Nothing wrong with buying a variety of different salvage finds. They are way cheaper than actually buying the car, but many people aren't ready for the journey it takes to get these back to their original state. Me personally, I would buy an old muscle car salvaged, but I definitely would be prepared for the process of putting back together to keep it for myself. 😂
Very interesting and well considered content editing and presentation . Good to see the 'nitty gritty' of dismantling and the care in reselling . Thanks lads !
As a retired Dealership Porsche Premier/Audi tech as far back as when Audis were basically junk & the 100LS was top of the line (I was 99% a Porsche tech) so it pains me to say that the R8 V/10 is quicker & faster than ALMOST any 911 or Cayman variant.
As a eBay motors parts reseller.. always a big inspiration watching you guys! One day I want to upgrade to a warehouse and part out cars of that nature as well.. keep it up fellas and big baller category is interesting to watch
Very interesting seeing the breakdown of a destroyed high end car. I just don't understand how you can hold onto parts for so many years and either have not discounted them or price adjusted based on current market value. Thanks Guys! Eddie
I like the more practical cars but don’t mind a fancy one every so often. It’s good to have inventory that outher people don’t have it keeps the shop growing.
I was teeing up on the back 9 when my phone alerted me to this video, I literally stopped mid stroke and walked off the tee box to watch this! Great video, love the Juke, and I was kidding about golf, golf is terrible.
We gotta post more often boys. This channel should be at at least a million subs.. doesn’t necessarily need to be a new car each video. I think you can get more juice out of lee c parts
I enjoy watching the more exotic builds, but I also enjoy the mid-level builds. I think it’s more your guises personalities in the way you conduct your business. That’s entertaining to me, so keep up the good work. 👏👏👏
Hello, un grand merci pour vos superbes vidéos . Je suis mécanicien en suisse à Genève depuis 30 ans . J’adore ce que vous faites et le super travail effectué . Bravo à vous et super compétences . Merci
Nothing wrong with some high-end cars. Nice break in between the camaro's, corvettes, and jukes 😆.(we do need some more of the smoked series tho). Plus, who doesn't like a nice porche or two. I think y'all have a good variety of car content.
Great guys! ❤...muscle cars being restored make sense..We shouldn't junk these cars..for that matter anything not even an old tandem cycle..Even God loves to see them come back to life.May God bless them
Not to say the Hell Cat isn’t a nice. But in 2016 I bought a SRT 392. I ordered it and by far it has about everything Dodge could put in it. Basically the same as top of the line 2016 Hell Cat . The car came in Red line red which was only offered for one year. The great thing about this car is it’s fun to drive. It looks like the first day I bought it. I have 16000 miles on it and at this point I will never get rid of it at any price. Just thought I would comment on this. Srt 392 is just a fun car without smoking the tires which I never done
There's a IAA auction Templeton mass. They have a c8 and some 5th gen camaros that are exactly what u guys buy every time I go there I think of your channel
0:08 You see this type of accident all the time with cars that are lightweight and have powerful 600hp engines. If you accelerate a little too much when you are already traveling at 140 mph, the drive wheels will spin and the car flies off the road.
Fantastic vid as always gents. Poor R8 :( Regarding the purple Porsche that was painted - any update video coming on that or was it wrapped up already? I saw the last video but nothing after that.
Love all the videos particularly the High end stuff, but in the last $ breakdown the Audi's potential profit of $20K against a purchase price of $30K I think is a better proposition considering the Porsche purshase price was $80K and only provided an additional $10K potential profit, rather interesting don't you think?
Yes, if you do it based off percentage the layout is totally different. Something like the BRZ TS from the last salvage story will rank very high even in comparison to the big dollar high end cars.
Normally aftermarket exhausts say "performance use only" or "for track use only" just legally stating they say its not for street use due to emissions or some state law, buuuutttt they all know what we're doing lol
I mean, I would say the R8 should be #1 on that list. Spending $30,000 and making $20,000 sounds like a lot less risk than spending $88,000 to make $30,000
Lee, I think you need to divide the profit by the purchase price to get a better indicator for the ROI. You should show that as a separate percentage column. Oh and then the R8 performs better than the GT3 RS 😂
Sell all the panels and make a exo cart out of it! It ran. Replace some drive line parts for the front. Make a skeleton cage and that would be a badass fun toy. Big sad
hello, greetings from Turkey 🇹🇷 I watch your videos with love, there is nothing like distributing and installing the vehicle parts that I admire like a jigsaw puzzle. The important thing is to do your job carefully, I wish it had Turkish subtitles, it would be better with love😊
Have to admit, I shed a tear for this scrap video. I always wanted an R8, was hoping you guys would rebuild it since you do that on occasion, especially since this one sounded so good. But oh well, feel free to send an emblem my way. I hate Jukes!!
these are great cars, even in this shape, so worth it. i would think you should take into consideration the intial cost not the profit.... shouldn't it be the % of the cost to the profit?
Personally I don't think either Porsche or Audi do anything for me.having been a dismantler for 20+ years at new England's #1 auto recycler (ABC auto parts) now LKQ have not been in the industry for over 15 years now but keep up with the trends ..... every Porsche motor we would pull was sold before it got to us coming from the auction was always a call list for ppl needing certain engines and transmissions from any and all Porsche models as for Audi they were a pain in the ass with the Quattro and others German engineering at it's finest...... hey you like them and that's great but you also like Ford's so 😂..... they are all Volkswagen brought to you by Adolf Hitler and freinds.....yea he started the company.,. great content fellas 👍👌✌️🇺🇲🇺🇸
Maybe u should have waited for back banger and put both ends together since it was running fine. I knew a farmer who used to do that in the 70's welding 2 halves together 😂😂😂
Agree with you-I was an insurance appraiser from the late 1970" until 2023 mostly in New York-it was a standard repair procedure underwritten by the insurance industry to so-called "clip" cars-cut off damaged front section or rear sections properly section them possibly at factory seams -create so-called sleeves and weld them together-even suspensions weren't removed-used so-called rolling clips.
I dont think you've realized it, but what you scrapped was aluminium. It scraps for about 3 cents more than steel. You're welcome.
He said that within the first 2 minutes 😂

I’ve been catching up on the last 6 months of your videos.
I can see why your subscribers have more than doubled since then.
Keep up the great work.
I just love seeing things come apart and see the engineering involved to creating all the various cars 🤘🏼
wonderful, my dear brother, you are truly a master craftsman that I appreciate. I'm working the same as you but for hyundai car company.

The is what the "dead inventory" category is for. Items that have to be discounted over time, damaged in storage, or literally never sell.
I actually love real mechanic and body work guys that can do this kind of work
I like the more practical cars but don’t mind a fancy one every so often. It’s good to have inventory that outher people don’t have it keeps the shop growing.
Love seeing the high end exotics, but like many have said, the variety makes the channel super interesting. Keep up the great work

Great pick! Porsche, BMW, ferrari - would be great to see.
When this channel blows up and has millions of subs, i hope the viedos stay just like this.
Do you have to follow a manual on how to take these things apart or just wing it?
Just start turning wrenches 😁

These R8s look so gorgeous.

I think use to see that car around Southern Maryland (Waldorf) alot.
I love seeing the numbers, I love seeing you all did high end cars and low.

did you just disconnect those ignition coil connectors without breaking any of them????? you are an actual god.
It’s way easier outside the car. Our R8 kart has at least 3 broken lol
What happened to the manual swap dodge demon build. I’m just wondering, has it just been forgotten because of the other projects you guys have?
Yea I'm hoping that they will continue with that project. It's the most interesting one in my opinion.
This might be the craziest part out yet
I think the GT3RS will take that crown for a while. It may look a little less wild and crazy than an R8, but it is certainly a wild car.
@@scraplifedalt Now we need a Huracan or Gallardo part out to complete the VW supercars

The motor almost pays for the whole car😂

What is profit in say 4 weeks parts going of the 150 odd. Guessing 15k possible of the 20k odd. Great buy.
It would have been interesting to aluminum weld the busted front end members back on to do a burnout or something like that

My favorite generation R8 too to be honest. Especially with that wonderful carbon fiber side blade.

There is money in the parts game the key is to have lots of inventory so you are not waiting on "the dead inventory" to sell for capital.
the second life of a beautiful thing
these are great cars, even in this shape, so worth it. i would think you should take into consideration the intial cost not the profit.... shouldn't it be the % of the cost to the profit?
