The Wanderers - Amok Island

Amok Island journeys to the Heron Island Research facility on the Great Barrier Reef, learning about the ecology of the area and seeking inspiration via underwater photography, before painting a mural at a nearby abandoned marine park.
“The Great Barrier Reef has been a very interesting place, ever since I was child. I just want to see which animals really stand out to me and inspire me to paint them. I look at a realistic image of an animal or plant, for example, and I try to translate it into my own visual language.”
