🌺🌈🌊🛼. You two make a great cross stitching duo! Allison, I have stitched on fabric that had a snag, after putting in my stitches I could not see it anymore. Also remember that this will be framed and behind glass. You will never see that once it is hanging up on a wall. The way we are looking at things so up close in our hands is simply not the way they are looked at when they become wall art. 🖼️
Being behind on flosstube means I know the 602 was found but man I could have helped! My floss collection spans decades from buying lots. The greys are particularly bad I have been finding too
I’m so sorry about the snag - if stitches go over it will be fine. I just did that for a ripped linen thread. That mirabilia Cinderella is ridiculously beautiful - like it looks unreal! Gorgeous bags and fabric! Thanks for sharing it all! 🍹
I have a skein of 602 from the mid-90s. If you need it, it’s yours. Edited to add how much I enjoyed this Flosstube. I’m trying to not start everything that I fall in love with, and have a couple of samplers I’d like to finish this month. ⚾️
A big wave hello to each of you! Thanks for the episode! I AM stitching some fun Xmas in July this year--all small gifts and small items for a seasonal display. :) 🍉
Firstly I so appreciate you mentioning my feee pattern series! Secondly I just checked and I have quite a few skeins of older 600, and 601 but no 602 🤦🏻♀️
Thank you ladies for another great video. I'm starting 'Christmas Cat' by Barbara Ana for Christmas in July, I also have x4 other Christmas WIPs on the go that I hope to work on too, 'Housetop Santa' which is a Patreon chart from Teresa Kogut, 'Mistletoe' by Carolyn Manning, 'Cardinal Kin' by Plum Street Samplers and 'Santa & The Wool Makers' by Kathy Barrick & Liz Mathews. This evening I'm stitching on 'Rose Hill Plantation', slowly getting there! 💗
🩴 I have got myself in 8 different SALs. Bake me A Quaker, Liz Mathew’s Dimensions, Feast of Friendship (with a friend for her birthday ), North American Adventure, Taking Up Space for Juneteenth, A Sampler for All Seasons(friend’s BD Sal),Summer Camp 2024, And a Forest Grew, , 🤦🏼♀️ Plus other WIPs. FOMO is real!!! 😂
Okay, I submitted the comment thinking there wasn't going to be anything else to comment about and then I find out I screwed up your Cinderella. So sorry! But also, it's absolutely gorgeous and you are making me want to buy it.
I love summer so I’m in my element with all the emojis 🏖🐬🦞☀. Phew, that was quite a ride of ups and downs this past two weeks but your stitching beautiful as always. Have a fantastic 4th!
Thank you!!!! I'm totally smitten with New Baby too. Although Old Baby is one of my favs as well. Ha ha. Thank you for all the nice things you said and I believe this explains the bump in subscribers we just had so thank you for that as well!! I also want to say that I watch your videos until the end, but I'm watching on my computer while I work so doing the emoji thing is harder and I fail at it often. Just know that while I'm WAAAAAAY behind on FT, when I watch, it's the entire thing. I don't know if the Needleply app would help you with your sulky conversion. It does have sulky on there. Just a thought. I would be shocked if I didn't have old skeins of 602. If you still need them, let me know. If you haven't done it previously, would you be willing to do a university on Markup XP? I keep hearing people talk about it and I want to know how easy or hard it is to get a non-pdf chart in it. I use Pattern Keeper and it's amazing for pdf's but I struggle to get paper charts in. I know you can. Alyssa is pretty good at it, but it's not easy. So much de-skewing.
For Lady and the Flag issues try contacting The Thread Gremlins, they have a floss tube and one of the wonderful ladies has fixed aida with holes, and pulls. They might be able to help
I am 73. I used to have a full set of extant DMC. So, sure enough, I still have some ancient 602. I know it's not a full skein, but I am too hot and miserable in this killer 100 plus heat to calculate how much is here. It's cut into 39 inch lengths. There are 7 lengths, but at least one length is short of at least one strand of thread. I love this color, so I would like to be at the end of the line, but OF COURSE it is yours if you don't get enough offers of other old 602s. I bet the new 602 will also make my heart sing, so then I can send this off to you without another thought. I will buy a new 602 next time I am out, to check out the difference. Oooh, I sound so begrudgy, but I'm really not, I promise. I want it to be used. The HOA is resurfacing my street tomorrow so I laid in food supplies today from Trader Joe's, knowing I wouldn't be able to drive on the pavement tomorrow until around 5, I think, when we get the all clear for the evening commute. So, give me a day before I say, WHEEE, here you go! I know you love DMC as much as I do. You are a worthy recipient. lol And if you still need blendy colors for the center, I am 100% happy to give you my similarly-not-quite-complete skein of old 603, which is slightly paler than 602. I don't even need to look at the new version of 603. It's just yours if you need it.
First of all... Allison your hair looks fabulous!! I love it! I'm so sorry for the rough stitching week Allison! Keep your head up it's going to be fine! I totally think the dress will cover it and if not it'll be perfect the way it is! I LOVE coastal cola. It's amazing and you got so much done stephanie!! Loving those colors on touching the autumn sky. Two heirloom mirabilias between that and lady of the flag!🍉
When you said “the pretty one,” it made me think of my husband’s childhood memory of his cousin (as a small child) screaming “wait for me, the prettiest one!!” They have not stopped giving her heck about that one. 😂
Sorry, I don’t have old DMC. I hope you find some. I would hate to see you abandon the project Allison. Happy 4th of July. Enjoy time with your families.🍉🎆
Note to self: watch the whole video before commenting. About the snag in Lady of the Flag. Try gently stretching the fabric on the bias and see if the loose thread will work its way back? You can also guide the thread back using your needle. If that doesn’t work, I think you should just keep stitching. I highly doubt you will notice that after stitches go over it. ❤ Don’t worry
🐝 I’m participating in The Black Needle Society’s Frogwarts Retreat next week. So I will be stitching on 12 projects for the retreat. Whew! Great Flosstube💛🌹💛
☀🏖 Oh Allison what a rough couple of stitchy weeks!! I sadly can do nothing to help you lol but I have complete faith all will work out!! Also the way my jaw dropped when you shared your MFE start it is looking fantastic 💕💕
Hi, I love you guys’ channel! I would love if you could talk about beading I had not heard about it before discovering this Chanel and it seems very interesting! Wave🌊☀️🌺
Hi. I have very old 602 which I inherited from my Moms stash. Be happy to pass it on. Not sure how you can give me your address though. I dont have Instagram, I have Facebook messenger though. Hope this helps!
I am going to work on Heartstring Samplery's "Ding Dong Merrily On High" (which I just received in the mail TODAY!). I gave the postman a big wave and mouthed a thank you! I downloaded the tutorial from her blogspot. I was so glad it was still there (the pattern is from 2020). 🩴I have two right flip-flops and no left one. 🩴
Great video. I am so glad you touched on over buying fabric stash.
I love that pink border!

Thank you so much! ❤️
Fun video and great wips! I actually sent you a wave as I watched and I was stitching! Have a great 4th and a week of fun stitching🏖️
You two are so much fun to watch❤❤

I have two skeins of vintage 602 if you end up needing them. The idea for the center is brilliant.
Thank you for another wonderful video. I definitely plan to stitch Christmas in July. Thank you for sharing your personal stitching. 😎
Love the video! ❄❄ I'm in the middle of winter, so winter emojis instead!!
New to your channel and really enjoying it.
Thank you so much! ❤️ Welcome!

Firstly I so appreciate you mentioning my feee pattern series! Secondly I just checked and I have quite a few skeins of older 600, and 601 but no 602 🤦🏻♀️
So sorry about the rough week you’ve had with your stitching. I don’t have a vintage 602 but I have 600 which is very close if it’s of any use. Wave 🌊

The Thread Gremlins had a project with a hole and were able to reweave threads to fix it. Maybe they can advise you. Wave 🌊

It's a happy accident not a mistake, as Bob Ross would say :)
Oh I forgot yesterday to mention - I really love that unicorn pattern too, so if you decide to do a SAL later in the year… just saying… 😂
For Lady of flag just stitch over it. If its an area that would remain unstitched stitch over it anyway with 1 strand that matches fabric...
I gotchu Allison on one partial skein of vintage 602!
That’s amazing!

🌻⛱️ I will be participating in Christmas July and working on my mill hill Christmas village for a couple days.
OOOh I love the Christmas Village! ❤️ -Stephanie
I am also in if ypu decide to host a unicorn sal later this year. I would try stitching over it and see if it looks alright.
🦩I will be stitching Christmas claws by salty stitcher for Christmas in July.
Hi I have some DMC 602 that came from the thrift store. Please let me know where to send it.
Thank you! Can you DM me on Instagram?
I have 2 skeins of 602 that look like the old one.

Pausing to look at my old DMC!
I have one old skein of 602 it's not 100% full but I don't need it if you want it. And it's old like before they put dye lots on their floss.
I *think* we have enough. Can I come back to you if we don't? Thank you so much for your kind offer! -Stephanie
@@CrossStitchtheGlobe Sure, just let me know. I don't have any current plans for it right now.
@@ThePajamaStitcher thank you!
I only have the new 602 skein 😢 but I believe 600 DMC looks light a bright pink also so should be a good one to use to blend in the middle portion 🩷
🦞 thank you so much for sharing about my tutorial! Love catching up with you as always! 😍
Allison, I believe Olivia Longlivthestitcher got her hands on some older DMCs. It might be worth asking her if she has what you need.
