Just wanted to say how much I enjoy your videos. They're not only food reviews it's the showing of different places that I would never see. Good videos and good editing.
What a great find ! Lovely little pie shop, I’ve really enjoyed this Whitby series, seeing the various places and scenery, thank you Deano, loving your channel as always 😊❤
I've loved this series. It has taken me right back to boarding school, which was in the South not up North but the Hostel reminded me of our Boarding house. Happy days
OH that pie looked the business. The mash still had some texture and not like water. Another really good 40's themed tearoom is in Mablethorpe.... now that is somewhere for you to explore- not too far away :)
That sausage and black pudding pie looked delicious. That is a bit of me that. Going to Whitby in a few weeks so will be paying that pie shop a visit and having one of those. 😎😎😎
One day I will visit Whitby! Looks absolutely amazing! That pie should be award winning!! Ive never had blood pudding, it kinda scares me tbh, lol. But id give any other one of them a go! Another fantastic video, Deano!! Thank you for all that you do to share your experiences woth us!! ❤️🙌🏻🔥
Another great video Deano ❤ I hope Mrs Deano and Cadee have fun in Japan! It's interesting learning about Whitby and all the places you go! Your videos make me hungry!
That's what you call proper food, Deano! You wouldn't get that pie in Iceland. Great atmosphere as well. I kept expecting to see a Vera Lynn pop in for a chicken and cider pie. It's also been a great Whitby series. I've enjoyed watching it.
Great vid Deano! Seriously considering paying a visit to the Humble pie shop travelling from Wrexham!!!!! And yeah Fentimans bottles had a few Ginger Beers sort of an exclusive old fashioned drink! The Pie was to die for, would probably go for the Chicken and cider! All the best Deano! Love your Vlogs!
Loved your trip to Whitby. I've been to Scarborough a few times but never there! I must rectify that. Loved the YHA and such great value, to be honest I didn't realise that older adults could stay there. Humble pie looks great, deffo worth a visit. I know that you went on the bus rather than the train, can yo give us an idea of how long it takes to get to Leeds. Cheers
Great review Deano, what a lovely place. Even better a nice pint of ale with a pie. The woodland mushroom pie sounded nice or bangers & mash. Did you see Arguments Yard? 😅👍
I went to Humble pie i loved the 1950s music and the smell of mint sauce. I had the vegan mushroom pie mash potatoe and mushy peas. Also i brought a humble pie tea mug the one one you showed there. Goodnight Sweatheart was the programme with Nicholas Lyndhurst.
Wow wow wow what a wonderful place, the decor the music and the food looked unbelievable, and what a lovely town, hoe you brought some food to bring home This was so much fun thank you for this
What a great video and an even better meal for you to savour and share with us. Do you own a gilet lol. Your piano playing is a bit heavy on the keys tho Deano. I have played all those games too ! Hecky thump, I am going to have to go to Whitby soon. Forget Trenchers, I want Humble Pie !
Deano, if you type in "A grand ride" on here, there was an advert made in Howarth that's similar to the Hovis ad... but it was made for the Tour de Yorkshire I think, so a good few years ago 👍
Beautiful restaurant to go and have your pies, you should carry on down the road to Middle Earth Tavern our favourite watering hole, very friendly bar staff and table service x
program was goodnight sweet heart m8 that track you came down was the old cart track to the Abby loved these whitby vlogs m8 but I wish you had gone into the Magpie in my humble it edges trenches and is number 1 the on the other side of the river by the life boat house iv been told was excellent too tho I'm not sure if its still open cheers for sharing Deano
Smashing little pie place, not so sure about putting a bottle in the glass you drink out of, unless the bottle was washed. The pie looked wonderful and very substantial, as did the rest! Gravy looked proper too.😊
That looked so much better a meal than the Trencher's Fish and Chips you had later. Proper pies made with love and served with nostalgia. What is there not to love? I would have gone for the Steak Pis by the way. Fair play to you for rying something different.
That is one place I must call at sometime I have watched a number of reviews for it on TH-cam and they all love it. I think the success is down to doing just one thing the homemade meat pie instead of a menu with many different items so they have got pie making down to a fine art far superior to mass produced pies that are sold in supermarkets. Great video what about a mini series of reviews from the south coast I love the english coast far better than going to foreign parts and all the hassle that goes with it.
I love mint sauce on my peas 🫛 in the morning , tastes like …………Victory 😀 Staying down the coast next July and will visit Whitby to your recommendations Mr Deano 👍🏻
I must admit this place is the business and the food is usually good quality The custard Is a bit ropey and could be better . The prices a few years ago, went from £6.99 and jumped to £11.99 Per pie & mash. As mentioned, the place is well worth a visit. Thanks for sharing 😊👍
Whilst it was a bit expensive considering the surroundings, it is a good visit for a special occasion, although I would not normally pay that much for pie and mash with peas.
The cobble path is called the donkey path.. The donkeys were brought down to the beach on the west side of town from the Jackie field which is infront of the youth hostel.
Never been to whitby didnt realise what a beauty it was ..loved evething a this blog apart from ....hendo,s ..u never heard come on man us blades swear by it
I'm lucky enough to have discovered this gem in Whitby around six years ago. The ultimate comfort food restaurant I've ever visited.
Just wanted to say how much I enjoy your videos. They're not only food reviews it's the showing of different places that I would never see. Good videos and good editing.
Goodnight Sweetheart is the program 👍🏻

Fantastic review! So glad you had such a great time in Whitby. It was where my late grandmother was born.
That's what you call proper food, Deano! You wouldn't get that pie in Iceland. Great atmosphere as well. I kept expecting to see a Vera Lynn pop in for a chicken and cider pie. It's also been a great Whitby series. I've enjoyed watching it.

Looks great 👍 👍 hungry now 🤤 glad you enjoyed it 😋
A man in paradise 😊 . even an old fashioned angel singing to you 😊
Been in there, yeah very highly recommended. The steep cobble street advert was actually filmed in Dorset!
At Gold Hill in Shaftsbury. Walked up it once, and I mean once.
Fantastic place, Deano!

Nice video deano, very interesting and better than the other boring reviews by other people around that town👍
Glad you enjoyed it
I only live down the road from the pie & mash shop and I’ve never even tried it.
Looks tasty so I’m definitely gonna have to give it a go 😋👌👍
Looked proper that mate!
My mum use to do sage and onion stuffing in an enamel dish. (what a vision) coming back to that.
Great review Deano chap, your food looked scrumptious 😋😋👌lovely oldie worldie shop. Never been to Whitby I’ll will now one day looks a lovely town…..

No wonder now that you only had a small cod at Trenchers. You must have been full to the brim with that delicious home-made meal.
The Hovis advert was filmed in Shaftesbury on Gold Hill in Dorset.
Ahhh right. I must be mistaken then. Was there ever a bread advert filmed in Haworth?
Deano, if you type in "A grand ride" on here, there was an advert made in Howarth that's similar to the Hovis ad... but it was made for the Tour de Yorkshire I think, so a good few years ago 👍

I loved everything about that shop. I would have bought some of those pies to take home.

My God Deano i was all over that menu, the pies looked cracking as did the soft drinks!!! Like a big kid 😅
That looked so much better a meal than the Trencher's Fish and Chips you had later. Proper pies made with love and served with nostalgia. What is there not to love? I would have gone for the Steak Pis by the way. Fair play to you for rying something different.
Quirky little cafe, grub looked ok, apparently they used to make their own pies but not anymore 😕.

Thanks for sharing 😊👍
Jackson’s butchers is in Ruswarp about 2 miles from Whitby, fabulous butchers!!
So enjoyed that dinner. 😊
Thank you.
That weird background piano music reminds me of Les Dawson!
Whilst it was a bit expensive considering the surroundings, it is a good visit for a special occasion, although I would not normally pay that much for pie and mash with peas.
Worth every penny
The Hovis bread ad was filmed on Gold Hill...in Shaftesbury in Dorset. 😃
Goodnight Sweetheart 😆
The Hovis ad was filmed on Gold Hill in Shafterbury in Wiltshire
To help you out, the vintage game you saw on the pie shop shelf, table quoits is pronounced coyts.
Looked better than steak and chips .. . You didn't leave me any 😂was gagging for piece of that pie
The cobble path is called the donkey path..
The donkeys were brought down to the beach on the west side of town from the Jackie field which is infront of the youth hostel.
Good night sweetheart I think is the TV show your thinking of can't beat the old days keep up your videos
