So not just cops , malyalis in general consume alcohol but they do it in limit , you won't find them fighting on roads after consuming alcohol which is common sight in NCR

There is nothing wrong with praising him for subduing the accused alive without giving up his courage in a sudden attack. The situation was handled well.

That's technique😶 he didn't even secure grab of his hand untill very late in which mechete is. He swung at him numerous times but stopped to hurt him. That was a horrible technique, one right swing and he could have lost his arm.

This is a classic proof that training makes cops extremely good and they can protect themselves and also do their jobs well. I am not saying that this cop was trained to fight, maybe it was just intuition, but the fact that he did everything correct to take down the attacker indicates, that training can be given to police to handle such events. Alas, India lacks training, most of the police personnel are pot bellied, weak and unprepared. Years of just using uniform to power project rather than skills has led to such sorry situation.
However this cop is a shining beacon in the sea of police ineffectiveness.
Yeah police should learn to drive tanks and shoot with RPGs, whenever they see something wrong in society, they should learn to fire artillery rounds at hostile people. And finally during criminal interrogation, they should put a drilling machine into the throats of the accused and turn it on when they don't answer questions
