yeah, it didn't play to the strengths of any skaters present. I do think this might have been the only course so far on which Andy Anderson could have made the finals, too bad he didn't skate this one.
Yeah cant have a perfect park every time but, the combination of its size, the tiny crowd and lack of flow makes this the most dull SLS event I've ever seen/heard. That'll probably include those unsanctioned ones during covid.
seems like they scaled back this event. small venue, no audience. rad skating, but seriously SLS what gives? Is it because Yuto and Nygah aren't there?
@@jeeeze It probably had more to do with the course, as soon as you land a trick, you have to be ready to do the next one, but there is no time to set up for it, so not many people doing combos. They're doing half the tricks in a run they usually would do on a bigger course. Then they get unfairly judged for doing less tricks. Most of their runs are to get into a position to do one trick, skate to the other side then set up again, they spend about 40 seconds just rolling.
If SLS is trying to save some cash, they should just hire Geoff Rowley to be all of the judges, design the park and commentate. It'd be way better and they might be able to fill some seats again.
I love SLS. But it’s the commercials every 5 mins for me hahah. Still watching it but keep my hand on the remote gets old. I’d pay $5 to watch with no adds. Maybe there’s an option for that I’m not aware of. Go Joslin and Yuto
Very plain jane. You’d think “Street” league skateboarding would have some actual street obstacles. Actual concrete Hubba, Some fake trees, maybe pavement around certain obstacles. Try a bit more street influenced courses.
I agree, very compact course for sls and the judging is questionable, even though the guys are legends. Whatever, nothing beats Tampa, so let's be happy with what we get:)
@@Thomasstearns42 This course is in the UFC Apex which would normally be used for Saturday fights, there weren’t fights this Saturday so I assume they didn’t have to pay too much to use it.
Yes it is and the fact that at every stop the commentators point it out (because it's still a thing) is pretty sad. We've had Street League for over 10 years and you still see the judging as inconsistent as ever .

Somebody please tell me what kind of shoes Tommy Fynn is wearing? I really like them, they look like the old school skate shoed but not quite as bulky maybe a re issue of an older shoe I'm guessing
Hard course to create a true line. Lots of 1 trick then jump offs bc of poor course design. I do like how it tailors to the more tech skaters then just having a massive handrail
Would echo other comments in that the course seems small/bad. With the run section, does no one else feel like we'd have a more interesting comp to watch if skaters were rewarded for what they land instead of punished for what they don't? As soon as you see someone stumble or fall you might as well skip it, everyone knows that line is getting thrown away. It'd be way more exciting if a fall means "I have to step it up now" instead of "might as well just stop".
Very much agree that you may as well skip the rest of the run if someone falls. I think having a perfect run should include an automatic bonus score, but falling once shouldn’t knock you down from an 8.5+ run to a 5.5.
14:18 “this course is really fucking puny” The park looks like a tech deck park that’s been snapped together. Need some more space between features, especially the landings for big rails/ gaps.
Aye! To the people complaining about the park and SLS decisions. Theres a reason the park isn't suited for great skatability and flow. It's a challenge on the skaters. It's up to the skater to do what they can with what they have instead of what they're comfortable with. Otherwise it wouldn't be a competition. There'd be no challenge. They wouldn't be pushed to be better. To do better. So quit complaining about the park itself and just enjoy the SKATING. :/
14:17 Decenzo "this course is so f***ing puny"
looks like they're hosting Street league in a conference room
Or a Vegas dance club
This course just doesn't allow the skaters to show how good they are. It's not a good representation of what SLS should be.
True, they tried to make it more tech based, but the park doeant flow and is way too small..

Usually when things become competitive it loses its appeal as most people just skate because its fun so when it becomes a competition becomes less so

Props to you sls on getting the broadcast back on yt! 🔥🔥🔥

It’s good to see mini ramp in SLS. Mixing things up!! Could do with a bit more flat bottom. 😂😂

Love to know who designs these skateparks, do they even accommodate flow into it.
Come to the uk… all our outdoor parks are shaped like a formula one race track with mystery paths shooting off here there n everywhere .. shite ! .

Really wasn't fun to watch them rob people like that
this is prob one thing we need people to properly work on so we can have a solid and consistent scoring like other sports
It wouldn’t have mattered , he got like a 2.4 on the line section
at least they have better judges than the olympics

The park is dope, just not enough room for that many spots. :/ First line in and someone already ran into a rail.

Jagger is looking too young for 2021 years
He'll choke on that gum before he chokes on a trick. Dude is so consistent.
why is sls just admitting that scores in the first heat are gonna be lower? isnt that a direct disadvantage
The 1st heat is rated too low every time... doesn't make sense
the same thing came to my mind. Joslin did a switch heelflip and got a 8.1, and PRod also did a switch heelflip but got a 8.4
