I really agree with your view on this one, I find opening up my laptop, when I have visitors over, to much of a hassle. So I actually almost never show them my pictures, because I only have them in a digital format. I have made a photo album some time ago, and somehow, that album always ends up in someone's hands or on the coffee table, when people visit me. It is so much easier, handing over a physical book, than opening up a laptop, start it up, wait for the machine to load everything etc... A book is light, the paper has a certain smell that I like, the feel of it is nice... I only see advantages in printing actual albums, especially if you'd like to show off your pics in an easy, fast and comfortable manner! Cheers from the Netherlands!

I think having the different angles and pics on one page looks good..depends on what you are going for..not cheesy at all Fro..I gives movement..Same for turning your camera on a angle for an off level picture. i like throwing different things in my pics and layouts..

Each of my journal pages has been scanned at 600 dpi and there will only be one of those on each (single) page. Is that resolution too large? Should I have scanned at 300 dpi? Again, you said "full resolution" and it would be helpful to know what that is especially if you put more than one pic on each page. (I want only one per page). Shooting in raw did you find that there was a lot of noise, or any noise in post processing? I'm having some issues with this and am unsure if it me, the camera or a combination... I wonder why you chose to fill the frame with the two page spreads and not with the one page. What prompted you to keep a white border around the pictures instead of making them full page? It is probably just a feeling you had, but if you could attempt to explain that feeling, it would be appreciated.

I think you should entitle the book "How To Get Whiskers in The Pizza, A Pictorial Essay" They can make it required reading for the health department.

You should say that it is FULL FRAME - RATIO, which is 3:2 a ration found on all DSLR's.
Jared, I'm assuming you export your Lightroom files as a jpg. Have you found that keeping the quality at 100 provides the best quality photos for you?

I find the Apple Photo books are far better quality than the Adorama ones, just my opinion.
