I think I'd switch the censor for the tactician, especially since I tend to spend the early game fighting battles where I can't encircle the rebels, getting those additional kills can make them more manageable
i'd say the engineer is better by the time most people get 2 or 3 garrisons having 4 to 7 garrisons spread out controlling large parts of the map is really effective
A trick for early game is to ignore the miltia one and go a back way straight to police since they improve your relations with people unless playing mega brutal on mega brutal you need police and miltia to defeat the rebels as police will kill them

Pravus, if you Get public relations you will get more use of outreach programs. Then if you also get international aid you will get free civilian programs gradually developing on their own.
@@Super-Shafs if you want to see it yourself get the foreign relations office in the government tab on the top right (you need to have the hammar im the top left first) then when you get an event for the insegents being backed by powerful rivals, chose the center option subtle pressure, every time you do this the change of calling them out slightly increases as well as the chance that the subtle pressure will succeed
Did the same but the accusation backfire is higher like a Red Baron into the sky's and the best thing is that there is counter strike and subtle pressure

Pravus here are some tips for you 1)garrisons can sometimes act like soldiers what i mean by that is insurgent AI would think garrisons are soldiers so they wont escape 2)always and always buy telecom 2 and max level of dirt and main roads 3)saffron fields are easy i know but still you should mostly choose initavies on rural and remote (Sorry for my gramer english is not my first language) keep up the good work
Telecoms 1 is enough, but if you want more support level buy telecoms 2. Also you shouldnt always max dirt roads highways or main roads. Just 1 upgrade would be fine. Only max them on late game when you kinda trap them on a remote zone
Also u shoulnt just pick rural or remote because theres a lot of urban zones in this map too and less remote so unless you cleared the insurgents on the remote zone dont buy remote initiatives.
FYI insurgents can't retreat to a segment of the map that has a Garrison on it, they CAN attack it but if they are pushed back they are blocked by the Garrison. Same applies to your HQ, I think
It is also possible to do brutal without any advisors. There is a channel about someone playing Rebel Inc. without advisors. He’s really good at the game.

I have been trying to beat this level on brutal for over a year and I kept failing and now I know why. I would just drop troops on zones with hostiles and chase them around. Never thought of cornering them so they couldn't expand.
while I like tribal elder, I find the religious leader is super handy later into the game once they've already shown up, since they really get hurt if you start stablizing a lot of regions really quickly. I say if you get about 5 stable zones in frequent succession the punishiment on the insurgents becomes quite good. and come on, who doesnt like the idea of punishing the ai for not punishing you hard enough? XD
On Brutal difficulty anyhow, I've found that the international assistance upgrade isn't helpful enough to justify its initial cost. I usually sink that money into other, more vital initiatives to drive up initial support (especially important on Southern Desert, or any map using the General). I play this on Android and haven't paid for the full version so I can't use advisors, as such, I find that I just don't have the budget to make the charity investment in the early game. Then by the time I have enough money to blow on it I already have enough stable zones to where I don't need the extra income.
This game has some pretty heavy ideology informing its design choices huh. Letting dissidents have any political input is presented as just an objectively bad choice.
Eh, the gameplay is explicitly modeled after Afghanistan, where most of the wider world condemns the insurgents' reactionary and ultra-religious ideological foundations. I would also add that this game operates from the player perspective as essentially the agent of an occupying force against said reactionaries and zealots, so it makes a bit more sense with the Afghanistan lens in mind. If this were like a FARC and Colombia case, or any number of African insurgencies, then I think more of the political lines could realistically blur from an international support perspective. Maybe things will become more grey as the game develops and new modes can be built and balanced. Just my two cents.
I think the problem isn't dissidency but moreso the fact that you let armed groups scare you into submission. The map clearly shows them bombing their own regions.
The mobile version of brutal seems to be more brutal than the steam version. In the mobile version, the insurgents can spawn in two regions that are 10 logistical distances apart almost instantaneously, ie 2 insurgents camps spawn within roughly 2-3 months. The initial capital is also slightly less than in steam (and yes I have the same advisor). The only comforting news is that both start with the same reputation.
So I used to play on mobile and I wanted to know if it's actually possible to beat Mega Brutal without any advisor, cause I've beaten all maps on brutal difficulty without any advisor but when I tried it on Mega Brutal it felt completely impossible to beat without any advisors. This a challenge and I hope you read this. 💖
The only level I have yet to beat on brutal is Azure Dam with the Aid Director. I've found that to be damn near impossible. Edit: Also, Campaign mode, they better bring that to the App.
I think I often see people go with General, do basic stuff in Civilians and get Anti Corruption, then they just focus on warfare and let the charity basically carry the Civilians initiatives.

Roads and electricity improve building time, and some improvements roll out naturally faster. The trick is to not just slap all the green buttons as soon as you have the money. You can only build so many improvements at a time, buying too many means you roll out what you actually need slower-as your construction gets spread all over the map rather than being concentrated in specific spots.
anyone had a game were your reputation went from 140 to 8 because the insurgents just spawned 1 unit in my city every month despite having no support and no camps and because i had a limited number of troops i couldn't respond to all of them and lost? Might i add i killed atleast 1 cluster of insurents once every 1 or 2 months and yet they just kept spawning them which lasted from 2013 to 2018 and then lost because i had no reputation. Seriously where were they getting all of their troops from? They have NOWHERE TO GO. Yet they have more troops than they did when they controlled like 7 tiles?
It's a cycle...the more uprisings you have, the angrier people get, the angrier they get the more uprisings. You have to stabilize parts of the map before that happens.
i find the warlord incredibly easy to play with... literally just spam those troopes and extort people with blockades... just get the cheap stuff done and anti corruption... then let NGOs worry about the rest...

Easy way to find camps:
Zoom in and there will be a visible question mark which is 100% a camp on maps.

I let them capture 1/3 of the map then I rush out nationals and garrisons, I hate coalition soldiers

Save every character per map for mega brutal, but you will need it to unlock everything i think

Don't put troops on garrisions because you can spread em out to stop the insurgent from attacking everywhere
But if the insurgents attack the garrison they can destroy it and if your troops are busy you could lose it.

I think that camp spawned in the friendly zone because you had no police. Just a guess.
