Hey, everyone! I just want to say thank you so much for the support and thank you to the teachers who are showing this in their classes. It really means a lot. -Kim
Omg, love it! You really brought life to that poem! I have to memorize the poem for my English class too, and I just about memorized it, thanks to your song version. Thanks for !making the poem more entertaining and easy to remember!
I firstly knew that poem from the movie "dead poets society", but in french, as I am, and I started recently to learn it in english, and, loving music and speciaaly guitar, I searched for a beautiful version of it, and didn't thought I was gonna find something so beatiful.. thanks!
Amazing! I was searching for this poem as a song to share with my 8th graders - I listened to the first line and knew it was the best one. We loved it! Thank you!
Beautiful, full of pathos, a really good tribute to both Lincoln and Walt Whiman. I love the melody, which truly captures the sadness and pain in Walt's poem. Your voice is beautifully clear and does transmit the melancholy and painful emotion in the poem. Congratulations, you are a song-writer and a sensitive young girl. Do not stop composing, playing the guitar, singing, and--especially--reading poetry. All of this will enrich your life and the lives of those around you. :) -- Jim Valero.
Thanks so much for posting this video! I had to memorize this poem in one night to recite in class the next morning and it really helped....by the way you did an amazing job singing and playing the guitar!
