Just felt nostalgic Swati was very good in story telling specially when teacher is not in class, in such a way that we could actually pictuarize the whole story be it mystery story or fairy tales. I don't know what it is to be raised like you my grandfather was the principal secretary to the first finance minister of India my grandmother was one of India's first successful bankers post independence my father is PhD in economics from Harvard business school and my mom is a academic with a triple D.Lit from London school of economics and is a senior lecturer at iim Ahmedabad. I have been raised in a highly intellectual and academic family with last 4 generations of Economits but my parents don't care what I do

The best lines that liked and learnt through is -
1.when you succeed you are not the only one, there's always a group of people who helped you achieve that .
2.when you are failure it's not just you and it didn't happened only because of you , it happened because of the circumstances around you.

The second line about failure made me cry when I heard it on the podcast. I was a success in my eyes till my mum was alive. I have considered myself a failure for a long time, and I never had a sounding board to discuss why I feel I am a failure (as I always discussed everything with my mum.) IT MADE SO MUCH SENSE TO ME when I heard Dr. Swati speak those lines; to my sense of failure. I didn't fail because I was not good enough. I failed because I had difficult circumstances, emotionally draining circumstances. What I lack now is to pull up my socks and rage forward. I am working on it, but its taking a lot of willpower. But thanks to Dr. Swati, I got a good perspective on my failure. ❤

She is the coolest parent I've ever witnessed. So balanced and calm. I had a very unhealthy childhood as a kid. So a child of my own is very important to me because I want to fill that void through bringing them up well.
