I don’t care if I’m first, just extremely happy to see Cooper anytime. He’s the best. Thanks for making my day. I Love Cooper! Thanks for taking him out on a hike. He wouldn’t be there if it weren’t for you either It didn’t look as hot as it probably actually was out there. Still a beautiful day to be outdoors.
Hi Bill!..and Cooper of course! It's great to see you two out and about again..we've missed you guys! Looks like a beautiful hike, all the very best from both of us. David
Thank you for coming along with Cooper and me. This one is our favorite together. Lots of teamwork on this one, and we were step-in-step. Happy to know you enjoyed the views.
Ha ha you noticed others. We let so many go by to isolate the scenery. This was a very popular day - sunny, cooler breeze - a bluebird day. The perfect day for this hike. We all enjoyed the lake at the top, and that was special, in a community of hikers sort of way.
Hi Bill - a really good vigorous hike in I'd say. It was undulating and somewhat testing but with great views. I noticed Cooper was keen but knackered later by the lake. A sign of a good time. Well, a successful trip out. All the best. Mark
Thank you both so much for sharing this with us. A beautiful way to end a great Mothers Day, even if raining here. The stills of Cooper were fantastic. I happen to enjoy stills or even sort slideshows embedded in videos. The area is so stunning it takes my breath away. Thank you again Sir. Actually we share the same first name though I use a childhood name for most social media. Just a note I guess., I only mention to friends.
I appreciate the input on stills. (Was never sure viewers would like them). Coming from you means a lot. Thank you my friend! We have heavy rain here tonight. It keeps the creeks flowing in the mountains where Cooper and I like to go... B
Beaudiful, awesome scenery just breathtaking! I was missing your videos so I came over to see ya, hoping you were still around, miss Cooper too, glad you guys are still walking hope all is well with you and your family. Take care Bill.
So happy to see you come by for a visit Karen, thank you! We are still walking and we, my family, are all very well. Please tell you and yours are as well too. Hope to see you on a video soon. Take care Karen.
Nice long hike, very warm weekends we’ve been having. I should’ve joined you on this. I’ve never done this hike, I assume it is on the Mountain Loop. I’ve been torturing myself on St Helens for the last two weekends.
If you strapped a Go-Pro on a goat I think you would get a very similar video, only with a less interesting commentary. :-D I don't think I could hike that trail, I'm sure I couldn't right now because I spent the winter on the couch and I'm just now getting back into shape. However, even if I was fit enough to make that climb, my ankles would not hold up on a trail that rough. That view was majestic though, thanks for sharing it with us.
lol - Cooper the Goat! We are still working off our couch hours too. I did go light for this one - I do hear you on knees and ankles. Happy to see your comment, always. Take care out there Buddy!
That looks like a great tough hike. Amazing views up there. Crisp camera footage, but weird at the same time. The rocks and individual parts of the footage was moving separately from the rest. I seriously doubt it was actually moving. Something was very wrong with the footage. Odd. New camera?
Video you're seeing - you noticed - thanks for asking. This was a repost. Removed the music, restored the original audio, and used digital image stabilization to minimize camera shake. It was such an awesome hike with Cooper, I just had to restore it to what we did together and share it with you my viewers.
Yes - I am more than happy to... Appreciate you asking and watching. www.wta.org/go-hiking/hikes/gothic-basin Driving direction: Take Highway 92 to its end in Granite Falls. At the T intersection near the east end of town, turn left onto the Mountain Loop Highway. Follow this road 11 miles to the Verlot Ranger Station for maps, permits, and latest trail information. 19.3 miles past the ranger station is Barlow Pass and the end of paved road. Here you will find a parking lot on the left (north) side of the road.
Great question, appreciate you asking! It is by design. On Cooper's harness, there on his leash loop, we have clipped-on, a tick key, dog tag, and an aluminum emergency info. capsule. The 3 metal objects together put out a very good "approaching" sound and if lost/found information from Cooper. You are the first one to ask - good one!
Hi Jan, happy to tell you about the boots. I use a Vibram sole hiking boot, made by Vasque. They are named Breeze GTX. You may already know Vibram soles. Very aggressive tread to grab rocky surfaces for traction. Appreciate you asking and watching!
We backpack in US Forest Service, Department of Agriculture National Forests and out of respect for others outdoors sharing this trail and as a sensible regulation that Cooper and I agree with, dogs must be on a leash. Appreciate you asking, watching and commenting.

So happy to have you along. And yes, Cooper is the best, and on this one too I must say : )

Thank you for coming along with Cooper and me. This one is our favorite together. Lots of teamwork on this one, and we were step-in-step. Happy to know you enjoyed the views.
I was first to like. Missed Cooper.
Appreciate the first like. Cooper is not going anywhere, except backpacking with all of us...
Bill another great adventure thanks to you and Cooper.

Love watching your videos! We too have an adventuring cocker spaniel named Gunner ☺️ they really are the best dogs! Have a wonderful day!
So unusual to see/hear other hikers in one of your videos! What a grand landscape you have to explore with Cooper.
Ha ha you noticed others. We let so many go by to isolate the scenery. This was a very popular day - sunny, cooler breeze - a bluebird day. The perfect day for this hike. We all enjoyed the lake at the top, and that was special, in a community of hikers sort of way.

Haha, Cooper was a trooper on this one. Great views with rocks to scale is how this one summed-up - loads of fun. The best to you out there Mark.

Hey! lol! Justin! Yes Mt. Loop. Oh yeah torture St. Helens, lucky dog!
Pretty sure I know that trail. I've never hiked it before.
Thanks for the video
Out the Mountain Loop Highway... Continue enjoying the PNW Marc.
I've been in that area many times... I stopped going because of the amount of people who go out there.

Awesome, I think Cooper is part Goat . :-)
Hi Kevin. More Goat Cooper ... on the way. Thanks!
Good image stabilization on the camera.
Thank goodness for post production digital stabilization - corrects a lot of original handheld camera work. Stay safe out there Walker.
Beautiful scenery, unfortunately well beyond my current or future abilities. Thanks for the views Brian 78
Appreciate you making the journey with us!
Wonderful day for Dirt & Rock Time, Thanks Bill & scratch for lil-Cooper ! Be Well, Friends ! ATB T God Bless
Thanks, and more scratches for Cooper again this week - lucky dog!

Can you say a word or two about where this hike is?
Yes - I am more than happy to... Appreciate you asking and watching.

I'm worn out just watching this.
just getting to prime water... you know the feeling buddy.
What is the mingling metal on cooper. Frodo wears a bear bell but it seems th be getting quiter with age.

In Russian it's called "Goat's trail". But why do you keep Cooper on the leash? He seems pretty well stays on the trail.

your dog loks happys
He is his happiest when we are outdoors backpacking... Thanks for being out there with us!
