Awesome, I love his nails and the harpoon arrow! I made a wood sign and made it look like it was a piece of plank from the Rita and added a vintage porthole. I painted his face on a wooden plate then attached it to the back of the porthole. Because in my version he sank the boat! He especially looks great at night with my lights. Carved RITA letters on it, carved the longitude and latitude I wish I could load a picture or two but it doesn’t allow it. I also have this creature which I changed his eyes also Thinking of adding your harpoon idea and nails.
You can totally post pics of your projects on the C&C group page on Facebook. I'd love to see them! Creature is probably my favorite Universal Monsters character. I've always wanted to uplight mine since I overhauled him and take him up another notch!

Kinda wanted one of these before for my fireplace, now after seeing how easy it is to make it look 10x better, I really wish I tried harder to pick one of these up. Saw one go on ebay last month for $500, which is freaking nuts.
Wow! 500$! A few months ago somebody on Facebook picked one up at a yard sale for 30$!! I know if I see another one for cheap I'm grabbing it and overhauling it!! I had no clue these would be in demand.

Very cool Joe! They are easy to do. Thin aluminum tube with a dowel inside to hold the weight and you only make a small hole so your not slashing up your prop.

Cool cool,, the seaweed looks quite cheap and plasticky though..
It's plastic seaweed from Hobby Lobby. I might eventually stain it darker and clearcoat it to keep the wet look.

What did you use to clear coat it? I'm always concerned on using the wrong type of paint and having an interaction between the new and existing.
I used the Rustoleum 2X rattle can clear. He still looks great with no issues or peeling.
How did you mount it on the wall? Is it just that piece of wood?
2 pieces. The rod on the Gillman sits on an angled cleat on the wall so gravity holds him in place.
