Thank you for not putting any music under these notavlogs as that would totally ruin the experience for me. And thank you also for not shying away from longer videos as I can always press stop when I’m fed up with watching :-).

OK I know why people dislike these videos. They are jealous! I work in my shop and just let these long slow vids play and let the soothing noise of the motor just drift me away and keep me calm. I even bought a big screen tv so I an look up and see the beautiful country side just roll by ... destress and carry on ...

Love these videos David. I am working from home and have the main screen with your video playing at the side of my smaller work screen. That way, it feels like I'm working on the boat as we travel along. (Sorry - 'Royal We' - I know you don't want uninvited guests on the bow of your boat) Also, it saves me having to look outside at the road, traffic and grey, rain filled sky. Cheers

Wow. I didn't think I would be able to view that all in one sitting , but i did and now I understand.
I understand why some narrow boaters only cruise for 2 to 4 hours a day.
I also understand why when the weather has been bad or for other reasons moored up for an extended period I see that Kath from The Narrowboat Experience up on the stern, tiller in hand and a big grin on her face you couldn't scrub off with a hand full of Scotch Brite.
Now all I have to do is win Lotto and I'm on my way over there to do the same for a few weeks or months or until I cruse every inch of the cuts.

Great video, beautiful scenery. I assume most narrow boats use propellers as the means of propulsion. Are there any other forms of propulsion - for example water jet/water turbine propulsion where water is taken in and forced through a turbine to propel a boat. This type of propulsion system allows a boat to traverse shallow water without damaging a propeller or having debris foul the propeller.

I like the idea of what you are doing. I would like to do it myself , but live in middle of the states. Any ideas on something similar here I could do?

You can rent canal boats on the Erie Canal. A wonderful way to travel, but lacking much of the pastoral beauty of the canls in the UK.

At 19 mins, did a dog fall in the water? A very relaxing video.
