    Hey! Amazing! I’ve been watching your K2700-on-PC4 videos and I’ve found them very useful as I’m intending to buy a K2700 soon. I have a 24 year old Yamaha S80 which I need to replace as the keybed is just beginning to show signs of age. I don’t want to lose it but it’s not economic to get it repaired or serviced. S80 is a great keyboard.

    This synth STILL sounds more warm and natural to me than the Motifs that followed.

    @Kaffimusic Thanks! I was looking at the s30 in search for a good all-purpose keyboard to put on the 2nd tier and I was wondering if the piano sound was usable, as I don't like the Yamaha piano in the Motif classic or p200 digipiano series. If it can sound like this with some tweaking, it'll be fine!

    First piano patch is amazing. Is it factory patch, or custom? I am thinking to buy S80 which is same as S30 but 88 keys with piano feeling.

    Does the first dark/bright piano make use of the PLG board?

    Anyone looking to make your own pedal wah effect, just used AUTO WAH and turn to LFO to 0, then assign your FC to the cutoff freq within the AUTO WAH insert effect, set you depth and you've got a killer pedal wah effect.

      Hello and sorry for the late answer. I don´t lock into YT very often. I can´t remember fi that was a PLG card-based sound or if it was from the S30 itself. I can say the S30 has such a bright piano in it´s own sample-ROM, I just don´t remember if it was taken from there, or if it came from the PLG-card

    I've a Roland d50, could the s30 be a good workstation to combine them???..(i'd like to know about the drum sounds and the sequencer of the s30...).
    Thanx a lot...

      Patrick Martin Hello, I sold it roughly 2 years ago, so I can just tell you from what I remeber - or according my opinion.
      It might complement - or better surpass - the sound of a D50 easily. There are many years of developement between those, not only the brand. The S30 has more temporary sounds, and a much wider variety in keyboard and other sound imitations, like the D50 can´t do. So yes, it would complement it since it does things the D50 can´t. But it has no sequencer (as far as I recall), but it has lots of arpeggios to choose from. By factory they are used for drums and instruments the same. Drums are okay, not less, not more. The S30 is not really a workstation but more like a low end stage-instrument or studio soundpool. If you need a more contemporary machine with good sequencer, look out for a classic Motif or Motif ES. You get more of what you need in better quality, regarding hard- and soundware.

      +Patrick Martin hi. when i play the s30 all the keys works individually.. but when i play a lower octave G, the following G on other octaves has no sound. same with Eb note. do u have an idea?

      +Jade Pascual Hello. I´d say your instrument needs a professional check up.

    I hear complaints all over the place that the s30 has "absolutely terrible keys", but you seem to be playing them pretty comfortably and naturally, what's your take on them?

    • @Kaffimusic
      @Kaffimusic  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      vforvillain77 They are really cheap. Super easy touch with close to zero feedback. They work but don´t really give you the feel to play something worthy. However, there are even cheaper ones on some home-keyboards. I never learned to play piano and I am more into plastic keys (but seriously better quality), so I was able to live with that. It was a secondary machine.

      i have one. and i used it for band rehearsal and its light. almost same sounds on motif sounds. my motif is heavy so the s30 does the job for rehearsals and even on some small parties.

    The S30 couldn't be EASIER to set up a FC and use it to trigger leslie. Assign FC to FC in UTILITY then go t oyur organ patch, press edit and assign FC to leslie speed and set a depth amount, and your done.
