and face her traumas. Our friendship has been over for years and I struggle to accept that we’ll likely never speak again or reconcile, she’s just too far gone to be the friend I wish she was. But I’m not mad at her anymore, I’ve met a lot of bad and damaged people in my life but she’s not like them. She was a bad friend and at times our friendship bordered on being abusive, but the whole time she was just trying not to drown, just trying to survive. I wish I could go back in time and do some things differently, even if things ended up the same. I wish I could beat the shit out of everyone who’s ever hurt her, touched her, disrespected her. She deserved so much better and I hope and pray she sees the light some day, and I hope it isn’t in death.

This song always reminds me to call and check up on my mother and to just tell her I love her. Furthermore past just calling, I always make plans to see her. Life passes quick yesterday I remember being 18. I blinked my eyes and I’m 27 expecting my first child and my mother has aged significantly. She is such a treasure I will cherish her essence for life. As a single mother she raised in my humble opinion an upstanding, conscious, family oriented man that is stronger than his desires and the infinitely subversive evil that exists.

I can’t believe I just came across this 1 year later. My family has been going through some tough times and this summer has been making me feel bored and down, I don’t know why. I came across late night and listened to it. Around chances part I cried. I wish I could thank Kanye in person for the things he has done for people. I really hope you see this to know I thank you. I've been thinking about my old friend recently about what happened between us and what it was like when we were friends and all the memories and how i really cherished that brotherly friendship, and how he did too. I was like that brother that he never really had, we fell-out because honestly we argued a lot and he was like more in the wrong than me generally i was in the wrong 100% sometimes though. but like i feel so unbearably alone right now and seeing him every weekend and hanging out with him and literally crying in his arms. idk just makes me really sad he's gone most of the time. i miss him.. but idk if its for the better but still. i love you hayden.
When I finished middle school, I tried looking for a sad song to bring back the memories. Listened to Violent Crimes, and looked online for an extended version. When I found this, I was skeptical, because normally prodsb puts out songs that don't capture the intent of the original, but this… this made me think about my best friend going to a different high school, what I’m doing right now, and my future, hopefully with a daughter and a loving wife. If anyone gets this far, god bless. Have a good day.
So glad this video could do this for you. You said I usually can’t capture the intent of the original song, how do you think I accomplished that on this track and not others?
@@prodsb Usually the transitions between samples and different segments feel jarring or the segments themselves don’t feel like they would fit in the original song, but all the transitions in this video feel natural, and the segments fit really well.

This is so good.
one of the best songs i've ever heard
I can’t believe I just came across this 1 year later. My family has been going through some tough times and this summer has been making me feel bored and down, I don’t know why. I came across late night and listened to it. Around chances part I cried. I wish I could thank Kanye in person for the things he has done for people. I really hope you see this to know I thank you. And to anyone reading this, YOU ARE LOVED, LIFE WILL GET BETTER, YOU ARE CARED ABOUT.
is abandoning yourself for the sake of others considered a "violent crime"? loving unconditionally a "violent crime"? doing your hobby without bothering someone a "violent crime"? thus living a "violent crime"? i just want to live my life man.
Never listened to Kanye before. This popped up on my home page just now, and I'm going through a bit of a rough time, and this made me feel things. Might have to start listening to Kanye. Thanks for the beautiful music man, keep it up
Your journey starts here. Enjoy each verse, each sound mate. Get better!

What's it take to call your brother
Just to say you miss him and you wish you could spend time
What's so serious that you can't just pick up the phone
Let him know you love him
And that he's been on your mind
Tell him that you need your brother
Ask him how he's doing
And say you been doing fine
If it comes a point where you just don't know what to say
While you still have him on the line
Just say
We'll be, brothers forever
What happens to one of us, happens to us together
And we'll be, brothers forever
We'll be, brothers forever
We'll be, brothers forever
We'll be, brothers forever
[Verse 2: Ant Clemons]
All my brothers, keep them
Made a promise to my mama
With my right hand on the Bible
I won't lie right to your honor
Blood don't make us any closer
We'll get on before it's over
'Member freestylin' on them sofas
Now we sin in California, uh
I'm my brother's keeper
I'm a promise keeper
I won't let you slip let you slip
Let no one ever tell my brother to keep away
You calling, I'll show up, hit
My phone and I'll answer
I won't let you slip let you slip
Long as I'm alive, I'm my brother's keeper
We'll be, brothers forever
What happens to one of us, happens to us together
And we'll be, brothers forever
We'll be, brothers forever
We'll be, brothers forever
We'll be, brothers forever
Couldn't kill me if you tried, couldn't kill me if I died
I'm gon' always be alive, you were always in denial
Heard your song, you stole my vibe, so I brought back my old vibe
I'm too nice to all my dawgs, stand by me when I go wrong
Please don't love me for this stuff like you never did nothing wrong
Why did you do something to me?
Man, I'm still mad at my dad, uh
I fucked that bitch, she was bad, I fucked that bitch, on the rag
Years ago (Mmm)
Might get physical
Might get something, might digital
Life do something like digital, all romance got digital
How low something? Life critical
And this conversation critical and I'm something so pitiful
Why you standing, looking so pitiful?
Don't you know that you are beautiful?
Everything 'bout you beautiful
Everything about you is beautiful
That was the without you, new to them
We can do it now, what you knew of them?
Don’t you grow up in a hurry, your momma be worried now
Some people owe you a sorry, but that’s not your story now
Don’t you grow up in a hurry, in a hurry, in a hurry
Hurry, hurry
Don’t you grow up in a hurry, in a hurry now
In a hurry now
Sturdy, solid and sturdy, voice of a birdie
Told me, "Just stay determined, she would deter me"
Purdy, pretty and curvy, developed early
Curve me, 'til she finally heard me, and one day she served me
"Hurt me," she just kept yelling "hurt me!
Slap me and choke me and curse me!"
She still got wounds from the nursery
This is the woman who nursed me
Gave me some water when thirsty
Gave all her best to the worst me
Showed me my first bit of mercy
Showed me that someone can substitute love for so long that they don't know the difference and sex for her now is a bad anniversary
She want the alley like Kirsty, she don't remember the first me
Someone went into her purse and she just wanna know when they gon' reimburse me
She don't want no one at her sleeve, she don't want no one to court her
She don't want no one to curtsy, you know how people in church be
Callin' her fast but no one'll ask like, "Who the fuck put her at her speed?"
She come with the [?], and all of this happened at thirteen
Don’t you grow up in a hurry, your momma be worried now
Some people owe you a sorry, but that’s not your story now
Don’t you grow up in a hurry, in a hurry, in a hurry
Hurry, hurry
Don’t you grow up in a hurry, in a hurry now
In a hurry now

Niggas is savage, niggas is monsters
Niggas is pimps, niggas is players
'Til niggas have daughters, now they precautious
Father, forgive me, I'm scared of the karma
'Cause now I see women as somethin' to nurture
Not somethin' to conquer
I hope she like Nicki, I make her a monster
Not havin' ménages, I'm just bein' silly
I answered the door like Will Smith and Martin
Nigga, do we have a problem?
Matter fact, Marlon, this ain't Meet the Fockers
I'll beat his ass, pray I beat the charges
No, Daddy don't play, not when it come to they daughters
Don't do no yoga, don't do pilates
Just play piano and stick to karate
I pray your body's draped more like mine
And not like your mommy's
Just bein' salty, but niggas is nuts
And I am a nigga, I know what they want
I pray that you don't get it all at once
Curves under your dress, I know it's pervs all on the net
All in the comments, you wanna vomit
That's your baby, you love her to death
Now she cuttin' class and hangin' with friends
You break a glass and say it again
She can't comprehend the danger she in
If you whoop her ass, she move in with him
Then he whoop her ass, you go through it again
But how you the devil rebukin' the sin?
Let's pray we can put this behind us
I swear that these times is the wildest
She got the scars, they serve as reminders
Blood still on her pajamas
But yesterday is dead, yeah, moment of silence
Next, she'll be off to college and then at the altar
'Cause she know that niggas is savage, niggas is monsters
Niggas is pimps, niggas is players, 'til niggas have daughters
Niggas is pimps, niggas is players, 'til niggas have daughters

Don't you grow up in a hurry, your mom'll be worried, aw
It was all part of the story, even the scary nights
Thank you for all of the glory, you will be remembered, aw
Thank you to all of the heroes of the night (Night, night)
They gotta repaint the colors, the lie is wearin' off
Reality is upon us, colors drippin' off
Colors drippin' off

Goes hard dawg
Respect to you bro! This is too much, I'm crying
thank you for this so much bro this is your best ever
The beginning had me reflecting on my past, the middle on my present, and Kanye’s final verse to the end on my future.
Timestamps for Anyone :)
