I had a reflecting plastic that one placed vertically with to holders and you put the drawing on one side and drew it on the other side. This was when I was a 9 year old in 1982.
i realize this is an older vid' but in case others are considering getting one of these? i can't understand why someone is whining in the comments because they couldn't figure out how to increase the size of the image? i jst move my subject closer or farther from the eye piece. this was extremely easy and fun to use. thanks for sharing the vid

Thank you for the video, very informative. I currently have the NEOLUCIDA and not a very patient person!!. All the jiggling etc really turns me off. I’m am interested in getting the XL but don’t want another goose neck, is it possible to just get the head only?.
Mine arrived today. I'm having problems seeing the tip of the pencil on the subject's edges and my drawing comes out off. I placed the shade piece on the bottom and tried it in front as well and still get the same result. Any suggestions?
Have you resolved your problem? This was the very first thing I thought of when watching a few videos. ..is how do you see the actual subject on your surface? And move the pencil or instrument your using to draw?
Is there something wrong with the "Sound-track"???? I keep hearing a weird, cricket like "chirping" sound! It is very distracting and is almost as loud as your voice. My suggestion? Please re-shot this entire video, with someone knowledgeable doing your sound recording. Thus we can all enjoy and LEARN FROM your experience. THANK YOU !!!
Your presentation is deceptive First of all, you should have said that the Lucisa XL is set up to yield miniatures. If you've found a way to make 18"x16" reproductions using this over-hyped toy, speak up and show it. I'm no math major, but it looks like this child's toy reduces everything it copies to 1/4 of the size the artist sees. Since whoever makes this fails to warn the consumer, I call bull $hit on them. I'm aware that if you increase the length of the "goose neck", you get a bigger reproduction, but I don't want to stand up and trace. Here's your chance, s. ranellearts, show us your work-around, or be more candid about the limitations of this ninny tool.

I think the digital art projectors are the best. The price is over 7O0 hundred for the highest quality one. It had grids, and so many functions ...
