Hi sir, highly informative. So, i have several questions that needs your input:
    1) if i have an indoor filter already, ie; e-spring, would it be alright if i were to use a gravel filter instead? Since per standard, gravel filters have capabilities to filter particles up to 5microns, what are the possibilities that my indoor filter will be affected by the remaining impurities?
    2) Understand that malaysia's water pressure is around 60-80psig (4~5 bar), at what point does it fall to a certain pressure such that the filter will not function? how does a low pressure at P1 inlet affect the backwash capabilities of the filter?
    3) Usually, from my understanding, it is best for outdoor filter to only filter out sediments while maintaining the chlorine in the water so that bacteria will not propagate in water tanks/storage. With membrane filters, the filtration of 0.01micron will remove the chlorine?
    4) if my outdoor filters are fitted well.. outdoors, will it be prone to thieft in due time? i saw how easy it was to unscrew a filter manually.

    • @ATKCeWarehouse
      @ATKCeWarehouse  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      1) Sand filters work between 20-40micron, and most indoor drinking filter will be filtering down to 0.2micron. Without an outdoor filter, the dirt/sediment will be exhausting your indoor filter. If the installed outdoor filter failed, the chances are small particles and impurities will be flowing into your indoor filter, decreasing the lifespan of your cartridge.
      2) I can’t clarify this, but I have seen sand filters still working well at 2~3bar. However, if the filter beds are stucked/congested with dirt/sediment without periodically backwashing, this might cause less water output.
      3) Only those outdoor water filters, with “activated carbon” are able to “reduce” the chlorine level. I found some useful information here:
How to Remove Chlorine from Water?
      a. Reverse Osmosis water filtration systems that incorporate carbon block filters are an effective way to remove up to 98% of chlorine in water. ...
      b. Heating up water to a boil will speed up the chlorine removal process.
      4) It is possible, as one just has to cut off the connected pipe lines and remove the sand filter. Again, it does require 2 persons to carry it. So far, this case is rarely.
Please share me your thoughts, so we can learn together as well.

    Tq for this informative video.
1.Recently I found my freshly machine -washed towels trapping a lot of very fine pinkish grains of what feel like sand and some bit of fibrous matter.
My outdoor Waterman sand filter is almost 30 years old.😅
Is it possible that the sand might have gotten into my washing machine and got deposited on my towels?
    2. What would happen if I accidentally rinsed and then only backwashed my Waterman instead of the other way round?
Would greatly appreciate your reply. TQ.
