It's good that you pointed out about having Family/Friends. Kahit ano mang lugar ang mapili niyo sa Canada, ang importante ay meron kayong support group. Napaka hirap magumpisa ng magisa dito sa North America kung saan lahat ng tao ay napaka-independent. My advice to all newcomers is have an open mind at mag-tiyaga lang. Masaya sa umpisa pag bagong dating sa Canada until you realize na maraming aspeto ng pamumuhay at kultura na salungat sa nakagawian natin. There will come a time when you will be depressed, guaranteed yan, pero like I said ang importante may support group kayo.

tama po maganda din po talaga sa vancouver pero sobrang maulan din :) . sa toronto naman eh sobrang lamig pa din. but ang alam ko po talaga na advantage nilang dalawa is meron po silang beach although malamig din naman mag swimming pero sand po siya hindi parang putik gaya ng sa atin.

Thanks for sharing guys. Unlike you, hindi kami nagresearch when we moved. But thank God, things turned out well. Suggestion ko, gain some Canadian experience in Calgary then move to Toronto. Yun nga lang, housing would be the issue. Its either you buy outside of Toronto/GTA or move to a condo. Goodluck!
Agree with everything you mentioned. Although I don't live in Calgary, I heard the same complaints from others. Yes, the standard of living in Toronto is high where I live, but you work your way up and in time, the money you will earn align's with cost of living. Toronto by far is the best city. Everything you mentioned and more is here. Thanks for sharing.

in 2005 pinili ko pumunta sa toronto pero lumipat ako ng calgary in 9 months....super boom kse oil and gas that time, almost every company may hiring sign sa harap. almost nag double ang population dahil sa dami ng lumipat from different provinces...kinailangan pa mag import ng calgary police from UK and also few officers from china dahil sobrang hirap mag hire locally....iba na siguro now
hello emma…british columbia is to ontario (province to province) and vancouver is to toronto (city to city), not BC and Toronto yung comparison. Hope you’ll visit Niagara Falls in Ontario someday, it’s approximately 1.5 hrs drive from Toronto

Oh yeah they can go minus 50C in MB! At one point same here in Edmonton, all schools were closed! But we still went to work! Do not choose Canada if you don't want cold weather! Go to California. But that's another topic.

mas mabilis ang buses sa toronto kung sa mga main routes na commercial areas. kung sa residential areas matagal din
Tama kayo maganda sa Toronto at Vancouver, pero mahirap makabili ng bahay. If plan na mag rent for life then ok.

Lagi namang naulan sa BC mataas ang cost of living pinakamahal ang gas sa buong Canada sa Calgary pinakamura ang gas kasi may oil sila sa Ft.Mcmurray.
