Your hero ought to be a man of principle, so that when he denounces someone for benefiting politically from a system he calls a "travesty", so impassioned about it that he calls for citizens to rise up and revolt against the win, he would surely never benefit from it himself in exactly the same way he is so upset about, right?
Your hero cried foul when Obama won in 2012, insisting that Obama's victory was not legitimate because, he alleged, Obama had lost the popular vote, winning only in the electoral college. Of course it was just an entirely false cheap shot. But it is instructive because it reveals how extremely disingenuous and unprincipled Republicans really are; it isn't a real principle when you express it with great passion to denounce someone else, but drop it completely when it comes time to personally benefit from the thing you condemned when it suited you.
The unprincipled hack made a big show of being outraged, and called in a public plea for a citizens revolt, literally calling on ordinary Americans to prevent Obama from taking office for his second term. Calling for citizens to overthrow the president of the US is a pretty serious business, but of course, the your hero seems to have little concern for consequences, since he has led such a privileged life he has very little experience of being held accountable, leading to his silly belief that he is above the law, as he made clear when he asserted that no matter what crimes he might be charged with "I have the absolute right to pardon myself".
So far, no Republican I have spoken to offline or on, has expressed the slightest concern for their leader's reversal on a matter so powerfully expressed that he called for an outright citizen's revolt, because the breaking of the principle was that bad, yet now that Trump did what he thinks we need a revolution to prevent when a black man does it, Republicans in general have no problem. The lack of a shred of moral awareness or personal integrity among Republicans that admired the scam artist when he was falsely attacking Obama for winning the way scam-boy actually did 4 years later, but now are fine with the same principle being broken to benefit the white man (well, orange, but the point is, he isn't black), is stunning.
