Hello, thank you very much. Very useful video. I sell clothing so I added corresponding size columns to the overall layout in order to check available stock in the inventory. I also removed the first "Items" sheet because I consider I don't need it so the insert item option was moved to "Received" sheet. Thank you again, It was a very solid base to adapt it to me.

Does anyone have advice on how to setup kit sales? Meaning I sell a kit with several of my ‘items’ so instead of adding each piece of the kit sold in my sales tab, I’d like to select ‘Kit’ on my sales sheet and each item in the kit are automatically reduced in the inventory sheet. Possible?

Great video! I have a problem I am trying to solve. Using your example, wtr1 is received at multiple prices, ex: 42 units at $0.32, 54 units at $0.33 & 24 units at $0.35. But if I want to fulfill an order for 110 units, how can I create a formula that tracks the 42 units at $0.32 and then adds the 54 units at the price of $0.33 and then the remaining 14 units at $0.35, and the automatically averages out the price for all of them, but do it so each time I place an order, it just pulls from the oldest inventory I have at whatever price it came in?

Thinking about the inventory check. would it be best to make a google form with inventory items and the count (on the shelves or in the warehouse) and link it to the sheet...
This will auto include a timestamp for when the inventory check was completed (and how far the check got) as opposed to the date picker...
I wonder if that is better... or maybe just different. I don't know...
    Again, thank you!

Now, create an onEdit function and put the GitHub code in it. Whenever you change a quantity in your Google sheet and if that quantity is below a certain number (for ex: 2 in the code) then an email message will be sent to the "email" provided in the script mentioning low inventory as the subject.

Thanks for the tutorial! It helped me a great deal. I have got a specific problem that I can't solve with the information in the video. When I buy products, they have a limit date for consumption and a series number I need to keep track of. Hence in the receive sheet, I added a limit date column and a series number column. However when i apply the formula in the sales sheet to be able to display the limit date and series number, I always end up with the same limit date and same series number for the selected SKU. To explain in more details, the Vlookup will automatically select the first limit date and the first series number that appears in the receive sheet for the selected SKU even if the SKU was received multiple times with a different limit date and series number each time. I am struggling to understand how to make it so that the limit date and series number can be different so I can keep track of them on the sales sheet. I hope that makes sense and that you will read this comment!

This is good but it doesn't take into consideration different pack quantities of the same product. 12 or 24 packs of soda for example. Different pack sizes require a different SKU if the pack size is to be included in the items table, but when the packs are broken down for individual sale, they result in the same product.

My problem is I want to be able to clear the data I have inputted on the sales tab once a month ends. But if I do that, what ever data I erase on sales will repopulate back onto the inventory tab. Is there a way to keep this from happening? Again, thank you very much.

This is very difficult to accomplish using spreadsheets and will generally vary case to case.

I am trying to have an inventory that allows for deductions from other tabs. I have a warehouse inventory and 9 buildings that pull from there; how would I deduct the available quantity from the main sheet to reflect what buildings are taking?
