Hey everyone, apologies if there are any typos. I'll be getting to comments in the morning as it is currently 3:57 AM where I live. I had a nightmare trying to render this out, but I didn't want to disappoint. I hope this video is helpful!
I was in the middle of working on a project but glimpsed this video out of the corner of my eye and started watching. Now I'm here installing and playing with these one by one. I'm not even 10 minutes in and half of these are "Wish I had seen that like 2 days ago" material. Awesome stuff. Definitely effort worth a sub

Lily's Surface Scraper inclusion in this list really ... really gives encouragement. I am not surprised it exists (albeit as a add-on/plugin) in Blender; the tool exists in many top-tier apps. Compares to the open-from-web templates in Open Office, MS Word, etcetera. And in a plugin project I was doing for another proprietary animation software, I wrote this system literally exactly the same way it works here. LSS and my own system focuses on the URL and instant auto-use. SO great to see it auto-apply to a surface here. Maybe it would be good to dive into the blender plugin scene, contribute. Many thanks for creating this amazing video.
SO much good stuff in this video. Thank you for taking the time to put this together. Correction on Wolf's add-ons: half of them are free, and half of them are paid (and those trees and grass look amazingly worth it for $20 each).
Thanks a lot buddy, not only is the long list of Add-ons inspiring, but also the fact that someone stays up late organizing all this wonderful information for us to learn. Santa should give you a huge gift by the end of each year.
This was beyond helpful.. thank you soo very much for putting the time in to test and compile this list, most of these are invaluable and really ease the processes along
You might have just been drily sarcastic when you mentioned how Extra Objects adds "random things such as teapots", but maybe you don't know, since this is ancient in terms of computer graphics. That is the Utah teapot, one of the first objects modeled with bézier curves in 1975, which then became a standard reference object for rendering, and later a CG in-joke. I guess it's past its prime by now, since it no longer presents the rendering challenge it once did. But I am old -- whenever I start using a new 3D program, I look for the teapot and smile when I find it. Great video, lots of stuff here I didn't know!
I was about to comment Machin3Tools until I read the description. It's one of my favorite addons and the new vertex alignment feature is such a timesaver.
