  • On this trip to Cornwall Ben and Lois managed to get a day on the South West Coast Path, one of their favourite sections from Looe to Polperro. Both are quintessential Cornish fishing villages and have the charm of something from the chapters of Poldark. The wilds of the coast is always a great place to test some kit and some bushcraft skills too.

I’m with Lois - if I come back home with muddy boots and mud on my trousers then I’m bound to have had a great time!

Nice video, we are down on holiday shortly in Polperro and am planning to walk that piece so nice tip about it still being muddy in places.

I’m with you guys all the way…we’ll, except for the dip in that chilly North Atlantic water. On a warm summer day in Alaska, I went swimming in the Bering Strait off of Nome. As soon as my finger tips touched the water, I knew it was a mistake. I surfaced and waved to others on the ship that it was great. It wasn’t great, but I thought they needed encouragement to join me. Secretly I vowed to never again make that mistake. You guys are hearty souls …but, I’ll bet you didn’t linger in the water. It makes me cold just watching you float around. Stay warm. I love your adventures to the coast. Ciao

I love it down hear in Cornwall. But even being a local for 10 years I’ll leave the sea for later in the year. Great vid guys. I do love that neck knife set up.

I can verify by owning a Nomad that it is the ultimate in utilitarian camping kit and is the picture of quality.

Question: What are the rain jackets you use? I love that they are longer than most!
