I have the center diff in my XV-02, currently with 20,000 oil. I have a 3Racing EX Big Bore crawler damper with 100 oil. When it comes to electronics, the classic silver can with a Hobbywing 1080 controller works, but also HV 2S Shortys. I trust Pirelli when it comes to tires.
Nice video, thanks for sharing I’m running a few mods on my xv02 Ta05 arms front and rear(for more travel with less driveshaft movement) Carbon bumper brace Carbon top deck full length but not attached at middle. Slim lipo under rear shaft(lots of dremeling required) Esc next to servo Roll bars front and rear Center diff All titanium tie rods and most screws Yeah racing diff front All four lower suspension mounts are Tamiya adjustable Carbon towers Rc jaz alloy front hubs and knuckles Glass Reinforced chassis(not installed yet) Servo has extra mounts to chassis to stop flexing Yeah racing alloy steering I’ve asked RW if they could make alternative size spur gears for the centre differential. I’d like smaller although it could not obviously go much smaller due to the diff size. A smaller spur would mean I can have a lower ratio or have the motor nearer the centre of the chassis. I like the chassis but it is a pig to work on and such little space inside the chassis for electronics. Be great if they released a wider chassis for flat lipo mounting as standard.
Hello! Thank you for sharing your XV-02 setup! Before switching into Xray XB4 I also was considering the Ta05 arms for my modified XV-01. Yeah there's not a lot of space for the electronics, but anyway Tamiya has made a great Rc Rally chassis. I'm really interested to see your XV-02, have you published somewhere the photos?
Great video, the XV-02 is a great rally chassis. Have you considered the Tamiya soft springs(54507) they are fairly soft. Also, any thoughts on running the centre differential?
Unlucky I was not able to find available the Tamiya 54507, the Xray springs are a great alternative. Slippery clutch or central differential are a great add on. In my next Rc Rally car, the converted Xray XB4, I'm going to start the season using the slippery clutch, later on I'll maybe switch to the central differential
Ti ringrazio, decisamente si! Al momento considero questo telaio il migliore al mondo per fare Rc Rally. Mi riferisco a telai usciti da scatola senza modifiche
@@dariorcgarage thanks for your reply, i decided to buy an used xv 01 long damper version.because xv 02 is still expensive in my country . can you suggest what important upgrade for my xv 01 to be competitive against the other kit, im already have universal shaft front and rear
@@bormabpjs6293 good choice! For more info about the XV-01 check this playlist th-cam.com/play/PLZB8bN9H4U_glc4cUtAvKH4hpbM_tXXU1.html&si=KLcCUFKsdF5sgvNG
Definitely getting the embieracing direct steering 👍👍👍been experiencing a few issues with stock steering
Thanks for the review. I’d like to see the LC racing ptgr review
Thank you dario for sharing this tips! I know there are a lot of hop ups for xv02 that fit tt02.
Yep, we can say that XV-02 and TT-02 are like cousins
Right! I know diff and axles are compatible!
What do you think about XV-02 vs LC Racing PTG2R?

What’s your opinion on the XM-01 Pro? I can’t wait for it to be released! Kinda expensive but I NEED it lol
Tamiya seems going into the right direction.
Looking at the pictures, probably it will behave like a smaller XV-02

video molto bello, mi piacerebbe riprendere in mano questo hobby magari prendendo la xv02.. la consigli?

Great video, do you intend on getting the XM-01?
Maybe just for test it, at the moment I would not know how to use it, since for the Rc Rally Season I'm going to race with a Xray Chassis
wich one is better, xv 01 or xv 02?
In my opinion the XV-02. The XV-01 needs to be heavily modified
