My grandmother was a murphy she was a secret courier for the Lord mayor of cork Thomas Mac Curtain she used to hide the messages in her hair she was brought in to the RIC barracks twice by the black and tans she was 16 years old at the time she remembered the burning of cork City in December of 1920 she would tell us stories about those times she was an amazing women we were so proud of her she died in 2000 aged 96 and as a proud cork women I can relate to this movie so well
