Did you watch the interview some time after the accident? Physically she's alright, but both of them came out from this with a mental scar. It's been a struggle for both of them to let go who was at fault and recognize that neither one of them caused this incident. It does it make the whole thing go away, it just makes it an accident. At least that's what the media is saying. I really thought that strike killed her on the spot. But the fact that I could still see her body taking in air and she was crying was a good sign. As horrible it was, crying is good because it means she's still alive.

It was the woman's fault. The announcer was wrong. You can clearly see that her skate traveled toward him on her last revolution before she hit the blade. Contrariwise, there is no discernable movement toward her of the man's skate.
I was having such a fun time watching them perform I forgot about why I clicked on this video… god damn. I noticed right before she was hit how his foot was swings above her head and I though “this is when it happens” and sure enough, it did. I felt so bad how she was laying on once crying with blood running down her face. Poor lady!

I forget how incredibly sharp the blades are. Every time I’ve watched skating competitions with couples, I have my eyes partially covered because of how close they get to each other at times. Especially when they are going as fast as they do. Scary!

In the US its a spectacle, flush with slo-mo replays from all angles. Tight shots to get in and see the blood. Russia turns the lights downand allows people to keep their dignity.
I remember doing that once with my close friend I accidentally hit her in the back so hard I heard a loud noise and she telling me she can’t get up and her back hurts and I realized her back broke I dragged her and she was at the hospital and she recovered we promised we’ll never do it again
The poor woman... I felt extremely bad for her, I can't even imagine how scared she must've been... She had an incredible amount of luck that she didn't lose an eye that day, this video is a reason for me to never start this sport in my life, it's just too dangerous... I was surprised how long the medics took to get to her and how slow they were on the ice. Good thing it wasn't a cardiac arrest. You'd think they would have crampons on their shoes so they could get across the ice faster and more safely

Something like that happened to me yesterday, I was skating for my first time and a good job. I slipped, and the girl behind me asked if I was ok.I said yes and she skated away. While she was doing that she skated over my finger! It was a lot of blood, and I got it all over the rink. A lot of workers were surrounding me and I was sweating and very nervous. They got all the blood off and got me a water. While they did that I was SO nervous and threw up the popcorn I had earlier. It was a blessing that I didn’t cut my finger off. It’s a moment I will remember my whole life! I hope this gets a lot of likes so I can recover.
People forget how pears and ice dancing is so dangerous. Not only can you get a scar like this but you can break your neck your back concussions... the list of life-altering risks is mind-blowing.

When I was younger I was sliced with a blade on ice it was on my leg. Honestly, It felt like pressure no stinging. I wonder if it was from the cold and how sharp it was. But when I got home in that warm house, Oh my was that pain intense especially when my mom was cleaning it.
not sure if the guy had ADD in the second accident , but in the first one im not sure who is at error because both were too close for that stunt and not sure who was standing in the wrong spot when it happened and tho it seems she drifted towards him, it seems both were willfully oblivious of each other and that should never be happening in the first place. It is both equally of importance to know where the other is at all time during their dance routines on ice.
