In Double/Triple/Quadruple - Marker Test, it might show as 'Increased Risk' for Down Syndrome but that is NOT Conclusive. It shows the risk probability or risk chances. At the age of 35 the Average Risk of having Down Syndrome is 1/250. If Pregnancy happens Before the 35 Years of age, Risk is on the lower side and after 35 Years, the risk is on the higher side. So let's say at the age of 35 Years you went for Quadruple Test and your Quadruple Marker Test Report showed 'Increased Risk' with Risk Value as 1/100; that means chances for your baby might have Down syndrome is 1/100. If that is the case, you should consider NIPT test. This has more than 99% accuracy to detect Down Syndrome (and for some other Chromosomal Abnormalities ). But even NIPT is NOT 100% accurate. If your NIPT test also shows High Risk for Down Syndrome then you should go for some Diagnostic Tests to be 100% Sure (Amniocentesis/CVS/Or Some Other Diagnostic Tests).
Finally, 90 out of 100 reports (90%cases) which showed Positive Results (Increased Risk) in the Quadruple Test; they turned out to be 'Negative' (Low Risk) in the NIPT Screening Test. Also, 5 out of 10 reports (50%cases) which showed Positive Results (Increased Risk) in the NIPT Screening Test; they turned out to be 'Negative' (Low Risk) in the Amniocentesis Diagnostic Test .

I am on my 20th week now.. first scan report said nasal bone couldn't be visible .. did scan again it said it's there but small 4.2 mm now waiting fr NIPT result and dual marker report had low risk.. let's see praying to God to keep all okay .. let's hope 🙏🌟
