    No more guessing what's in the tank, now I know for sure.

      It was a connection problem with one of the wires, so I went back and redid it and it is working fine since.

    Did you do any BimmerCode videos? A lot of people still need help with that And I think you would do a good job explaining how to. I did mine and it’s so awesome lol

    With JB4 Map 3 - did you have to change any settings when switching from 93 to the ethanol blend?

    • @spiguyversgarage9452
      @spiguyversgarage9452  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, just run it. I did do a hit and have the logs looked at before deciding to stick with it.

    Good morning brother, my question is when you install this do you have to disconnect the battery in the back trunk? Or it doesn't matter.

      The say you should, I risked it. I opened the hood, then put the keys a long way (over 50 ft) from the car for about 15 min before doing the work.

    I am running to JB4 for like you, I am a map4 on E30 blend. My question is what firmware are you running right now are you on 19 or the 18 version? Should I switch my to map 5 and go up to e45? What do you think?

    • @spiguyversgarage9452
      @spiguyversgarage9452  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think I'm on firmware version 58/18//5. A long as you have an EWG connector you can go to map 5 and e45 and enjoy that!

    Did you have to get a custom map? To run the e blends

    • @spiguyversgarage9452
      @spiguyversgarage9452  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, you can run a few of the maps on the jb4 with e blends. But to get it dialed working with someone and getting a custom map helps.

      Everything has been good so far. I'm running Map 5 on the JB4 with some tweaks to it, and today was on E45 and got my fastest 40-100 yet, beat my previous by .12 second, and we made some more changes after that run.

      @@spiguyversgarage9452 I need to pick your brain on what changes you made. I've been having issue after issue. Just did a few pulls and sent them to Terry but the logging metric frequency isnt rapid enough to catch any issues I bet.

      @@spiguyversgarage9452 Also, FYI, between the Fabspeed spacer and JB4 passive delete option (vpn to another country and detect country in dev options to enable), I haven't gotten any CEL's on my catless downpipe yet. I'll update you if it continues to stay off in case you're interested.

    Why didn’t you connect to JB4? Was it due to the stupid cord they sent with the fuel it sensor? Power and ground go the left and my jb4 is on right side

    • @spiguyversgarage9452
      @spiguyversgarage9452  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@spiguyversgarage9452 I emailed them to let them know how useless it is connecting to a JB4 and why, they just said thanks for letting them know. I’m trying to decide if I want to carefully get the wires out of the sleeve and connect the JB4 on the right and power and ground on the left. The other option would be to strip the power line out of the sleeve, use the white for jb4 and connect ground on the right side. Then cut the power line and extend it over to the positive terminal. Nobody bothered to look at the JB4 install instructions or actually connect one. Ridiculous if you ask me. But it’s good product aside from the cable issue we’re all stuck with.

    For the actual install, you moved the camera from directly above your work area, to a spot too far away to even see what you were doing. Why, Spiguyver, why??
