I used 16 pin M8 needle for a pick axe acne scar on my lower mouth, next to my chin. I was always an issue for me. Saw a plastic surgeon who quoted me thousands for laser or scar revision surgery. Dr Pen worked! 2 treatments at 2.5mm, scar is almost gone. I would say 90 better. Also, I use it for collagen induction therapy with my serums after. Always use a lubricant! I use hylaronic acid. Also try to maintain a sterile, A septic space, use medical alcohol and maybe sterile drapes and gloves if you can get them. Hand hygiene is vital. Also make sure you clean the pen before you use it, on a clean face. You don't want an infection!
You explained the number of pins so well. I got a 42 pin cartridge, thinking it was going to penetrate deeper with the stretch marks and I barely felt anything so now I’m going back to the 12 needle cartridge.
Needle count.. The more needles per cartridge the more shallow you go The less needles per cartridge the deeper you can go More needles equal more resistance when puncturing the skin making it less effective at reaching the desired depth of treatment. Studies show that no matter how deep you needle there is only improvement in the top 05mm of skin. Punch biopsies have shown that. You can google the article and look at the pictures, very interesting!
Nope, for acne scar resurfacing, 2.00 to 2.5mm is needed It needs to penetrate near the epidermis specially if you have fuller or thicker skin anything below 1.25 is for cosmetic use only and product penetration. But as far as scar depth, it doesn’t give miracle effects to ice pick scars because their too deep and needs subcision to cut the tissue that causes the depression of the scars beneath.
@@lonewolf5969 Incorrect No matter the depth, improvement was seen only up to or at 0.5. The book by Dr Lance Setterfield explains in depth reasoning, procedures and examples with recent studies, I suggest you read it. Home users shouldn't go near the depths you mention. Topical numbing wont be adequate for such depths either. Certain skin conditions are not affected by microneedling. Ice pick scars are one of them. With adequate research prior to starting one would come to that conclusion. Not sure why you brought up tethered scars, microneedling does nothing to improve them.
Thank you so much I ordered from Dr. Pen USA I didn't feel comfortable they have no phone number no social media there has been do much fake Dr pen devices thank you and your manager for taking the time to help me beautiful ❤️
i got a few 42 pin as a gift and they dont penetrate at all. i tried using them on my forehead really hard and after that it stings only a bit. in fact its more like soreness than a sting that i get from 12 pin(the needles of which are so sharp im even afraid to touch it with my finger). i guess 42 is ok for serum stuff and a sort of massage
Monica thank you for taking the time to do all this for us. Honestly you are the best. No matter what the question. And I know I have driven you crazy And you always do it with a smile. You are the best.
thank you so much for being so thorough!! i was very nervous to start, kept getting everything set up and chickening out LOL but then i watched your videos and im ready to go!! Youre so cute and fun to watch!
The explanation of the difference between pins numbers doesn’t point out the most important thing which is the effectiveness in the penetration. The example of the bed of needles is more about the idea of less needles penetrates better into the skin than lots of them so again, if you think of laying down in a bed with 1 or 5 needles they will enter into your body easily and deeper than 100 needles which all together creates more resistance and that’s why the example of the bed. So with more pins you’ll have to use a lower speed for example to let the needles to’ penetrates properly which also will take longer and will be not that much comfortable anyways, while using less pins, let’s say 12, you can use the highest speed and covering the same area quicker and more effectively cause less pins are easier to penetrates.
You lady apparently have missed your physics lessons at school. The 11 pins would not go as deep as 48 pins ONLY if you apply the same pressure and this pressure is limited. However, DrPin’s devices are designed to guarantee the depth of penetration (are they?). Therefore, the only difference between the cartridges is the number of holes punctured in a unit of time. You did not explain why it is important for different face/body parts
Thank you for sharing this video but now I’m more confused 😕. W purchased the A6 which came with the 12, 36 and nano. The package that says nano actually has visible needles . When I tried that cartridge on my face at .25 I was rubbing with the plastic. Can you please explain.
hello. is there reason why the 11,12,16 pins are better for acne scar than 36,42 pins? just curiosity. I thought more pins and more holes would work better? I have no experience and looking into buy one that's why I wanna ask. thanks
I dont know why as well but when I use the 42 pins I never bleed. It almost feels like nothing for some reason. On the other hand, when I use the 12 pins, I almost always bleed and experience redness for a few days after. I honestly think the 12 pins work better.
Thank you Monika, I hope you can help I want to mainly use it for stretch marks but which one is better to go for A6S or M8… seems like it’s harder to buy the cartiges for a6s. Also is it better to use 36 pin and 42 pin for stretch marks? Thank you lots of love and light 🤗
The subcutaneous fat layer is a target area that cannot be reached by microneedles. The main purpose of microneedle treatment is to target the epidermis and dermis of the skin. Although obese people have thicker subcutaneous fat, this has nothing to do with the thickness of the dermis. Therefore, obesity does not lead to the need for deeper needle lengths. The choice of needle length is still based on the specific treatment goals (such as wrinkle removal or spot lightening), the specific skin problems, and the thickness of the skin in the target area.
I’m using HA with the 6as Dr. Pen. pen but the pen gurgles because the water gets inside the cartridge. Is the gurgling sound normal? Are you having this issue, too?
Hello there. I know this is an old video but I hope to answer my question PLEASE. I get the m8 dr pen with the 16 pins. Can I set the pen at 0.20 mm and use it for serum penetration instead of use the nano cartridge?

Hi I bought a dermapen 3yrs ago and only used 2 pens cartridge the rest was still in the box I just found out now that there are some yellowish color under the needles can I still use them? Can the cartridge get expired? The needles are still sealed. Please answer me Please
Can you please let me know what is the gauge of the needles on the nano? I want to microneedle my beard area at 0.5mm but still not sure which needle to use. I would think the 34 gauge would be ideal but not sure the needle count or the nano , pls help!!
You are too adorable. I'm debating between the M8, A6S, and A7. Which is better for overall collagen and elastin production? Do any of these pens microtear or drag on the skin?
Hi Kani, thanks so much for your question. It really depends on your personal skin goals and preferences. If you need some help deciding which device is best for you, you should definitely check out the Dr. pen matchmaker quiz! It takes two minutes to complete and it will tell you exactly which pen is right for you based on your needs and preferences: go.drpen.com.au/quiz ❤️ Whether or not micro tears are caused is all to do with the technique used so you are already on the right path by watching tutorials online, just insure you are using a steady crosshatching motion and not going over the same area more than three times ideally. Also insure you are not applying any weight or pressure and letting the pen do all the work for you xx

Hi there! All cartridges are designed for single use only for both hygiene reasons but also for effectiveness as the cartridges can become dull and damaged after use.
This video is downright embarassing. Not only is she appearing to either be drunk or behave as if she is drunk but she is 'showing' the item off screen, didn't even bother to check the video and this got posted. This reflects very poorly on the company as now I'm assuing everyone is uncontrollable, unresponsible and sloppy. Because of this video, I'm not buying your product.

You are using way to much
Can someone answer my question so do you switch the pins cartridge when switching parts of your body? Or can you use the same pin size over your face
Why does the M8 not have 12 pins as an option? Seems they would penetrate better than 16 pins.
Excellent video, thank you so much 😊
