- Do you keep hitting the item limit? Are you confused about the 600 and the 3000? Are you looking for a way to better deal with these limits but not feel so limited? I've got a few ideas to help. Hope you enjoy.

Update !!! 🎉 If you play on pc, go to settings and you can now up the limit to 6000 🥳 Once this has been done on pc, if you also play on switch you can then go play on switch with the increased level. It will pop up with a warning about the increased item number, but it will still let you play. It would not let me up the item level in settings when playing on switch, it would only let me on pc.
Im a game where you decorate , this low item limit is crazy!!
This is honestly the best advice. Halfway through, I started up my game and started thinning out some of the decorations/fillers I have. It's not much but after digging fully 2 biomes for materials, I've become much more conscious
The item limit needs to stop. It seriously limits your ability to get creative in my opinion. I want more natural somewhat overgrown looking biomes without them looking bare but the item limit makes it so challenging... This was very helpful though to maybe work around some stuff in my decorating

This is really helpful, it also helps me when decorating to completely clear the area i'm about to decorate of any holes flower etc, so I can start with a clear canvas!!

I just cleared out a bunch of stuff I don't need so I can decorate my valley the way I wish. Understand what you meant by duplicates counting in the 3K category now. Have got **so** much space for my crafted items now; thank you svm, BarbPlays. 👌

Also clear out ponds & rivers. Those count too for the item limit.
Agreed 100% I removed some of my extra reeds and lily pads
I have watched dozens and dozens of videos, read websites, etc. And your vid right here is without a doubt the best of anything I’ve come across! Thank you.,…although now I’m a bit overwhelmed, lol. Feel like you need to be a landscaper to figure this out. Yours looks amazing.

Thank you so much for sharing this. I think that they should absolutely increase the limit before full launch. I know the limit is a way of testing performance but it is low, especially with the amount of content and number of items that they plan to add to the game in the future. Do you know if the pathing counts towards the limit?
Pathing doesn’t seem to count 🎉 and agreed here’s hoping they increase it 🍀
@kikia.4516:They are suppose to increase it it’s Just a matter of when they will increase it since it’s one of the things the devs talked about increasing it could just be coming in one of the next updates sometime in 2023.

This is so helpful, you have no idea! I'm so glad this popped up in my recommended, I've been stressing about the 3k cap but this really helps a lot.

I wish they had an inventory that 1. Showed you how many of which items are PLACES 2. How many of each item that you possess.
Such a great video! This was really really helpful! Thank you so, so much for sharing your tips with us! I've recently been decorating like crazy and I'm about halfway through my limit and this has definitely helped me out ALOT!
One thing I noticed too that helped me was clearing out some of the presets in the ponds and especially in the lake in the Glade of Trust! They have a ton of lotus blossoms and cat tails in there. That can help too!

@rachelkerns86:the devs did say they will increase the item counter/item limit counter thingy it’s just a matter of when since the next update most likely won’t be sometime until 2023 and they have to figure out how much to increase it. That’s why I don’t decorate my village entirely yet so I still have space to stuff up.

i was using that rock cluster you can walk over to make paths but i started to remove those and do a staggered 1x1 bordered mud path Instead!
To be honest i play in switch and was not aware of the reduced item limit for switch than other platforms and i wish there was a warning. I like to decorate really close and tight packed decor and ive only got a couple places done and im almost nearing 300 items 😭 i feel like i wasted money and i get there needs to be a limit. Just wish i knew.
Oh thank God it's not just me!!! I was trying to make my island as detailed as possible but was EXTREMELY disappointed to see a cap on items. Sorry but this is just proving that animal crossing is better than dreamlight valley. I was dropping several flowers to make a flower meadow in the forest and then I noticed the item cap. I'm not playing the game till this is fixed. I get the game is still in the works but it's so frustrating to have to limit myself. I had all these ideas for my island but I don't like being limited or having a creativity leash on me. I hope there able to fix this in the future. I have a new orleans plaza, a new York city park meadow to relax in, a english victorian garden and a gotic vintage garden, as well as a tropical ocean area and a forest meadow and Christmas village. I still have ALOT to decorate, really hope this is fixed too. Not to sound like a stereotypical artist but they're stifling my artistic creativity! Lol!😂

They are suppose to be upping the item counter at some point its most likely just in one of the next up coming updates.

So far this has been the worst thing about the game. I randomly got this message while in a mission and I had to delete hundreds of items. It took so long.

Hey do the gardens count? I am at 3374 items I have a garden in each boiome
So the crops themselves don't seem to count but the holes they are planted in do count towards the total item count. 1 hole = 1 item on the total item count, so the holes are the problem unfortunately,

Having problem with a goofy friendship quest, I am not up to the item limit yet, but it refused to place even though it is green my other placement things are fine, but this one The crap booking refused to place down. What should I do?
@@georgiadavis7694 I don’t remember that quest very well, but other quests like it sometimes I had issues placing if it wanted me to place in a slightly different place. I hope you figure out why it’s being buggy for you 🍀
I've just hit my item limit of 3000. Might prove to be a problem....thanks for the info. It feels a little unfair that the game counts automatic spawned items as your total when it's not our choice.
I 100% agree on the automatic spawned items, I hope you figure out a way to get under the limit and still feel happy with how your game looks 🤞
If you lived near me, I’d bake you the most amazing brownies. THANK. YOU!! Only recently got a ps4 after saving for years and it’s my first game like this so this is really helpful knowing I can finally get a lot of those trees out of the way that count towards my goal 😂

I think the limt should be scrapped. It makes no sense to have one in a game like this.
I have over 3000 limit but I cleared out trees and rocks and there is still a lot more to clear out, idk what else to clear out 🥺 do I collect all those small pieces which I have mined such as rocks and and other things lying around? Plz I need help🥺
Yeah those will count towards limit, I would pick up anything like rocks and sticks and store them in a chest. I hope you got it all sorted out 🍀
Hi, i just downloaded that game and im still new it on Nintendo switch and will it works on my Nintendo switch I'm just wondering
I seen that if you use items in Bioms that belong to those specific areas that it doesnt get counted?
The items still count, but let’s say you use one of a type of bush that counts towards your 600 number, but if you use more of that type of bush it also counts towards your 3000 total. Try adding and removing certain items in biome and also try in another biome, but look at the 600 and 3000 numbers. It hard to explain but you’ll see what I mean when you do that.

Weelllll most of them. I think you need to keep 4 or so per biome to get wood but I’m not sure on the exact number
