Saw this band about 10 times after AENT and I enjoy seeing Steve happy and Marty smiling. They were amazing and on FIRE. EQUAL to the Beatles in writing, singing, surpassing in quality output ... Ziggy aint got nothing to say... BEST Rickenbacher player ever.. better than Lennon/McGuire/Petty and top ten Fender Strat player ever. Steve is top 15 bass and equals all of his hero writers... Bowie, Maca, Floyd..etc plus each year he exceeds their output... come on. The CHURCH is up there with the WHO, Beatles, Pink Floyd, Zep, Bowie, rarefied air!
Pure Chance 😮 I stumble across this, and the standout for me is witnessing Peter Koppes delivering us into the quintessential ever so subtle flavours of Jimi's Universe, I'm feeling the ❤ love. Day 5 and Invisible closes the curtain, comforting any wounds (self baggage) carried, prior.

On a quest for some early-mid 2000s live stuff, I came across this. 'Block' is easily in my top-10 Church tunes, and this live version really, really delivers.
the whole acoustic set here is majestic, esp the driving version of easy with steve on 12 string & marty on bass, wish this was much longer & had some songs from heyday & seance, & some solo marty tunes from art attack!

I would pay my souls ransom to see this iteration of The Church again… There is and will be no other! SK, MWP, PK & TP!

The Basement is a good venue to see bands , Small venue and always great sound quality. this is perfect
Such joy. Thank you.
Uninvited is certainly a good album, but I was thrilled to hear the classics, 2 places at once & Invisible.
