Some good tips. I'm a scrapper who goes scrapping on my bike. I do okay tho. I only take cable, copper and brass. I'm new to Youtubing but not scrapping. Always happy to support a fellow scrapper. Greetings from Dublin. Liked and subbed.
I just subscribed and have been watching a lot of your videos. I came across your channel as I have been researching and just starting to get into scrapping. Your channel is one of the best for beginners to learn and this video in particular is extremely helpful for the sorting process. Thanks for the time you take to post videos and keep up the great work!!
Sometimes it can be hard to tell the difference between aluminum and stainless so if you take a grinder and grind it aluminum does not spark Stainless does.
Phones on full blast and can barely hear u for the first minute plus. Hate missing out on an education from my go too's. Can u please be aware of that in the future. Your wisdom is invaluable.
Thank you very much for your channel and all the knowledge I've learned the last few months binge watching everyone of your videos! When it comes to actually tearing scrap apart you have by far the best scrap channel! Cheers ♻🌎👍
That little aluminum red handle on that water fixture with the copper on it they’re worth about a dollar apiece on eBay plus shipping I’ve been saving mine if you look at my most recent videos you’ll see the ones I just found
Hello! So I sell Electronics and I don't want to be a full-time scrapper, but I have many items that don't work and I want to be able to kearn what to scrap and what to recycle, suggestions? I have several broken phones, controllers, hdmi cords, consoles, etc.
Tin man, I have an old lamp that looks brass, but when I scratch it, it is silver. Did they make stainless lamps that was painted to look like brass? How can I tell what it is?
Could be pewter or stainless steel. If you hit it with a grinder and sparks stainless. If does not spark could be cast aluminum even. Either way, not brass if revealing metallic underneath.
Not at our yards in Ont. but perhaps you could sell Online to places like boardsource.com as electronic waste? Not sure, but personally I would snip off and add to my gold pins, chips, etc gold recovery pile
Actually just brought in a load of extrusion and it said on website $1.01 clean extrusion (per 100 pounds), but because I had 60ish pounds I got $.60 lb.
stainless -- there 3 grades of ss. only 1 is non magnetic , the others contain various amounts of faris material making them magnetic. that brass water valve contains steel rubber & pot metal as shown.
Love your work boots. I wear the same 24/7. Everyone busts my chops but hey, if your careful and comfy I don't see the issue.

Thanks for the sub! Thanks for watching as well. Stay well and happy scrapping
What about gold plated audio cable? Should that be separated? Do they pay different for that?
Not at our yards in Ont. but perhaps you could sell Online to places like boardsource.com as electronic waste? Not sure, but personally I would snip off and add to my gold pins, chips, etc gold recovery pile
Hard to find yards that pay price for extruded or clip aluminum
Actually just brought in a load of extrusion and it said on website $1.01 clean extrusion (per 100 pounds), but because I had 60ish pounds I got $.60 lb.
Nice vid! Be aware of brass, plumbing brass and ... red brass. great that you explained this.
What is the price difference between bare
Bright copper and insulated bare bright wire ?
Bare bright is about $3.20 right now and insulted wire with bare bright....like Rome’s is $1.25
It also depends on thickness
Tin Man Okk
Tin Man what is Rome’s ?
Tin Man per kilo or pound?
Nice video
Thank you for watching and the kind words. Stay well and thanks for the support.

Thank you, I know that the brass water valve has steel, that is why I said I need to clean it up first.
