It’s says: “Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.” Which means who ever who follows Jesus, he shall live the light of life ( everything that gives motivation and benefits), and save him from the darkness ( lost soul, poor, weaknesses, bad people). As teacher who teach children, his job is to give a young generation a bright future.

Just to clarify that the meaning of muslim is a person who submits his will to god, the person can be a follower of any of the earlier prophets. The prophets were chosen to teach the people and educate them that god is one and no other like him. We were told to obey Allah and obey the prophets, the reason we love and we respect all the prophets sent.

@@ThereIsNoGodbutMohammad Deedat passed away in 2005, but that doesn’t necessarily mean we must conclude that Islam is untrue because of a question we haven’t heard the explanation. There are still many scholars that we haven't asked them. If Deedat was alive he would definitely answer that question, even if he didn’t know, I’m sure he would try to study to get the answer.
It's very obvious that he's not what he claimed he was! Anything he said can be googled and quoted out of context like he did. So the challenge remains

Scripture tells us that He is a presentation of God "if you see me then you see my Father" and " I and my Father are one."
I believe when Jesus said "I & My Father are One" is suppose to mean One in purpose, which is to guide the lost Sheep of Israel back to monotheism. Your verse was taken out of context good sir.
Same for "if you see through me then you my Father". Mean following Jesus will guide them to God. This is not even a direct claim. In Quran, the most important and basic concept was clearly state, never will goes out of context. While Christianity main concept of trinity, are not even in the bible.

The Bible isn't lost in translation my dear...you can understand it if only want to, but most people don't want to. When Ahmed Deedat asked that question, he wanted the exact phrase he said which is a biased question. When someone asks, who are you? There are some many ways of answering the question by saying; my name is, or I am or _ _ _ is my name. But in this case Ahmed Deedat wants this question answered in a way that he wants so it doesn't matter how the pastor answers it, he wants those exact words.
For example Jesus claimed to be God in;
1. John 10:30-33, Jesus said I and my father are one, and in verse 33 it says the Jews picked up stones to stone because he had blaspheme by claiming to be God.
2. Also Jesus said in John 5:23 that all men should honor the Son the same way they honor the Father..and one way you the Father is through worship.
3. In Revelations 1:17, Jesus calls himself the First and the Last. He also does the same in Revelations 21:16, 22:13.
Still doesn’t show he claimed to be God nor says to worship him. Prophet Jesus was man who ate, drank, slept, breathed oxygen, used the restroom. No God would do such things. God doesn’t require these to survive. Only us human beings, such as Prophet Jesus, require them for survival. Prophet Jesus is simply stating that he is the message (messenger) of God and the only way towards the straight path is through him (speaking to his people at that time). Just like all prophets the way to God is through them since they are all messengers of God. Not once did any prophets claim to be God nor said worship them including prophet Jesus pbuh. Jesus wouldn’t prostrate in prayer if he was God. God is untouchable cannot be killed. If you truly believe Jesus is God then he is weak since he was “killed” and “tortured” on the cross. True God is all powerful all seeing and all knowing. Prophet Jesus didn’t even know when the final hour will come. The word father is not as a dad like we use. It’s a status an honor for the higher rank. Like majesty. Or when we tell the judge yes your honor. Prophet jesus for sure claims to be prophet in the Bible in the simplest manner he straight out says I’m a prophet. Hard to figure he couldn’t say he is God and to worship him in the simplest manner either and that’s because he never claimed to be God nor to worship him but to worship his creator who sent him down to guild all mankind to the oneness of true God. Lastly, if God had kids, which he doesn’t, it would’ve been Adam and Eve. They were created out of nothing while Jesus was born from a woman.

Can't believe the pastor easily lost his cool when cornered. I'd seen a lot of debates in you tube on this issue and no Christians were able to give a logical answer. Instead they'll try to avoid it by jumping to other issues.
actually there are alot of christian address this question, you just dont want to pay attention to it. and actually this deedat guy question is not really a question, he asked for a spesific exact words as he demand, Deedat wasn't asking christian to show where in the bible Jesus said things that show us who Jesus really is. Deedat asking for a spesific words "I am God and worship me", which if you really think about it is ridicolous, coz it kind of determining what God must say to reveal who he trully is. You can easily find it in the bible where Jesus said those things. I give you one example. everyone who believe in God knows that only God can answer prayer, and we can only pray to God. Jesus taught his disciples to pray to him and he will answer their prayer. so, who is jesus according to jesus? obviously Jesus saw himself as someone who's able to hear people's prayer and able to answer their prayer too.

I think the question is simple yet still outstanding. The reason why Christians can't answer is because Jesus never said such a thing.
The question has been answered multiple times with several references just coming from just the gospel of John, not to speak of revelation. Even the title, “messiah, son of man” is a claim to divinity
@@pa21thebeast Messiah is just an anointed one, and there are many anointed ones in the Bible. Hence isn't something specific to Jesus. "Son of man" is just synonym to "human being" hence I don't know how you equated it with God. Unless you are saying God almighty is a Son of Man

Messiah is not just “an anointed one”, it’s translated as means anointed, which has been a title given to multiple people, true. However, the distinction (if you actually knew what you were talking about) is the son of man title attached to messiah that specifies a specific apocalyptic person prophesied by David and ultimately Isaiah, with the title “son of man”. Son of man is a redundant phrase that would be pointless at face value, that’s why the actual word is of more meaning in Hebrew. The word is Ben-Adam which is describing an eschatological human figure that David himself calls God. Which is why the Jews called him a blasphemer.

Similar to how Muslims believe the Quran is the word of Allah but separate and coeternal but revealed in space and time. That’s the classical explanation held by the church since the 1st century. Hahahah, muslims are being trained to demand exact words and not being trained ask to question, which is a " Silly word criterion", because you are looking for exact words and that is absurd. Well, muslims believe that Jesus is only prophet according to quran, then show me where in the Bible does Jesus say, " I am only prophet, DO NOT WORSHIP" in those exact words? if you can't show me those words, then the islamic view of Jesus is false, and islam is false. There are certain claims that only GOD can truly make. If Jesus said things that can only truly be said by GOD, we have to conclude that Jesus claimed to be GOD.
Who is the first and Last? according to Surah 57 verse , First and Last are 2 of Allah's titles right? How can a prophet calls himself the first and last? Jesus claimed the title in Revelations 1 verses 17& 18. How come Jesus applied GOD's title applied it to himself?
Who can forgive Sins? According to quran, only GOD can ultimately forgive our sins. In Mark 2 in verses 5-12, Jesus said to the paralytic, " Son, your sins are forgiven" The son of man has authority on earth to forgive sins. And the quran claim that only Allah can forgive sins, yet Jesus forgave the Paralytic man sins. How is this even possible?
Allah is the final judge according to Quran in Surah 22 verses 56-57, Allah will judge the world, rewarding believers and punishing unbelievers. Yet, Jesus claimed to be the final judge in Matthew 25 verses 31-32, Jesus goes on to say that he will admit certain people to heaven and cast others in hell. isn't this something that only GOD can do? Why would a mere prophet say something like that?
Who is the "Truth"? According to Surah 22 verse 6 of the quran, Allah is the truth. Would a mere prophet even calls himself the "Truth"? Jesus does that in John 14 verse 6 when he said " I am the way and the truth and the life, no one comes to the father but through me". Thomas, one of Jesus disciples, addresses Jesus as " My Lord and my GOD" in John 20 verse 28. Jesus claimed all of these to himself and accepted worship from people. Is this the sort of thing that a prophet say? Can a mere prophet say all these things about himself?
Matthew (Mt 15:21-28): “I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” is that enough (sent) use only for messenger not God

i think you remember/resonated with the verse because there are more than hundred word ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ (samawati) and أَرْضِ (ardhi) in Al Quran, and you already hear it from al baqarah and ali imran probably more than 10 times.
Well it's common sense to know a grown man cannot be your God, Jesus may peace be upon him, taught the disciples how to pray to the most merciful, he even pray to the most merciful himself and even told them my father is greater than I!
@Jesus Is God I read the long story and what I got from it, Jesus may peace be upon him; was giving a message to the world to follow him so he can teach us to believe in the "most merciful" just like prophet Muhammad and the rest of the disciples may peace be upon them all.
