    5 years later and still helping people! This saved me a ton of aggravation today, just before the holidays with a family of 8! Our root cause was a giant fur/hair/lint ball.

    I want to express my gratitude for this video, thank you so much! I was at my parents for Thanksgiving and they had a "DRN" error. Upon watching this issue, I was able to fix the washer within 45 minutes; we found an old T-shirt stuck in the drain.

    I cannot tell you how grateful I am for this video - it has been a very long hard day and my daughter called me with this very problem. I followed your instructions and found (with some creative effort) a head band stuck up in the drainage receptacle (not sure what that compartment is called) everything works well now. Made a very difficult day a little better. Thank you !!!

      I second this sentiment! Just found an adult footie sock in the "drainage receptacle"! Thanks for the video. I would have been crushed if I paid a tech to do this simple fix. Also, all small items now go in a net bag.

    Mine isn't a Bravo XL, but it looks fairly similar. When I took the hose off the basin on the bottom, there was some kind of plastic thing in the opening, shaped kind of like the pointy part of a juicer, if you can picture that. I tried pushing on it, but it felt attached. I couldn't actually get into the basin at all from where the hose entered to find blockages. Was the opening of yours fully accessible to feel around in?

    • @indypicker
      @indypicker  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Did you work your way from the outlet hose to the pump first? If you are to the basin and found no block you missed it or it could be a bad pump.

    • @bryceemley5206
      @bryceemley5206 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@indypicker Turns out the pump got jammed pretty good with fibers, after only about 4 washes. It's under manufacturer warranty, so we got a guy out who told us natural soaps lead to this more often, since they use a clay-like substance, so to use a max of 1 tbsp of it per load (or 1.5 if using a deep water cycle). Also recommended washing with vinegar or at least running 2-3 cups white vinegar high heat/high speed cleaning cycles 1-2 times a month.

      @@indypicker we just has a brand new pump put in back in April of 2021 of last year. Is there a way to unbolt that center bolt in the wash to even check if there is anything underneath there?

    I am in this same nightmare right now. Have already taken the entire tub out with a car jack and all! Not the problem. Can you tell me...to do this do I need to lay the machine on it's side? And if so, what happens to the water that is still inside?!??! Thank you!

    • @indypicker
      @indypicker  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would use a bowl to get majority of water out the lip will keep the rest from pouring out. I put a couple towels down just incase. then lay on its front you need to get to the bottom and back of the machine.

      @@indypicker Ok...thank you! I'm sorry, but how did you get the back off? I unscrewed all the screws and there is a plastic accordian black hose that keeps it attached. I don't want to puncture that do you detach it directly from the back panel or from further down where it attaches to the inner white plastic tub casing? I hope I'm making sense.

      If you look underneath the black hose will attach to the motor with a clip. Unclip it and you should be good

    Did you diagnose it somehow or would the code just pop up?

    • @indypicker
      @indypicker  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It started leaving close wetter than use to, had to do a second spend cycle for a month or two before the code fnally popped up. Knew had to be something with draining system. Followed the piping until I found the clog.

    Thank you for this video. It helped me diagnose the problem. This along with the following video helped me find a nail in the pump fan.
