I painted the pillars on mine red and used it as a Slime Pit for MOTU Snake Men.
It's amazing how that 15 years old slime still works! There is a little bit of a "slime trend" here in Italy this year, with many brands hitting news stands with their own slime canisters, but I've found only one that seems to have the same consistency as Mattel's one.
Here in Brazil,slime was famous since i was born,we Called them"geleleca" or even "amoeba",and this year the new kids discovered it again on youtube,but now every kid call it as slime,feels a little bit cringy,because they don't even know what they are saying,so i'm getting a little annoyed with this word
My best friend bought me this back when it came out specifically because he knew it would work with my 200X He-Man figs and I am very pleased you showed that in this video ;)
My favorite part of this toy was the snake head! I used to take it with me everywhere! I thought it was so fierce and I'd terrorize my cousins with it but hiding around corners and having the snake "bite" their ankles. This is peak nostalgia for me!
My mum bought me this set by mistake as a kid in the 2000's and I loved using this with my 200x figures! I would imagine that this was part of Snake Mountain were Skeletor would take his prisoners for interogation,well until He-Man,Stratos and Man-At-Arms showed up!
I used to have this playset. I remember taking the snake head and hiding it in various areas of the house like cabinets or the shower and I’d wait for someone to happen upon it. Used to scare the crap out of them and I’d get in so much trouble...so worth it lol

I always wanted this playset! 😭 But now I'm an adult and I can just buy it! 😱

I never really relized that Dan has a point the Harry Potter toys really did grow up with the fan base as the movies moved forward
when say this way back when I thought to but cause made me think of the old Slime pit.
I wonder if mattel recycles this playset for there jurassic world toyline, there is dino slime coming out? but im not sure if its by mattel or some other toy company?

I dont get this i mean its says 5+ on the Box and you say its for kids BUT Marvel legends says 4+ on the Box and thats for adults?

got myself this playset earlier this year and love it. The slime it came with is still good and it Glows in the Dark, another feature I know you like. the playset Glows in the Dark too, the green slime molded in the back and the the white streaks of paint on the snake head and sides of the playset glow pretty well

ah yes, I remember that scene in the Chamber of Secrets, where a giant stone snake poured Colgate all over Harry, don't you remember that scene? it was awesome!
oh man, what a throwback. My cousin and I used to play with this all the time when we were kids.
I had this set. Was fun but the green slime congealed after a few uses and became just a ball that would fall and thud to the chamber floor lol

The Pit itself came with a tub of green slime. I opened mine this year for the first time and it was still good.
Yep, I mentioned that in the video. Mine dried out, though. I opened it when I got it back in 2002 so it eventually evaporated.

good review. I agree with you. The mattel slime is the best and i cant belive it is still good because that"s older than the tmnt 2012 slime and it was getting very sticky.

i feel like if they made a new slime pit for the 200x MOTU cartoon ,this is kinda what it would look like.
The evil horde slim pit was NOT a He-Man play set. It was from SHE-RA. Same universe but different cartoon.

+Pixel Dan (The Pixel Dan Channel) the green slime would glow That came with it and I believe the blue slime might have too
I remember after a few days the slime would suddenly become less slimy and ripped me off.

@@libbycouch9923 Mostly because of JK Rowling herself.She went back and made a whole lot of retcons to her books cannon that are extremely left leaning.Rather you believes in that stuff or not it's guaranteed to automatically alienate half of you fan base.Another reason is a problem a lot of fandoms have where some members of the fan base are extremely toxic and even though most people who love the books and the movies aren't, just are not as vocal as the members that are. Which looks bad on everyone.Even though I'm not a big fan of Harry Potter, I am a big Star Wars fan which is gonna though a similar faze.
