The Audi R8 highest trim packages come equipped with a monster v10 engine. Capable of producing massive horsepower numbers when twin turbos are added. The Audi R8 also comes with a massive price tag to purchase. Which left us wondering, how much are the parts worth?

Nothing wrong with buying a variety of different salvage finds. They are way cheaper than actually buying the car, but many people aren't ready for the journey it takes to get these back to their original state. Me personally, I would buy an old muscle car salvaged, but I definitely would be prepared for the process of putting back together to keep it for myself. 😂
I just love seeing things come apart and see the engineering involved to creating all the various cars 🤘🏼
I dont think you've realized it, but what you scrapped was aluminium. It scraps for about 3 cents more than steel. You're welcome.

I like the more practical cars but don’t mind a fancy one every so often. It’s good to have inventory that outher people don’t have it keeps the shop growing.
As a retired Dealership Porsche Premier/Audi tech as far back as when Audis were basically junk & the 100LS was top of the line (I was 99% a Porsche tech) so it pains me to say that the R8 V/10 is quicker & faster than ALMOST any 911 or Cayman variant.
Very interesting seeing the breakdown of a destroyed high end car. I just don't understand how you can hold onto parts for so many years and either have not discounted them or price adjusted based on current market value. Thanks Guys! Eddie
The is what the "dead inventory" category is for. Items that have to be discounted over time, damaged in storage, or literally never sell.
Nothing wrong with some high-end cars. Nice break in between the camaro's, corvettes, and jukes 😆.(we do need some more of the smoked series tho). Plus, who doesn't like a nice porche or two. I think y'all have a good variety of car content.

Not to say the Hell Cat isn’t a nice. But in 2016 I bought a SRT 392. I ordered it and by far it has about everything Dodge could put in it. Basically the same as top of the line 2016 Hell Cat . The car came in Red line red which was only offered for one year. The great thing about this car is it’s fun to drive. It looks like the first day I bought it. I have 16000 miles on it and at this point I will never get rid of it at any price. Just thought I would comment on this. Srt 392 is just a fun car without smoking the tires which I never done

Love all the videos particularly the High end stuff, but in the last $ breakdown the Audi's potential profit of $20K against a purchase price of $30K I think is a better proposition considering the Porsche purshase price was $80K and only provided an additional $10K potential profit, rather interesting don't you think?
Yes, if you do it based off percentage the layout is totally different. Something like the BRZ TS from the last salvage story will rank very high even in comparison to the big dollar high end cars.

Lee, I think you need to divide the profit by the purchase price to get a better indicator for the ROI. You should show that as a separate percentage column. Oh and then the R8 performs better than the GT3 RS 😂
Thats probably why he set it up this way from the beginning! I guess I just need to but a non porsche to take the gt3rs off the top spot!
Have to admit, I shed a tear for this scrap video. I always wanted an R8, was hoping you guys would rebuild it since you do that on occasion, especially since this one sounded so good. But oh well, feel free to send an emblem my way. I hate Jukes!!

I think the GT3RS will take that crown for a while. It may look a little less wild and crazy than an R8, but it is certainly a wild car.

Sell all the panels and make a exo cart out of it! It ran. Replace some drive line parts for the front. Make a skeleton cage and that would be a badass fun toy. Big sad

Normally aftermarket exhausts say "performance use only" or "for track use only" just legally stating they say its not for street use due to emissions or some state law, buuuutttt they all know what we're doing lol

Agree with you-I was an insurance appraiser from the late 1970" until 2023 mostly in New York-it was a standard repair procedure underwritten by the insurance industry to so-called "clip" cars-cut off damaged front section or rear sections properly section them possibly at factory seams -create so-called sleeves and weld them together-even suspensions weren't removed-used so-called rolling clips.
The Juke placement @19:00 feels intentional.
What is profit in say 4 weeks parts going of the 150 odd. Guessing 15k possible of the 20k odd. Great buy.
There is money in the parts game the key is to have lots of inventory so you are not waiting on "the dead inventory" to sell for capital.
It would have been interesting to aluminum weld the busted front end members back on to do a burnout or something like that
