It looks lovely but I think the driveway surface is almost up to the damp proof layer on the house. Isn’t the damp proofing supposed to be two bricks above external ground level to avoid rain from splashing up over the damp proofing and increasing the risk of rising damp?

Correct my house has mild damp issues because of a new driveway installation. There must be a solution, a drain alongside the house walls maybe?

correct it should be 80mm minimum which is a brick and half otherwise i would dig the slab out
