The Celtics were a turnover machine late in the playoffs, and lost several games because Tatum was ice cold and Brown couldn't get up. The end result was Smart taking bad shot after bad shot. Adding Brogdon gives them another source of scoring and ball movement, and will hopefully bring more level headedness to late game situations. As a green teamer I couldn't be happier with this pickup

With the Brogdon trade and Gallo signing, this is the potential line up for Boston:
    PG - Smart
    SG - Brown
    SF - Tatum
    PF - Horford
    C - R. Williams III
    6th - Brogdon
    7th - Gallinari
    8th - White
    9th - G. Williams
    10th - Pritchard
    11th - Hauser
    12th - Kornet
    13th - Davison
    Notes:
    - Deep, versatile on both ends, adressed the needs on playmaking and shooting and can compete for another run in the finals potentially the championship.
-Still has roster spots to fill
-They could still add another impact player with veteran minimum or the juicy 17M TPE
-How will Tatum (23) and Brown's (25) continuing growth can impact this team for years to come.
    Edit:
-based on reports, Smart will still be the starting PG and Brogdon will a bench role as a possible 6th man in the rotation.

The Pacers had no room for Brogdon, he doesn't fit the timeline that they're trying to build. Plus Brogdon is injury prone he can't stay healthy, he couldn't play over 40 games a season with the Pacers. And the people saying we got robbed is bs. We have more cap space, which we should be going after Ayton in a sign in trade, so it helps even more. I believe we have 3 first Rd picks for next year, plus we can develop Nesmith to improve his game. So both teams got what they wanted, I'm happy as a Pacers fan

Im not sure if they need a True point guard. And it seems like they are not looking for one either. There are just teams like that. Like the Clippers, or Dallas, or Bucks, and others. With Galo also there, this could be the best team upgrade so far overall. In this era of positionless basketball, most teams does not necessarily need true point guards, true centers, and true position of players. Most teams are looking for 3nD guys, or multiple position type of players.

A lot of those turnovers were forced turnovers by the Warriors defense, not carelessness with the basketball. Brogdon is a great addition to come off the bench and just have that other option as a facilitator, and Gallinari gives them some spacing and a little more offensive output off the bench. A great off season for the Celtics who've decided to strengthen rather than drastically change the formula. Everything will be down to Brown and Tatum's continued development because they need both of them, especially Tatum, to go up a level.

Malcom on the Pacers was a 1/2 option. On the Celtics he’ll be a 3/4 option. Hes good and i think he helps the Celtics but I think people are over exaggerating his skills an ability a little. He hadnt played a full season ever due to injury. His defense isnt as good as everybody thinks either. Personally though hes a great dude and a great leader. I do think he helps the Celtics and i think hes gonna bring more leadership and great teammate qualities. Itll be interesting to see how things unfold
And also Perk is crazy for saying Malcom is a Bentley. Malcom is more like a stock v6 Mustang

Most of the Celtics moves have been smart, signing Rob williams and Smart to those insanely team friendly deals, Same with Jaylen brown, Getting lucky JT didnt make all NBA few years ago saved Celtics $30Million, enough to make moves to get help for them to win a title. I dont see anyone on the roster that is overpaid, Unlike Gobert, Towns, bradley Beals, who are so vastly overpaid for their on court production. Jokic is a 2-time MVP so he earned that Supermax extension and hope nuggets can crush the warriors next year, but i doubt it!

uh we NEED to take the ball out of brown and tatums hands more. we need a pg thats more of a scoring threat who can initiate, and buy them a 1 on 1 or a mismatch by the time they get the ball. brown and tatum should get the same number of touches, but they should be dribbling less per touch. brown can improve his handle, but tatum is like 6’10. he already has a good handle for his size. the guards just should be better at taking pressure off of him if our offense is to improve.
