I watched this jet perform today at the Trenton airshow. The pilot did an amazing job. He flew for about 15 minutes or so, and blew everyone in the audience away.
The audio quality is so close to the real thing, minus your chest vibrating! This makes me really miss being there in-person at the Miramar air show. They had F-22, F-16, F-18, Blue Angels and more and they fly so close to the crowds it's really crazy.
Great sound quality!!!..... im local to VaBeach been in the area my entire life... its fun to see people react to this kinda stuff ... since its pretty normal for us lol..!!!
Jason Yoast I know I used to live there for 20 years. Also had some neighbors who were part of the Seal Team! Impressive stuff meeting people like that face to face!
In VA Beach itself we have Oceana, but few miles away is Langley AF base... not uncommon to see pretty much anything in the air over Hampton Roads en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Langley_Air_Force_Base
The sound in this video is amazing, very high quality. thumbs up!! i love The f-22. I live in Holland myself, but man, i would do everything to watch one of these in reallife :)
Raymond Fee they will never use this American jet however you might be able to catch an air show with it in it we come up there often idk about Netherlands
An F-15 nearly crashed on me in VB oceanfront in the late 90s. I could see the pilots name on the side of aircraft and was temporarily deaf for 15 minutes.
It never gets old to me but seeing aircraft like that is pretty common in that area or in DC. They are flight testing F18s close by so sometimes they give the tourists a show. A lot of locals are used to it almost like an expensive car or something.
Nah he was using burners at some parts of the video. He did a J-turn which is a maneuver the Raptors do at every air show so it's safe to assume the pilot was practicing for an airshow, and during airshows where they fly this maneuver they always use burners. You're right about the speed though, they aren't allowed to go supersonic above ground until they reach a certain height, the sonic boom breaks windows (and can damage ears/scare the shit out of people)
Someone should have directed this gentleman about 6.5 miles SW of the oceanfront to Oceana Naval Air Station. He’d have seen them up close and personal there!
Well your advice comes a bit late Luna Rose since this air show occurred back on June 1st, 2014. But more importantly, I used to live by the Oceana Naval Air Station and have visited there many times seeing these "masterpice flying monsters" while grounded . And I'll enlighten you that by being at the Naval air base that day, I would NOT have seen the air "show" that was casted over the Virginia Beach Oceanfront which is infinitely more impressive than the pilots prepping to take off on the Naval Station runway on that particular day, June 1st, 2014.
If you want to see them more often all ya have to do is drive up to Hampton around 7am. The Raptors take off at Langley AFB almost every morning around 7:30. It's a nice alarm for me.
I saw the Raptor during testing in Marietta, GA in early 2000. It came out of no where, vertical beside my car, he had the weapons bay doors opened... scared the s**t out of me it was so close to my car.. Lockheed dropped it from 3 stories high on purpose... it took a nice bounce but kept on going!!! We make great stuff, no doubt. Great catch, wish I was there in person. Thanks for sharing...
"It was an F-18 or an F-22 or something...maybe an F-16? How about an F-15. Possibly an F-4? Maybe an A-6. Could have been a P-51 or possibly, quite possibly a Sopwith Camel! Aurora maybe?
The Sight, Speed and Sound in person is unfeckin-believable. Insanely Loud and they appear from nowhere. Truly Shocking & Amazing at the same time. I live near the Burbank California Airport and 3 flew over my house about five seconds apart today, and it scared the "F" out of me and everyone in my neighborhood. I thought we were being attacked by North Korea. FFS
First flight 1997, imagine what they have now ? Imagine what no one knows about. Yet media say China Russia a contest. 😂😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂😂😂 Reagan gave the world gps, who does that with out an antidote. USA USA 🇺🇸.
Saw my first F22 at an airshow a few years ago, never seen a plane maneuver like that it was incredible . The sound is just overwhelming in person.
You don’t just hear the sound, you legitimately FEEL it throughout your whole body, it’s incredible!
I wish more people had this guys sense of enthusiasm.
when control tower tells you that you have a 5 minute que before landing
😂😂😂😂

I watch this every other week. Great sound!
1:48 "That's an F-22 or something, or maybe an F something else" 😂

Love his reaction
I live just under a mile from the boardwalk, and let me tell ya, I love me some jet noise.
On display... THE BEST AIR FORCE IN THE WORLD...🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
That’s the most beautiful sound gives me goosebumps 🔥🔥
Thank you for the video and your reaction was great.
That " thing " is the best fighter on the planet

thumbs up!! i love The f-22.

You will. I am nearly certain the Nederland's use American jets so it only a matter of time before they are near you.
Raymond Fee they will never use this American jet however you might be able to catch an air show with it in it we come up there often idk about Netherlands
I live near an air force base and hear and see these jets every day. It's awesome gearing the reactions of other people :)
Just be glad he didn’t come closer at full speed 🤣🤣🤣
Yeah I saw that thing at the air show in my city I thought oh man this is gonna be loud!
An F-15 nearly crashed on me in VB oceanfront in the late 90s. I could see the pilots name on the side of aircraft and was temporarily deaf for 15 minutes.
I live in Arizona and constantly see jet fighters flying over my house and it reminds me of how AWESOME it is to be an AMERICAN😊🇺🇸

I'm amazed that some people are just walking without paying attention to this glorious spectacle. They are like zombies or something...
It never gets old to me but seeing aircraft like that is pretty common in that area or in DC. They are flight testing F18s close by so sometimes they give the tourists a show. A lot of locals are used to it almost like an expensive car or something.
Still loving this!
Just beautiful you can’t blame them the most lethal fighter in the world
Just think, he isn't even close to afterburner or top speed. Like he's maybe at 30% right now.
Nah he was using burners at some parts of the video. He did a J-turn which is a maneuver the Raptors do at every air show so it's safe to assume the pilot was practicing for an airshow, and during airshows where they fly this maneuver they always use burners. tf u taling about?
If the f22 was full power he’d poop himself 🤣
Oceana NAS is right behind the beach. Pretty common to see flight ops.
Someone should have directed this gentleman about 6.5 miles SW of the oceanfront to Oceana Naval Air Station. He’d have seen them up close and personal there!

The pilots are probably having more fun doing stuff line this than the spectators. The best part of VA beach.

What an aircraft!
It's a f 14 tomcat live at the oceanfront it's stationed at oceana home of the jolly rogers
awsome f22 raptor with full afterburners open
Worth every penny. Merica
Amazing. Thanks for sharing
US guys may got pride to possess the Raptor.

This is Virginia Beach normal all year.
And he'll turn around and come back really low to scare the living shit out of the people. You could envy those pilots, muchly!
God dammit those pilots live to show off haha
i would as well if behind that perfection.
at 2:19 your hear all sound blank out and literally just hear the engines roar
I agree, it is really loud and it is a beautiful aircraft. I guess that's why the Taliban fear it it most
Kevin L they don’t fear it because it’s air to air the reason they don’t fear it is because any tally that has seen is most likely dead now
They don’t fear us after we ran away
F22 amazing!
Amazing.
U.S.A.F. F-22A Raptor 70,000 lb of thrust full afterburner max speed mach 2.25 1,500 mph
I am Canadian and I know that sound. There is no sound like the Raptor. The worlds most feared combat aircraft
Usually you dont get to see an f-22. Usually you're dead way before.
Unless your at an air show as I was. 😎
All those people walking around unfazed will be there first to go in the event of an apocalypse...
Umm sir, I know I’m late, but that’s joint forces Langley Eustis, not NAS
